Remo Powerstroke P77 Review

- Hello! I've been using the (not so) new Remo Powerstroke P77 head off and on for a while now and wanted to give some thoughts and impressions for those of you who might be interested in trying it out. What do you think of this head?
The demo, by the way, is recorded using a single overhead mic with very minimal processing.

This is really helpful. Thanks for your objectivity and sincerity man.
Glad it was helpful!
ya its a crispy sounding head.. considering its so thick it has really good sensitivity .. basically ambassador level...the thickness seems to make the ghost notes...thicker..
Great demo thanks Cole!
Awesome video! Thanks!
brilliant review! always coming back. must try! tnx C!
Thx for this video!!! I was wondering were my sound went from my snare but but now i hear this it makes sense.
Still the sound is amazing with a very high sharp snare tune i have
Great video man
Nice head. Takes that bringing and ringing out without using moon gels etc.
Thanks So much
Really great work!
Thanks Christian!
I get it. Great vid.
I’ve had this head, I wouldn’t bother getting it again. I like to crank it on the tuning so for those like myself who still want the durability, go for the controlled sound instead of this one. Nice video too one of the best demos of this head👍
just bought the remo x14 and now want to get this instead.
its like a diplomat but for heavy hitters!
I wonder if the clear variety of this sounds more open/resonant. I'm thinking of getting the new colortone series with the matching p77 snare.
If nothing else the smoke ones look awesome on snares!
Love the sound I'm buying one for each snare.i have 12 snare drums.
How does this Remo Head compare to Evans HD Dry ? On a DW Design Series Nickel over Brass 14 X 6.5 Snare?
Does the coated version make Andy difference in sound?
Like vs. the smoke version?
@@ColeParamore yes
@@dustin_sjc You know I've never tried the Colortone one. I'd imagine there is at least a small difference, but I think the fact that you've got all that dampening built into the head would probably make it harder to detect. I'd guess the Colortone would be a bit brighter. I think Thomas Pridgen was using one for a while.
What is the name of the song that is being played
In the description. Thanks for watching!
What snare drum is this?
Dunnett 2n Aluminum
Tienes que procurar siempre de pegarle al centro del parche para que suene bien
Dont even mention Evan's heads when talking about remo
What’s the issue?
Evens are better right off the bat
