Fun fact: this song was uploded for the 578th anniversary of the League of Lezhë, which basically was a military and diplomatic alliance of the Albanian aristocracy, formed to resist the Ottoman Empire, and it was led by Skanderbeg.
Ingen's perfect timing never fail
Sick balkan countries 😆
578 is a weird number. Could be ingen's favorite or he just didn't know about it before
I'm still here
His name is not Skanderberg but Georgios Kastriotis and it is not called Lezhe but Lissos.
Mehmed “the Conqueror” said for Skanderbeg “there won’t be another lion like him on this earth”
Imagine if Scanderbeg was leading the defense of Constantinople...he would have slapped young Mehmed's arse back to Mongolia.
@@albarmy1 Turks came from Central Asia, not Mongolia actually.
The sultan also said when he heard that Skanderbeg died: “Now Europe has lost his shield and sword”.
@Vard X Skanderbeg used mountainous terrain of Albania to his advantage in order to defeat Ottomans. What will he do against hundreds of cannons stuck in a city?
@@heoknk3002 There actually the Ottoman Empire attack Kruja the fortress of Scanderbeg three times with 150.000,250.000 and 300.000-350.000 and again lost the Battle against Scanderbeg. 😂😂
Scanderbeg won over 30 differents Battles against Ottoman Empire.
Gjergj Arianiti won 2 Battle against Ottomans.
Albanians won several Battles against Ottoman Empire but we didnt crush them in all area of Ottoman Empire to give the deffinitiv attack and to end.
Scanderbeg want to lead one great army against Ottoman Empire to destroy all Ottoman Empire but Scanderbeg was unluckly because Pope Piu die and the Great army was not created.

1. A report of the envoy of the Duke of Milan from 1454 calls Skanderbeg "an Albanian Christian" ("quello Sanderbech...è christiano Albanexe").
2. The Italian humanist and poet Antonio Bonfini Asculano (1427-1502) calls Skanderbeg an "Albanian prince" ("Sandorbegum Albanensem Principem").
3. Even the Venetians never questioned his Albanian origins. In 1464, a Venetian senator angrily said of Skanderbeg, that "we do not trust him at all, because he is Albanian, treacherous and dangerous" ("nuy non si fidamo di luy per niente, perche è Albanese et è traditore et tristo!").
4. In 1464, the Duke of Milan, Francesco Sforza, wrote a letter to Skanderbeg, addressing him with these words: "The excellent and powerful lord, like our dear brother, the Albanian lord Gjergj Kastrioti, called Skanderbeg" . ("Illustri et potenti Domino tanquam fratri nostro carissimo Domino Georgio Castriot aliter Scanderbeg albanesi").
5. In a letter from Giovanni Antonio, the prince of Taranto, on October 31, 1460, at the beginning of the letter he addresses Skanderbeg with these words: "Giovanni Antonio, prince of Taranto, sends greetings to George the Albanian!" ("Ioannes Antonius princeps Tarenti Georgio Albano salutem!"). He goes on to say: "Italian blood is not afraid of the Albanian face!" (nec faciam Albanam timebit Italicus sanguis!") and other such insults to the Albanians.
Likewise Ottoman sources, historians and chroniclers, describe him as being Albanian:
Asikpasazade (1400-1484)
Tursun Beg (1420-1499)
Mehmed Nesri (1450-1520)
Idris Bitlisi (1457-1520)
Ibn Kemal (1468-1534)
Sadeddin Efendi (1536-1599)
Mustafa Ali (1541-1600)
Solakzade (1592-1658) and others, all describe him as being an Albanian (arnavud).
Hoca Sâdeddin Efendi (1536-1599), in his Tacü't-Tevarih, says:
“The Albanian ruler had a handsome son named Iskender, whose bodily figure inspired love, while his attractive face was an expression of his beauty and grace.”
Ibn Kemal, historian of the Turkish court during Skanderbeg’s wars, writes: “The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battlefield, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse…”
Skanderbeg’s own testimony, however, is stronger than both Western and Ottoman sources combined. So what excatly did he say about himself? Let’s see how he replied to the albanophobe cited above, namely Giovanni Antionio of Taranto who had insulted the Albanian nation:
“Moreover, you scorn our people, and compared the Albanians to sheep, and according to your custom think of us with only insults. It would seem you know nothing of the origins of our race. Our elders were the Epirotes from whence Pyrrhus himself came forth, the might of whom the Romans could barely withstand. Those very Epirotes whom with their weapons set forth and conquered Taranto and much of Italy.
There exists no challenge to their might from the likes of the Tarantines, a species of wet men born only to catch fish.
And since you proclaim Albania as part of Macedonia, you grant also then, our elders as nobles who went as far as India under Alexander the Great, defeating all the people that came before them with great ease.
From those men descend these who you now call sheep. But the nature of things have not changed. Why do your men run away in the faces of sheep?”
Very true my friend

Kastriotis named is after Kastoria, his grandfather who was Greek of course was there and his father nd his mother was serbian. His name Georgios not Ertil or Erdi like Albanians nowadays, he was Christian Orthodox not Muslim like 75% of albania. All historians referred him as Greek, he actually wrote his writings in Greek never in Albanian cause your language never was written back then. You can lie about older history but where was your bravery in ww2 1940? Where was that "illyrian" blood that you make fairytales the last 25 years. Those albanian lies started from Hodja communism like also the skopians lies about Makedonia started from Tito communism. Your flag is stolen like also skopians did. And thank USA you exist now as nation. @@nikolasmaillis6862 E-V13 (Haplogroup E) is one of the Haplogroups that were common among Illyrians, yes.
E-V13 as Haplogroup Y originated from the so-called Neolithic settlers, who entered the Balkans from Anatolia about 8500 years ago. These Neolithic settlers were the founders of the Minoan civilization, the first European civilization in history. They also played a major role in the ethnogenesis of the Mycenaeans, Greeks, Thracians, Dacians and Illyrians that followed.
E-V13 is one of the haplogroups that were common among the Illyrians, yes.
Thus, although E-V13 is not exclusively "Illyrian" but rather paleobalkanic in general, it was one of the main Illyrian y-DNA haplogroups. In addition to E-V13, the Illyrians probably possessed the haplogroup R1b, originating from the Indo-European which gave them their languages, to the Thracians and Greeks, and J2b, another Mediterranean Neolithic haplogroup common to today's Albanians, Greeks and Italians, among others.
It is also worth mentioning that the three haplogroups so typical for today's Albanians have also been found in Neolithic and Bronze Age remains on the eastern coast of the Adriatic (ancient Illyria) !
: E1b1 (Haplogroup E) - R1b - J2b2 .
- source : ( The genomic history of Southeast Europe )
However, research on genetics is not reliable because there are several hypotheses.
However there is a reliable study on the anthropology (shape of the skull).
Anthropology shows us the truth.👌 ( Albanians are Pelasgians = Illyrians, Thracians, etc ... = today Albanians )
Anthropology.
The current Albanians have the particularity of having the highest cephalic index (85 to 90) in Europe (Hyperbrachycephaly/round head) and a pronounced planoccipitalia (flattening of the posterior and inferior wall of the skull).
Ripley, in his classification system, considered the shape of the head as the most reliable index in the racial diagnosis.
Jacque and Morgan (🇫🇷) affirms source : (l'humanité archéologique, Paris 1921): "The oldest archaeological documents that we have about these settlers lead us to think that their migration was made by coming from continental Europe, and that, during the fourth millennium before our era.
Then would have intervened the Pelasgians 🇦🇱, bringing with them the knowledge of the metal. While occupying the European Helladia, these tribes would have advanced until the Islands and the Asian territories ... the other, the most recent, which would have been the author of the Mycenaean culture, and would be related to the tribes, which in these times, inhabited Thrace and the banks of the Danube .
These settlers would not be Hellenes properly speaking, but Thraco-Phrygians ".
This brachycephaly is, also, celke of the mountain dwellers " said to " round head " of the 5th or 4th millenium which populated, partly, the Near and Middle East such as Sumerians (not semitic people), Hittites, Elamites.
This characteristic is confirmed by the archaeological excavations carried out in the oldest necropolises discovered in a very vast geographical space going from the High Danube to Asia Minor while passing by the Balkans and particularly the regions populated, currently, by populations of Pelasgians stock (Albanian ethnic group).
To finish I make notice that, C.H and C.B hawes ( Crete, the forerunner of Greece, London 1909 ), have established marked anaologies between Albanian skulls.
This discovery corroborates, once more, the Pelasgians-Illyrians origin of the populations, known as Dorian, originating in the North of Greece whereas, only, their leaders or kings, minority in the country (king of Sparta Agis IV, in the IIIrd s before JC, affirmed that there were three periecles for a Spartan), were of Semito-Egyptian origin as the many arguments prove it.
@@nikolasmaillis6862 First of all I open a parenthesis about the name of Albania or Albanians quoted by Strabo (around 58-21/25) in the 1st century BC and Claudius Ptolemy (around 100 - 170 AD) in the 2nd century AD.
It derives from the name of an Illyrian tribe, the Albanoi, which was located around the city of Albanopolis (now Zgërdhesh located in the region of Krujë).
Moreover, even today, a region of Albania, from the north of Tirana (between the rivers Mat and Erzen), is called Albëni (gheg dialect) or Arbëri (tosk dialect).
But this name Albanoi with its various variants (Arbanites, Arvanites, Arvanitis, Arvanos, Arban, Arbani, Arbanon, Arnavuts, Arnauts, Arbëri, Arbër, Arbëni, Arbën, Albën, Albanois, or Albanians) really began to spread when the Albanian territories became a field of hostility and a buffer zone between Byzantines and the new Slavic invaders (Serbs, Croats etc.. ...) towards the beginning of the seventh century AD.
Several writers of the eleventh century, including Michel Attaliate and Jean Skyltzes, have recounted this kind of confrontation and widely spoken of these Albanian mountain tribes.
It is the Angevin chancelleries (Charles I of Anjou, brother of St Louis, proclaimed himself king of Albania in 1272) which, in the 13th century, conveyed the name of Albanian or Albanians, which spread rapidly, like wildfire, throughout Europe.
It should be noted that the Albanians never use this name (Albanian) to designate their own ethnic group: they call themselves Shqiptar, that is to say son or child of the eagle.

The Battle of Albulena (2 September 1457) was the most glorious and the biggest victory of Albanian nation in its history where the Albanian king Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg defeated an Ottoman army of 80,000 soldiers with only 8,000-10,000 soldiers. The Albanians won the battle as a result of the Albanian attack on the Ottoman camp when they were unprepared for war. This resulted in a massacre of the Ottoman army by the Albanian army where more than 30,000 Ottoman soldiers were killed in the clash and thousand more were captured. This battle was also a big political victory for the Albanian League of Lezhë and for Skanderbeg, because many Ottoman commanders were captured, including the traitor Albanian prince and a commander of the Ottoman army, Hamza Kastrioi (nephew of Skanderbeg). With the capture of Hamza, he was imprisoned in the Kingdom of Naples. The Battle of Albulena also gave morale to the Europeans to continue to resist the Ottoman Empire and also more helps were sent to Skanderbeg.
Glory to Skanderbeg! May his memory live for eternity!🇦🇱👑
What help other Europeans send, if they helped really with efforts, Albania would have become independent then.

@@FrenciHasanaj ok I agree but if other European nations also helped that 40 yrs would have changed into permanent freedom. Europeans would have claimed Albania from Turks.

With the tactics he learned from the Turks, he ambushed several thousand Turkish soldiers just as the Turks did to them. As a result, his castle was razed to the ground by the "Greek slayer" Sultan Mehmet and all Albanian-Venetian soldiers were killed.

This region was late Romanized. It was famous for its excellent soldiers, frustrated but courageous. In Illyria (in the geographical sense) was indeed the most powerful of the Roman armies, in charge of watching over the Danube (nearly 12 legions, that is to say 130 000 men) ..
Skanderbeg himself Claimed he was Greek, descended from Pyrrhus of Epirus. Even the Turks referred to him as Skanderbeg, meaning Alexander, a Greek name. A great source on the appropriation of the Skanderbeg myth is Albanian identities: myth and history, USA: Indiana University Press, p. 43, written essays by an assortment of western academics, wherein they refer to Skanderbeg as
“…an episode taken from medieval history was central for Albanian national mythology. In the absence of medieval kingdom or empire the Albanian nationalists choose Skanderbeg....”
Italian, English and Swedish reports consider Skanderbeg Greek. Thus Italian A. Salvi in the tragedy (1718) refers to him as a Greek (Greco). The Englishman C. Randall in 1810 he calls a Greek Hero (Grecian Hero) and the Swedish Barrau initially and Rudbeck later (1835) consider C. Kastriotis Greek. The History of the French historian Paganel (Paganel: Histoire de Scanderbey), published in Paris in 1855 clearly refers to him as a Greek.
Kastrioti (Greek name) wrote and spoke only Greek, Latin, and Turkish (which he learned at the ottoman court)--never Albanian- and the Turks and Europeans referred to him as a Greek hero and sovereign. Albanians never cared for him until some Albanian intelligentsia in the early 20th century wanted to now be identified as European instead of Turk so they appropriated him and even the Greek byzantine Double-headed Eagle. Albanians needed to distance themselves from the Ottomans, and Albania is mostly an Islamic nation and opposed Europe and Christians as Ottoman mercenaries for most of its history, so they wanted to find some connection with Europe and they appropriated a somewhat obscure medieval Greek nobleman forgotten by time to most people of the day, namely George Kastriotis. His grandfather father was Konstantinos (Greek name) and his father Ioannis (Greek for John).
In fact the so-called Albanian nobles: Arianitis, Dukagjinis, Zaharias and Thopias, etc all have Greek names albeit slightly different spellings. Many held Byzantine Roman titles; Byzantine noble families as the area was an important waypoint on the Via Egnatia to the west through Dyrrachium, the Ancient Greek colony of Epidamnos and modern Durrës founded by ancient Greek colonists from Corinth and Corfu around the 7th century BC.
The Byzantine emperor and chronicler Constantine VII Porphirogenithus, whose work "De Administrando Imperio" is a crucial primary source on early Middle age Balkan history, makes no mention of the existence of an Albanian people in the Balkans, yet goes in depth about Bulgarian and Serbian history.

Even the Serbs of the time considered Skanderbeg as Albanian, his father (Gjon) was buried in an Orthodox monastery, the Serbs named the tower where he is buried "Albanian tower 🇦🇱"...
source : ( Himelstir. p. 45 )
Moreover, even the descendants of Skanderbeg from the Arbëresh community qualify as Albanians 🇦🇱 and not as Serbs ...
Example : Shopie Castriota, loris Castriota etc ...
Alessandro Cutolo ( Italian historian ) :
" Gjon ( father of Skanderbeg ) married Princess Vojsava, the daughter of another excellent Albanian🇦🇱 leader, the Lord of Polog " .
Source : in is work "Skanderbeg" , p.20, published in Milan (Italy) in 1940.
His mother ( Skanderbeg )came from the Muzaka family (Albanian) and not from the Brankovic family ...
Father was Gjon Kastrioti, son of Pal Kastrioti. Mother was Voisava from the Muzaka-Family (as stated in the memoires of Gjon Muzaka written sometime before 1510)
Documents from that time only state that she was an albanian.
There are no serbian documents that state she was serbian. In his memoires Gjon Muzaka (before 1510) wrote that she is a muzaka.
We only have two sources from that era that give us a hint of her origin. One is geographically and the other is ethnically .
Geographic source:
barleti wrote that it was from polog. Member of a noble house and tribal leader.
Why tribal and not Serbian?
First of all, the triballi were an ancient Thraco-Illyrian ( Albanian ) tribe.
The same name was again used in the Middle Ages / Byzantine era for the inhabitants of the ancient tribal area.
All the people who lived in this area were called triballi (Albanians, Bulgarians and Serbs).
(And let's not forget that the Tribalians were Slavised for the majority ...
But remained Thraco-Illyrian/Albanian in their blood ...)
Today, the majority of Albanians in Macedonia live in the Polog region (the eastern part of Macedonia).
Exemple :
Appianus Alexandrinus (is a Greek historien of the Roman period) who qualified the Triballians of "Illyrian origin".
Source : "historia Romana".
Stephanus of Byzantium ( Great lexicographer of Constantinople, lived in the 6 th century), was written in the year 528-545, declares that the "Triballians are Illyrian.
Source : From Urbibus and Populis.
Other authors such as Strabo, Pliny, Ptolemy and Dion Cassius, state that the Triballians are of Thraco-Illyrian origin ( Pelasgians/Albanian )
Ethnical source:
Gjon Muzaka wrote in his memoires that she was a muzaka.
I think with the latter source we should conclude this whole discussion.
As it is a very close source - chronological and physical. The person in this case Gjon Muzaka knew Voisava personally and he fought besides Skanderbeg and skanderbegs son.
So he wouldnt dare to write something he would later regret right ? He wrote those memoires sometime before 1510 so basically before the book of barleti was printed.
