My challenge this year is basically to read whatever is in my shelf. I have exactly 12 books (since I moved countries), and I want to get them done by this year. It is small, but with the whole moving, I don't have much money to go around haha.
Yes! I have not recently moved but have accumulated many TBR books and I want to go through what I already have rather than get new stuff. Same with my hobbies- work through the yarn I have instead of continually buying more...
I’m doing the Agatha Christie Challenge this year….. 12 books over the year….. different decades….. and my goals are to read all my TBR (about 30) and then see what develops from there 😊
@@GinaLuciaReads Buzzword challenge is BooksandLaLa’s (Booktube) challenge. Each month has a buzzword and you read books that have a title that fits that buzzword.
The only challenge I have set so far is to read 50 books. Last year I set the challenge to read 40, and achieved 62. This year will be a LOT busier for me than last year. Let's see how I go. Also, I'm not sure what an indie author is. I hope it doesn't mean self-published because I've only ever been disappointed with those - the spelling, grammar, punctuation and wrong-word usage I find too distracting.
It does mean self-published or published by an independent source like a very small publisher. I've found quite a few excellent self-published books but I can understand how it feels like a risk, especially if you've had bad experiences
Are you starting any reading challenges in 2024?
Not starting, but continuing my personal challenges of reading series, authors and rereading
@@arobinreads we're in that together for sure. Although not so much the re-reads. That might be one for next year!

I love the sound of that because I'm trying to do the same thing. Along with making my way through my series books 💪
I love that! I moved countries in 2022 and I definitely understand the feeling. You can do it!

This year I am planning to buy a few pre-loved books.

Oh that sounds so fun! What a good idea
I am doing the Buzzword challenge and Booklist Queen’s 52 books challenge. I am also considering BookMama’s Reading Is Fun challenge.
I've not heard of any of them!! I presume the latter two are booktubers? What's the Buzzword challenge?
