I’m so grateful to have the mom I have that always spent quality time with me that I have such fond memories of movies like this and music so bright like smash mouth! She’s turning 50 this year and I’m thinking to myself that time flies and we should cherish every moment with our loved ones man. He was so close to her age. It’s like this could have been my mom that died! Thank you for the great memories Steve! You will be greatly missed by many!

A great ending to a great movie. I actually wished Merrill said something nice about her mother too that the race brought them closer or something along the lines.
A recent history reminded me this. A man wanted to donate 1.5k but accidentally donated 15k, and he couldn't cancel it for two days. Meanwhile, the hungry children in the community that the NGO was going to help started to send him messages of love and gratitude. I wouldn't have had the guts to cancel it. He managed to turn the situation. He cancelled the 15k, but organized an event that went viral because of his story, and they ended up gathering much more than 15k, so at the end everyone was happy. Wait. That is almost what happened in the movie too.
