This book is a gem. You miss the characters when it ends, it's like saying goodbye to old friends one last time. Side note : I recommend anyone who liked Pachinko read The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See, it's set on Jeju Island (where Hansu is from) in a similar time period and is an absolutely beautiful book.
I just finished Pachinko and it was a fascinating reading experience. I definitely learnt alot as well. To me, Sunja's character is so important and presented in a humane, but loving way
Totally true that coming from a family of immigrants and then immigrating to another country is exactly where the question comes on where is hometown...... and that is where the desire to go back and investigate the origin of the where u really come from....interesting interview....the 2 of them very intelligent women and Dua is increasingly comfortable with their interviews...I enjoy and learn a lot from them....keep up the good work service95 team...🥰🥰
what a great follow-up interview! when I was younger I read all the time. then I fell out of the habit. thanks to Dua and Service 95, my habit has returned! obrigada! 👍❤️
I am happy u "kept at it" & gave us such an amazing story. No matter what culture/race we are from, we seen to want something different, we spend so much time thinking of the dead, we forget to live, love & laugh...☮💕
Te quiero mucho dua lipa!. Con estos vídeos estoy practicando mi inglés, el ver tu movimiento de labios me ayuda mucho!! , por favor no dejes de hacer este tipo de entrevistas❤!!
Such an inspiring video, I absolutely adore the history behind Min's work of art in which I put a lot of interest. And Waow, I love how Dua pushes herself in these exclusive projects with her envy to discover, as I would love to do ! I've learned loads from these podcasts and thanks to the crew
Why do I noticed that most readers who have love this novel are woman? Even in the comments section here i see mostly girls. I am a guy and for a very long time I avoided reading novels caused my friends would always say that's a "girl thing to do" even my dad said it sometimes "you should go out and play football not read novels like sissy" thinking back even back then when I was a 14 years old I always love reading novels. I was introduced to Pachinko from the Kdrama I absolutely love it and I just bought Pachinko recently and I am loving it.
I';m making a model of the HM Endeavour exploration ship of Captain James Cook by thinly slicing up old fence palings. As I was making the hull I realized that I could make my own Mandolin using the same method. I've already made a Ukelele using fence palings. It sounds okay but I have to use a pickup. People are starting to lose their measure;)
