Luis Díaz gave the Reds a half time lead but United struck back through Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, with the Reds grateful for Mohamed Salah's late penalty as they rescued a point from a game they could and should have won. - Спорт

It's strange how even with an almost completely different front line the problems of old Liverpool still exist. All our forwards seem to need 10 shots before converting one. The opposition needs just one. It's infuriating.

The front 3 constantly look like they’re never played with each other. Final passes always rushed, played behind players or just an awful ball. Don’t pass when they should.

Saw a stat last night that stated that in the 3 games against Utd this season, Liverpool have had 87 shots, 5 goals, and 0 wins!! Those sorts of stats are a damning indictment of forwards who are just basically not clinical enough. 1 goal per 17 shots!!🤬 Can you imagine what a Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres, or Suarez would manage with those amount of chances?!
Thanks for the coverage Neil...my God I hope this does not cost us the league. I love this team, but I'm also sick to death of watching the naive, wasteful, & lack of clinical play in so many situations. United are Everton level...F them both.

Between the VVD red card offense not being checked by VAR and Sheffield goalkeeper mistake, and McAttee missing a open goal.
Liverpool have not looked sharp or ready in any of the last 6 games. Almost forgot the Forest last secknd goal which was a robbery.

This is nothing new in big games…..look at the UCL Final vs Madrid in 2022.
We dominated the match on chances, shots and all stats apart from the most important one of all which is goals.
This is the Klopp era….some great times but also many memories of what might have been.

Maybe the new manager will want a proper striker. Klopp gas always preferred wingers as our main threat.
We are the most unclinical we have ever been. In the first or second minute of the second half, Nunez had a shot from the wing, WTF was that? Szob had the first 3 shots of the match, he should have realised after the second it was not his day for worldies.
Our attackers have not been clinical all season. We're underperforming our league leading open play XG. Really need Trent and Jota back this week

Great reflection, Neil; I can totally relate to the disappointment. I was numbed, staring at the telly, thinking what ifs. As you said, we surrender the top spot, but we know deep inside Old Trafford won't be easy. Thank you for mentioning Quansah. Some fans are having a GO at him. He was not the only guilty party yesterday; all our forwards just could not finish the game, and the stats prove that.
But Klopp was completely wrong to start Konate against Sheffield and Quansah today. I respect Quansah a lot but you can't compare him with Konate
Have to disagree. This was more painful than the cup exit for me. We are still “fighting for this title” to quote a former Liverpool player, but now technically out of our hands.

Harvey really now has come of age. Always had a doubt about him, which is totally unfair considering his age but now he surely must be in the team from the start against Palace.
Unfortunately at this moment we have to many players who are not playing well and when you need big results like today that's when it tells
It’s complacent by Liverpool. Man Utd can’t be held as a straightforward game. They need to be shown respect and it’s that complacency that’s cost us yet again.
We had to win that game. Liverpool won't win the title now. Can't keep playing teams off the park but not score enough to kill the game it will come back to bite you in the arse, which it has. Utd are a piss poor team and we still couldn't beat them, that doesn't win you league titles. Despite that this team compared to last season is a giant improvement and hopefully the next manager can carry on the progress.
It was a real trial watching was that and the more it went on the more you kinda got the feeling that it was another one of THOSE!!

Just cannot keep clean sheets first and foremost,which is always platform to go on and win football matches and end product,final pass and finishing was woeful.We were masters of our own downfall I’m afraid,more twists and turns to come let’s hope City and Arsenal suffer most,but both are pretty much machines at the moment.So pleased Jota is close to return because we so need him.
We’ve only had 14 clean sheets in 49 games this season. Arsenal 19 in 43 games. City 15 in 48 games.
For once we don't have ref or var to blame. Totally totally dominant so many chances. Even United goal there wasn't 1 united player in our half he had no option but to shoot

Just seen a shocking stat on X, showing just who Nunez has scored against in the league this season, almost all of them are both half sides, he rarely turns up against the better sides apart from Newcastle. His only contribution yesterday was the flick on for Diaz's goal, apart from that, he was awful. Every time he got involved in an attack, it broke down.
It feels bad ATM especially after missing all the chances, but we nearly lost the game so I'll take the point ynwa hope we can smash crystal palace ynwa believers

You cannot win a title when you have periods in a game, even against poor opposition like Sheffield and Man U, where you lose complete control.

Salah was all over the place and wasteful. Dom was so sloppy. Quansa can't be blamed for a rookie mistake. Elliott, Mac Allister and Endo really turned up but it wasn't enough. We should have buried them. Bloody Utd.

Out of the 3 liverpool arsenla and city, liverpool have shown their colours today..their weakness has been the front 3. Klopp said the winners will deserve. Thus far, from the chances we had we dont deserve it
Didn't deserve to beat the worst Utd team in decades in any of the 3 games. 0 wins from 3. 6 goals conceded in 2 games. Possession and chances mean nothing, what does matter is scoring more than the opposition. All I see in comment sections for this game is focus on the wastefulness of our front line, barely anyone has mentioned the leaky defence. If you have the ability to keep a clean sheet you only need to score 1 goal.
Will be an interesting run in as I see all teams dropping more points, possibly bar Man City.

We complicate everything too much too many times. Shooting is simple. Get a good contact and get it on target. We rarely do that. We too often beat ourselves rather than the other team doing it. That macallister pass to salah seems so long ago.
Two featues in our game this season which we can't seem to correct. Slow starts to games and not disposing of inferior teams especially away.
