Many big cities of the world have the same issue, traffic jams , if you separate office areas from residential areas, what else can one expect. It goes without saying that bad planning , and short term thinking , greed is a universal trait. But thanks to cities like Chandigarh , we now know better. Thanks LE CORBUSIER, the architect .
Excellent !!! hats off those who gathered the info. Each and every point is true about mumbai and navi mumbai which you nicely mention. Now I have been living in navi mumbai. One nice thing about navi mumbai is better planned city than mumbai.
Hey you forgot about Andheri (always playing second fiddle to bandra). But that's where the middle class jobs have really shifted to. BKC just attracts the HQs. And another fact is the Mumbai's population is on the decrease (yup, we've hit decay mode). The 2011 census shows that while Thane, New Bombay, etc are expanding Mumbai is freeing up space. There's your answer to the space problem.
I see a lot of comments asking to change the name in video from Bombay to Mumbai...ppl should not get offended if it's called Bombay once in a while ...it's not to insult or to offend but more out of the love for the older version of the city...calling it Bombay has a punch and makes it feel so glamerous....
The video is great, but sorry Mumbai has not air to breathe and no space to move. I stayed and worked in Mumbai for over 2 years, but will never want to go back there. I reject all job offers from Mumbai :) Mumbaikars are in their dreamland thinking its their pride to stay there, but there are a lot of better cities in the country and the world.
I agree...I lived in Mumbai for almost 9 years and I give advice to our young generation to avoid Mumbai unless your salary is exceptionally high...Mumbai has many positives also...the natural coastline and helpful people...monsoon which otherwise should have been a pleasant season becomes the worst season for Mumbai when commuting to office becomes extremely stressful and unpredictable...stress levels in other Indian cities are less...
Nope, you're wrong. If the price is high, then demand is low (because of demand being a dependent variable and price being an independent variable. Not vice versa.) - the exception being Giffen goods, expectations, and necessary goods.
Wouldn't it be better if the entire population takes public transport ONLY for daily commuting ??? but for that the transport section has to be good enough ......
Mumbai has only one problem . Low FSI in such a busy area. It is increasing though. The sea link was delayed due to congress doing politics and corruption. BJP dismantled an old bridge and built a new one in 7 hours. Shows the dedication level. Not being poltical but that’s the truth.
oh common .. i hate this voice .. its like i am relaxing back at sofa listening some music ... and then ur ad comes ... ur voice is hell .... painful in ears ... i know that every one can't be perfect ... but dumb minds please refine ur voice with some filters , buffers or something... and make it listenable not annoying ...
Ambanis house ,antilla looks as if he just picked up a couple of slum houses and stacked them like books, one over the other.
Brilliant as always :)

guys do you know if demand is is high then the price is low, ceteris paribus, according to Alfred Marshall in microeconomics.
Nope, you're wrong. If the price is high, then demand is low (because of demand being a dependent variable and price being an independent variable. Not vice versa.) - the exception being Giffen goods, expectations, and necessary goods.

5000$ / sq.foot? Don't you mean 5000 rupees?

No sir it's actually $5000 or close to 300000 Rs per square foot...Ambani has the most expensive home in the world..costing a billion dollars
give the slum dwellers legal rights to the little bit of land they squat on.
