I have become convinced that Mr. Massey was the finest actor to appear as a regular character in a prime time series. Dr. Gillespie was amazing; a tour de force unlike anything else. Bravo.
His performances in Lincoln and God is my Co-Pilot were great. I remember going over and over in the war years in 194?? to see God is my Co-Pilot. I wish I could see it again. Carl
My favorite Massey performance was in Arsenic & Old Lace. With Lorre as a sidekick, it makes the movie. And I'm sure Massey was much better than Karloff could ever have been in the role-- Karloff would have done the movie but he was doing the stage version at the time and couldn't get away. Karloff is ok, but he's no Raymond Massey.

Indeed, Raymond Massey was a superb actor on stage and on screen! I always enjoy watching his performances.

A totally different kind of actor - Boris Karloff was also a good actor.
