I love it, you kill it every time a true fishermen you keep me going out there again and again even after getting skunked multiple times. Thank you Mr Gene.
Looks like they’re getting ready mean gene. I don’t understand how anyone could give you a thumbs down. Maybe the green eyed monster has hold of them! Keep them coming big guy.
I never understood that. i have seen very good fishing videos on youtube with thumbs down and never understood why. I just love to entertain! Thanks for watching my friend!!
Been busy it's been awhile since I've seen some of your videos but you're doing good the ones I've been watching your the crappie King man keep up the good work Richard I love it it's awesome
Richard, Years ago I fished with man who was like a second father. When we crappie fished it was with a cane pole with minnows below a slip float in creeks, Indian, Hardin, Turnbow and Stewman's to be specific. Haven't crappie fished in a long time. But I'm gonna give jigging a try this year. I remember how good those Tennessee River slabs taste. Enjoy watching you and Elmer.
Thank you for the video Richard Gene.Them were some nice big slabs My Granddad is the person that gave me my first fishing lesson back when I was 5. He told me to catch fish you have to think like a fish. Someone wise like that must have gave you the same fishing lesson's. Keep up the good work
Way to go Richard! Went yesterday fishing w/some friends, we got 24 fish....I got the only crappie and we had 23 bass. The surface temp was 58 to start off with and was 61 at 1pm. That was at Lake Hartwell in GA. Had a blast man! Keep up your great work as well!
Ole Elmer is so lucky to have a friend like you making sure he has fish to eat lol. Awesome video Mr Gene, going fishing next weekend and there will be some bobby garland 1/32 in the boat.
Holy Moly there Richard Gene, you catching 11 and 12 inchers one right after the other. And catching them casting to boot. i never see you get hung up. Great job of catching for sure.
Therapeutic. I read the definition. Relating to the healing. Been an advent fishermen all my live. I lost that urge when I become ill. I am getting better. All the treatments are working well and on the road to recovery. Thanks to you cause. Watching your video's kept me remembering how fishing soothe the sole.
Coming back to guntersville the last week of March so the fishing might be slow for you that week Elmo. Been fishing guntersville scene the early 90s and we love it !
Really enjoying your videos. I’m a little older than you and growing up in Huntsville in the 60’s as a teenager I spent most weekends on Guntersville fishing. I remember stopping to buy minnows on 431 and they were 6 dozen for a dollar. The lady would scoop in there and give as least 12 dozen. Gas was 25 cents a gallon and life was good. The limit on crappie was 50 per person. Usually my brother and I and a buddy would limit out. I ended up marrying one of them pretty Guntersville girls. She was a Derrick. Do you know any of them Derrick’s? Don’t let your hook get dry. 👍🏻
I love watching your show. Plus you are so funny. I use to fish a lot years ago and have started again.I have gone five times this late summer and early fall but I can't even get a bite. I hope I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. You should come to Washington state and fish. I would love to go with you👍
I love your T-shirt and I love to go fishin when I can cause it's good fer ya, woo woo . You can bring one of those T-shirt with you when you come to Washington State and go fishing with me :)
Hello Mr. Richard, them pinto beans are sure tasty refried in a little bit of lard. They go well with just about anything, pork beef chicken and even fish. Hey whats the fish got in its mouf! lol
Another good video my friend. I believe you have foundered ol Elmo from all thoes free crappie. He needs to clip thoes things and go fishing cause it's goooooood feeer ya.
Great videos Richard& Elmo, I have just got my wife started in crappie fishing and she really enjoys it at Lake Talquin Fl. We are looking to take a trip to Lake Guntersville and try it any recommendations to start in for mid March?
Another great one. Thanks. It's tough getting a question to you before a million viewers jump on...a nice problem to have! I have a couple I've tried to ask before: 1. You always use a single jig. Lots of crappie fishermen use double jigs - Obviously you prefer single jigs....why? 2. In some videos you use a small bobber. In other videos you use a slip bobber. Which do you prefer? 3. I loved the video where you tipped a jig with a minnow. Does it work with a Bobby Garland style plastic or is it better with a marabou style jig? Instead of a flu shot this year, I just go fishin' when I can. Ain't been sick for a second....cause it's good fer me! Keep em comin"
1. I just think its more sporty, one on one. Also i can control my bait better. I enjoy fishing mainly for the sport of it. 2. I like both bobbers, I change depending on the given situation. 3. It's best to use short jigs like, a hallflye, or a Mr.Crappie jig. I think you would be better off with a marabou. The hook up ratio will be better. Thank you so much for watching CornerS4!!
Richard thanks for the videos. So when you go out do you search with your fish finder first and do you look for brush piles or how do you locate the fish. Thanks!
Great video Richard. You must have had that spot picked out from the start since you anchored right up? Also did you just use the cork set up to find the first fish then go to the rig without it? Any reason you didn't stick with the cork set up? Just trying to learn a little cause it's good fer ya! Keep em coming!
Thank you jb!! I just mix it up all during the day. I get bored fishing one particular way. I located this spot based on the bait fish i found on my depth finder. Thank you for watching my friend!!
Nice slabs. Looked like a great day. Nice video!! Spring is coming however we have over 2 feet of ice yet here in MN 😂 but still catching Crappies. Check out our last couple videos of you get a chance.
