Any recovering addict that's happy, healthy and no longer shaming themselves for their nature is a big win. Well done Matthew.
He is speaking and looking wayyyyy better than he did at the Friends reunion and even the interview he did. Great for him!
He did not disappear after Friends, like some people are saying. He has probably been the most active of all six cast members since the show ended. Studio 60, Mr. Sunshine, Go On, and The Odd Couple are shows he starred in since Friends. None of them lasted more than a season or two, but he's stayed busy and working while going through his personal hell.

You never know what people are going through.
I really have not but the deepest admiration for this man,I knew that he had been battling addiction when he was on Friends ,but I had no idea how his bad it had become,GOOD FOR HIM .
This is such an important message. Addiction doesn’t discriminate. Neither does cancer. High time we destigmatise the former and support recovery as we do from the latter. ❤
"Oh, he's rich. He's selling a book. Why should we feel sorry for him?" He's not asking anyone to feel sorry for him, and nobody is being forced to buy his book. He's sharing a powerful story of recovery, which will hopefully inspire others. You don't always have to find the negative and cynical in everything.
Can express how amazing it is that Matthew is alive and sober and willing to humble himself to help others. If you are someone with intimate experience with alcoholism and addiction then you get it . Boy do I love this guy!
Sharing is part of the healing and recovery process. Matt is beloved by millions and has brought us all immense laughter. He has a big megaphone and he will help others with his book. Wishing him much health, peace and happiness on this recovery journey 1 step at a time.

Were stronger than we think aren’t we . I can relate in another way, and I’ve overcome a lot . I always loved Matthew Perry. He reminded me of one of my first boyfriends in middle school. It was before he was famous and he did a few movies. I hope he has really great people surrounding him that truly love him and continue to help him. Sending him love and support!
