- John Tagley on a CHOLO ROAD KING in the making completed the 24 hour challenge which is a solo race against the clock to complete as many miles as possible. This bike crushed the 1000 mile mark in only 14.5 hours and finished at 1628.6 miles in exactly 24 hours.

1600 miles in 24 hrs damn man this is something. I cant watch enough of your channel 😂
Dude just did a bun burner 1500 in 24 hrs
Nuts
The iron but association gives 36 hrs for 1500
i bought a set of wheels for it from DNA because of you , had to wait a little while for them ,told them all about you and they said they were going to watch your videos. i told them the only reason i bought the wheels were because of you. you should be a movie producer , your videos are so professional , you are the man
Dude, you literally could have made a video just about that chip bag, drop some cool back beat and wicked editing and it would still be an epic upload. You got a gift man. I know it takes alot to film, edit and upload videos but damn dude, we appreciate what you do. Ride safe homie.💯🤙🏽
Respect John. Ghis is what riding a bike is about. Together with your other videos you give a complete picture of what riding a Harley is about. Keep it up bro.
Thanks for the kind words. I truly love bikes. Always have, even as a little kid I rode my bicycle everywhere. I appreciate the support bro, more to come
I just saw this and I really enjoyed the whole ride! Great job!
Crushed it man! Much respect, love the content like always
Thanks bro, I appreciate the support
Wow!! Much respect and to say you are courageous. 👏👍
Outstanding!
I think you are the one of the best youtubers right there 🤙always enjoyed watching your video 👌😎 Big Thanks for that!!!! Ride safe mate!!!! In Scotland we don’t have to wait long for rain🤣
Love it!!! What a blast.
Awesome video ! Congrats on that achievement 👍
Really Happy to find your channel!! Good job!
Thanks, and welcome!
Awesome!!!
Great Video, Every time!!
Awesome video John keep up the amazing content and congrats on the big milestone
Thank you, can't wait to try it again
@@JETFILMCHANNEL Spokes. Whitewalls. Fishtails. It just doesn’t get any better IMO… Gotta love a Road King! What did that cafe shown at the end start life as? I really like that paint job!
Well said! The Cafe started it's life as a 1975 Honda cb750. I call it "the pig", ultra loud, ultra slow, jockey shift, carb adjustments at stop lights, but interesting to ride.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL Awesome! Any chance the Pig could get its own video? My first motorcycle was a 1972 CB750K. It has an obnoxious, wide-open 4into1 exhaust on it. Redline never sounded so good, lol… I recently acquired my 2nd bike: a cobalt blue 2006 Road King. 🏍💨
Nice. Now let’s see that cafe racer you got back there.
Yeah svartpilen vs cafe let's gooo
Can I have a 10 sec head svart?
@@JETFILMCHANNEL lol you have 8. In all seriousness I picked up a 99” fat boy last month traveled 500 miles to get it, mainly because my desire was fueled by your softail.
Great video and ride
Yess!!! Finally 🔥🔥🔥
It's an absolute pleasure to watch your adventures. That was a helluva trip you made and Congrats on making it. That bike is a beast for sure. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Dave, I put a lot of effort into the making of these films so I really appreciate the support.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL , it shows the effort you put in. Your video's are some of the best I've seen. Alot better than alot of movies I've watched. You keep doing what you're doing and they will come. I appreciate you.
I love 81....B E A U -Tiful.
.10thMtn. Climb to Glory
Awesome John ! Loved the dorito story and your road fix. It's amazing how the subconscious mind can sometimes just react spontaneously and leave you in awe. Another great piece of American muscle entertainment 💪.
Great vid thanks
Great job 👍..Wow I never thought that the gas mileage would be so bad..I get around 240 miles out of a tank..but now might be an excuse to put a Baker transmission in it.. can't wait to see that installation..😂. But really great job..
Excelente video amigo, te sigo desde Argentina, tengo una moto igual a la tuya, un Road King Classic. Well done dude 👏👏
Your vids are top notch
Thanks brother, I appreciate the support
Had to be an awesome experience!!! Cool
So awesome that I want to do it again and try to best my personal record
@@JETFILMCHANNEL you can do it!!! That RK had to be comfortable
John, love the content you create! the Cholo and the Cholo King are F#$%ing BAD A$$ bike. But to be honest, I love the production stile of your video's!!!! Shots are top notch the flow is super smooth and immersive, the the music you pic is killer. I used to live in Ossining NY by the train station, live in PA now and you a 100% on point about rt81. ok enough fan boying lol keep the vids come man.
Thanks dude, I appreciate the love
Awesome
I ride a Vicla and love it! I just started a new project a 1972 Yamaha XS650. My cafe project. You should do a video on your cafe racer. I need inspiration. Thanks!!
WOW. From the look on your face at the 1000 mile mark in this video, looked like the ride on the Road King was much easier that when you did Iron Butt on the Softail.
Yes, night and day. The road king's ergonomics just allow the rider to ride more miles, plain and simple. If the gear ratio was a little taller, and speed limits and traffic weren't an issue then a 2000 mile day would be a real possibility on this bike
Wow, that's Bad Ass, jod well done !!
Love you videos I live just a little west of Knoxville. You would love riding in east Tennessee
Thanks man, cruised through there about a year ago when I did the non-stop 24hr challenge. Made a film on it. Maybe your house is in it.
Sounds like a fun challenge. I'd like to try but I'm coming from the opposite coast. 🤙
1600 miles in 24 hrs is tough. I know the ride was amazing. I have family in Ky it is a nice state to drive through.
I hope i get to ride with one day killed it bro!!!
Your videos are awesome
Thank you, more on the way
Not far from my neck of the woods, I live in Sandusky, Ohio. Cool video!
Thanks, you probably got hit with that rain as well then. Never been to Ohio before this trip but I was impressed, it's a cool state.
Good stuff my man! Subscribing now!
Thank you and welcome
Another great film, you certainly crushed out the miles on that ride! Keep up the great work, when will your next episode on the road king build be coming out? I could see a few additions, but only a quick look!
Thanks dude. I hit a snag on the King which is why I did the latest film on the softail. But work has resumed on the king, just sorting out a couple of small bugs and then film production will start right away.
My 3rd time watching this video John, and today again for motivation. I am planning a "double iron" about 1000 miles each way to Deadwood from our house, 2 days of driving, maybe 18 hours to recover, sleep, eat once there. I am torn between taking my 2018 Steet bob stage 2 with about 4k miles on it, not set up for long haul, tombstone windshield, HD Springer seat, (reliability tho) and our own Cholo 05 Road King, 70k miles but runs like a top. I'd love to send you pics of both, long time fan. Maybe let me know your thoughts. Thank you as always for World Class material, production, content. Still waiting for JET gear!
-Russ
So you were mentioned in the cycle fanatic video, he just bought a road King will have it re-furbished and will give it away in April 2022. He’s not going to do any work on the bike whom ever he can get to help him. He couldn’t change a tire let alone change a flat!
Man I'm close to knoxville. Should have stayed the night and went to deals gap nc
You are a Savage, well done.
Hahaha thanks man
Thought we were getting a road king cholo build mate, looking forward to it
Takes time my man and a $hit load of money, and that's when things are going well.
Hurry up and put another damn video out, good entertainment
nice.....
I just rode out to San Diego. From my house it’s about a 5 hour ride and even that was tough for me lol.
earlier today i was just telling my Buddy Bry the biker "i think i'm going to cut back on the frequency and work more on the type of videos i want to do"
He says "You gotta check out JET FILM, with dots between JET, like J.E.T. he's doing what i think you want to do..."
Sure enough...Subb'd can't wait to binge watch your channel man, love the quality and the riding in this video, just my style 🤙🏻
Thanks man, and welcome! I always love to see newcomers introduce themselves and hear about how they found the channel.
On average I'll finish about 1 film per month. And you're in luck because I'm on track to release my latest one later today.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL can't wait, i noticed the patch on your jacket, is that an IBA certification?
Nah haha that's just a work jacket.
Hahaha 100 mile runs sounds fun. Some real self regulation and needed rest
🤘
You would have to check with a dealership but Harley use to offer their 6 speed transmission as a PNA kit. Or go aftermarket.
First one here!!!!! I was waiting for the next episode
Thanks Ray!
Nice video...where did you got the batwing?
Another great vid. I have an 88TC B 2002, Just completed stage one 2into1 Cobra and stage 2 SS 510 cam. Seems to have woke up the 88. Are you going to do a big bore on your 88 TC? I hear because of the shorter stroke the 88TC can turn into a real of the line beast. Now I must say I am 61 years old soon to be 62 but I still love a scoot with some kick. Thanks for the vids.
nice shot of cleveland im 5 mins from progressive fields
Nice, so must have recognized those shots right away. My first time in Ohio. Got to say I was impressed with it's cities and highway smoothness
That fuel mileage was a real downer I’m sure. The Brent Spence Bridge was the one you crossed from Ohio to Kentucky.
It def slowed things down a bit. 15-16 fuel-ups
hey man. enjoyable as always. can you put a link for that awesome helmet?
Thanks man, here you go www.chromeburner.com/roof-boxer-v8-full-black-modular-helmet
@@JETFILMCHANNEL all the best. keep doing what you doing
Hello how are you another guy on UA-cam just bought a 2001Road King and not him but he going to turn it into CHOLO then raffle it off in April of 2022! You were mentioned on his video comments. So don’t be surprised if you get a call from him! Cycle-Fanatic! You do your own work I don’t believe he has the talent to build the bike but I’m sure he has the money! You have talent, but keep the video coming!
Thanks man, yeah I saw that. He's a good dude and we've spoken since he got it.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL I had an opportunity to buy a 2001 R/K it had 750 miles but I had just bought a 2019 R/K he wanted $11,000.00 I went to his job with $8000.00 and he said no. Can’t win them all but as I have said before keep your videos coming!
Ouch, at least you have the 2019. That's a beautiful bike. Got a big video coming hopefully tomorrow night, I've been into it for over a month now
@@JETFILMCHANNEL I got ride of the 2019 R/K I’ve had 27 situations with crooks and picking up 900 lb. Is not easy with 4 knee operations, so this summer their was a Law Enforcement convention in Dallas and 25 of us retired cops rode to Dallas and I got rid of the bike and bought a 2021 Harley-Davidson Trike. The dealer wanted to know if my bike was ever in the rain because it was so clean! I clean my bike before and after I ride! The Trike is safer for my wife and I, it wasn’t easy getting use to how to ride the trike.
The hard part is you can’t take your feet off the floor boards and you don’t counter balance it. I’ve put Legend shock’s front and rear General Dynamic Brake lights and I’ve got other things I’ve ordered for the bike but they haven’t come in yet, my friend put a back up camera on his and Harley-Davidson puts rear back up light on the Trikes the sell in Asian Countries.
I got rid of the 2019 R/K!
Need your advice. I’ve got a 2012 Road King!!! Want loud pipes with shark fins. What headers and pipes to you recommend?????
If maximum loudness is a priority then a true dual is most likely what you'll want. My '13 softail has the Samson true dual headers with steady custom cycles fishtail pipes. It's a deafening combination.
IBA also usually wants receipts too
I take it this is for the saddle sore 1000?
1st thing you change on a Hog is the Stick Shifter….
Looks like a lot of fun, I wish were there. You should check to see if you broke the record for how much fuel can be used with a H-D in 24 hours. Was that 15 gas stops within 24 hours?
Hahaha yeah, those injectors were working overtime that day. It was 15 or 16 fuel stops.
One station in particular, in a very remote part of West New York was an old no-name station with pumps from the 60's and gas that just smelled... different, more pure (probably non-ethenol and minimal additives). I could have sworn the bike rode better on this gas and got better mileage than modern gas stations.
Hello John
I have an 08 roadking
Can you tell me the type and brand fairing is on your bike ?and is it easy to take off and on?
I don't actually know the brand believe it or not. It came with the bike when I bought it. But I can say that it easy to take off. Just loosen the 4 bolts that hold your aux lights
Don't take 81 North 🤣 truer words have never been spoken 👌
Got the chikla pipes installed n header pipes from Samson. Samson sent a bent shifter rod for the rear header pipe. Wondering if a custom shifter rod would fit because it wouldn't have that bent. Let me know
My softail has the bent shifter rod as well. Has to be bent to skirt around the rear cylinder crossover pipe. I wouldn't fight it, just use it and save the headaches for other projects around the bike. I had mine powdercoated, and I dressed it up as nicely as I could.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL Is this common with the Softail deluxe? Because I saw a video on a heritage Softail n they used the stock one .
@@JETFILMCHANNEL Can you send a pic
In this video your shifter rod came undone. Where would we get another bent rod? Call Samson?
You made standard The Bun Burner Gold is a motorcycle ride in which you must ride 1,500 miles in less than 24 hours
Those big cams sounds good but fuel mileage suck if you plan on riding long trip been there done that
How often did you take breaks?
Every 100miles. Fuel up, take a sip of water, bathroom, and back on the road
@@JETFILMCHANNEL nice pace..! Myself, or wife and I the same, to even stretch a bit, keep that stiffness away. Excellent work on that grind!
What seat are you running?
It's it a custom made solo by C&C seats. I'll have it featured in an upcoming film.
That’s quit a few miles for a 24 hour push when is build #2 coming on the King
The King build has already begun, the first mods video was released about 3 weeks ago. Wheels video is next
There is an international association of motorcycle travelers, which has an iron butt standard. The simplest category is 1000 miles per day. You passed a tougher one, but they have their own accounting rules
Yeah, I've seen the website and the categories. I wasn't looking for an IBA certification though. I think my validation method was good enough to ensure viewers believe that what I'm claiming is true.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL
I am more than sure that the audience does not even doubt your honesty. I remembered about the IBA only because you fulfilled one of the most difficult standards, without even trying to do it. And such work, I am sure, can be noted. However, I do not know how many motorcyclists in the United States know about the IBA. At one time it was very fashionable in Russia to pass these standards. There are even people who performed them in winter during snowfalls, driving motorcycles with sidecars
Sweet video work bro, I have an opportunity to pick up a 04 road king Classic what do you think?
04 king is a great bike, just need to be aware of the cam chain tensioner. Ask the owner if he replaced or converted it, they can get iffy around 20k miles. Other than that it's a pretty bulletproof bike.
I beat the hell out of my 2002 for my latest video and the bike took it like a champ
@@JETFILMCHANNEL Thanks for the info, looking forward to the next video!
Dang 100 miles per tank, she thirsty!
Really thirsty. 5 speed trans + batwing at those speeds she needed a lot of throttle. And I suspect my tune needs to be adjusted a little
Way to go bro👏Legend!🙌Now imagine doin that with Calini Bars😳😂Good to see the bike is running good aye!🧐put some low wide beach bars on it since the Cholo has the high bars,🤔then you’ll have one up n one down😏That way you gotta choice depending on what sorta miles you going to be doing on your next trip👌Great vid and take care over there mate😎
Awesome fucking video man, what’s the first song on the intro called?
CB 750 in the corner? 🤔
Good eye. 1975

81 north really sucks
Ugh, I feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about it.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL I love your softail by the way. I’ll be getting my own for this summer thanks for the great content and keep it going man.
Thanks bro, another round of mods for the softail happening now. Lots of films to come
