- A Pickaxe in One Hand, a Rifle in the Other" is an Albanian patriotic song written in 1961 in celebration of the great successes made by the People's Socialist Republic of Albania and Party of Labour of Albania (PPSH). In Albania, the pickaxe and rifle were used much more commonly to represent the PPSH, the leading communist vanguard party, than the sickle and hammer for the two's value to Albanian history, the rifle for the liberation and defense of the country, and the pickaxe to build it. The song became one of the most popular patriotic songs in Albania during the socialist period, being used as the radio interval for Radio Tirana until the fall of socialism, and seeing use throughout the world by pro-Hoxha Marxist-Leninist organizations in celebration of Albania and the PPSH during the 70s and 80s.

But, alas, the past two recordings are fairly common on here, but this version I found while searching on an old Chinese site and since it was not yet on youtube or seemingly anywhere else, I felt I had to upload it.

Trailmix 20 танки means tanks... so idk how that’s truly an insult. It’s like calling a wanna be colonizer an imperialist... don’t take offense to it. Wear it proudly if you seek communal living through authoritarian socialism. It does call out to me, but not for taking, but instead like how taking a difficult class with a great teacher draws me towards learning such a difficult subject. Tankie is like well like the National Bolshevik ideas of Stalin through military “persuasion”. Also I don’t think libertarian socialist are called tankies, or at least the ones who don’t want to ENFORCE anarchy.
Trailmix 20 and yes I know a lot about leftist ideas. Leninist ideas are of a central authority guiding the labor for communal output, Stalinist ideas are controlling the labor for “equal distribution”, and Maoist is dumb it’s stalinist but instead of making actual progress they have backyard forges to bloat the numbers. My ideal society is if a willful anarcho communist, where nothing in enforced, by through social contract by all we contribute with selflessness and humility. Authoritarian socialism appeals because that central body takes our labor and gives out the collective products. Where hard goals are set and I want to meet them, without the label of enemy of the people if I fail that goal tho idk maybe It will be a good motivation. If you don’t know that communism isn’t gov control just ask and I’ll explain that so much more.
Trailmix 20 also tankie is associated with the authoritarian because of well tanks, but tankies who just want tankies are not communist. If there is not collective input, collective output, nor communal all then it’s not communism. You can be a communist and think the authoritarian way is what’s best to achieve it tho
