And thank you for having us, Joe, we had a blast! There is more to come from Joe in the next couple of weeks as he shares more of his winter training tips with us 🙌
There's something about Joe that I really like... Oh yeah, it's that laugh! 😂😂😂 Great video btw. I certainly couldn't imagine training at least twice a day every day! Always really cool to see diet stuff too. Chicken salad + sourdough sounds fantastic right about now 🤤
It finally happened ,I actually excercise now because I enjoy it ,that s how people can achieve because they enjoy ,love swimming ,cycling ,running and other stuff ,
Nice chap. In 2018 he beat (thrashed) me by 52 minutes over an olympic distance - great to see a pro entering local races in Norfolk though and brilliant for younger triathletes to see. +1 for the black apollo in Holt as a coffee stop - well worth stopping by
Good luck in 2021 Joe........its always a tonic to see your light hearted approach and that odd chuckle of yours lol......report back on my Jack Russell,s PB,S
Chatting at a 4:20 pace? I would be dying LOL. 6:15 pace for me for easy run. Mind you I have a few years on him. Great video, again the easy week for training comes up so I will have to implement that into the schedule.
Thanks for sharing. How do you find the frozen fruit compared to fresh. I made the switch to frozen fruit on my porridge but it does not taste the same and I have ended up.enjoyong it less. I may add a touch of sugar to see if it helps but will likely go back to fresh. Another failed experiment :) better to try and find out. Enjoyment is important in this game right after all the mental suffering you go through. I'm learning this. Important to treat yourself. 👍
I didn't know there was such a thing as a professional triathlete. Are they self-financed or do they earn enough money from sponsors to support themselves?
@@djh9769 Energy consumption is pretty much based on the power not the training zone. 200w for me and Joe Skipper has the same energy consumption approximately although the training effect is different.
Doesn't he have a bike sponsor? I've seen him on 3 different bikes now in quick succession; I'm surprised an athlete of his reputation isn't getting free bikes thrown at him.
Just want to say thanks to GTN for coming down and filming this, also thanks for the comments guys I hope you all enjoyed the video!
I saw that you are not on start list for Daytona. Is this because of that injury?
Great video. Bet there’s loads of stuff they couldn’t show!
Thank you very much for sharing your training content, as well as your life journey with us. It’s a great video content. Cheers, mate.

Joe Skipper thanks Joe for the great video and insights into your training. I loved the coffee brewing! What machine is that? Thanks
Thank you for doing a typical day and not some ridiculously epic day to make folks think every single session needs to be hard.
Would love to see this format return, also your platform provides a spotlight for pros that otherwise people might not know!
Close your eyes, its like listening to Andy Millman (Ricky Gervais) in Extras
Great to see a East Anglican legend and a decent accent 'like'! Brilliant episode, more like this with Joe please.
need more content like this😁
Joe is so nice! He's one of my favorites!!

Joe cracks me up. Better than watching a comedy movie.
Josh, legend!
We Love Joe!! What a fun video! He is like a normal bloke :)

Thats 4.20 kilometers per hour. Not mph mate. (7.20 second pace)
The public demands more such videos!!!!
Nice to hear Dereham get a mention.
Amazing athlete!
This was good
4:40 is like:wtf?
Great sharing
4:39 That man's face! hahahaha
Excellent!!!
I put my garmin on my dog as well!! His top speed was 27 so just a touch slower than yours!
Puts my slow, tiny training into harsh perspective hahaha Good info as always though. Adding the swim muscle group work next week. 🤙💪

Great content
Weich sunglasses does the age grouper wear? They‘re fire🔥
Funniest dude on triathlon to follow!
4:40 bloke 😆

There’s plenty of pro triathletes out there , they make money through sponsors and prizes at races .
@@georgekirkman8325 Wonderful
I’d be interested to see how much you can earn at Joe’s level and ability? 🤷♂️🤔
His laugh is same as Seth rogan's 😂
anybody question how he can eat just yogurt and granola and go for 3hr ride on 200w? my daughter breakfast has more calories than that
Your breakfast wont really be the fuel you use on your morning ride. You will use glycogen and fat stores already stored in the body.
I think you answered it. He was only doing 200w... z1/z2 require very little fuel, and many people overfuel for these rides

Joe sounds like David Brent :D
Guy at 4:40 😂
Steady ride = 3hrs @ 200w the day after a race 🚴🏻♂️😱😂

He’s sponsored by Quintana Roo
Quintana Roo; litespeed are owned by the same company American Bicycle Group which is likely why he has the litespeed
What is the breed of his dog?
Lazar poo
Lhasapoo
Jody Essex on steroids ,in fairness he comes across as really genuine/ps he makes a living doing something he enjoys ,I wash dishes
„like“ 🙄
Microwave...nutritions killer!!!
