Now that I've "seen them all" in the world of trash trucks, the thing I enjoy most above all else at this point is how operators hands move while doing their job. When I was on the ride along with Zach, I marveled at his musician like technique at manipulating the bunny ears. George is definitely showing his experience here, like watching a professional bassoonist at work. Fantastic!
Damn..... Certainly a "Trashman242" worthy video. George knows he's a g, so I won't stroke his ego too much here lmao. I'm almost surprised nobody's mentioned the random dude doing double takes at you hahahaah perfect intro shot. The aesthetics of this truck alone are sick, but seeing it dump some random one-off and bottom-slot dumpsters certainly make it that much cooler. Phenomenal job with the clip @ 3:50, such a cool view we don't see enough of. Backing out of 5:15 seems like a royal pain in the ass especially into LA traffic. Can't not mention the shot at 7:20, love those views. The Gomez/Maxon packer design seems to do a pretty good job, eh? Second to last shot with the hill was legit too. Love the fade out with George riding that car's ass too lmao. So LA commercial recycling = cardboard + random trash, got it. 12/10 super solid video paired with an equally solid driver.
Agree, his ego needs no more stroking. The video speaks for itself on that. Thanks - yeah I didn't like that double-taking pedestrian at first but it's sorta made me grin every time I've watched it since, so I kept it in. And the enthusiasm shown by the driver was hard to pass up. Thanks, I'm thinking the packer on this truck is about 6" shorter than an original Maxon packer would be, but still it does a good job. Much better than IGS from what I hear. For the record, the car was in a different lane so no asses were ridden in this video. And you're about right on the composition of LA recycling, the place sucks a lot more than I would've thought at the recycling thing. Way to go, Democrats. Thanks again for another fruitful comment :)
You certainly got some very creative angles in your shots which made the video even more enjoyable aside from the fact of how entertaining this truck/driver duo was. George sure knows how to finesse Maxine especially when it comes to dumping them loads in her. But in all seriousness - what a talented operator. Knows his route well and is probably one of the most efficient drivers UWS has. Thanks for sharing this footage! Oh and George if you're reading this - put on some gloves, damnit.
These UWS guys never disappoint, that was awesome! Been wondering how George ran Maxine so I'm glad you got some video. Amazing shots too, you never fail to get a nice variety of angles that all turn out really well. One thing's for sure, I envy the truck George drives but I do not envy the traffic lol. Great job to the both of you!
Honestly, one of your best videos! I really like they way the look of the truck pairs with the rest of Chinatown. I had been feigning for a video of Maxine ever since George flaunted her on Instagram. This video sure does her justice! I also like how UWS is more or less Mack Based, with a lot of their newer rucks being Mack, as opposed to the new Pete's and ACX's everyone is going to. Your shots in this were STELLAR. Some of my favorites had to be one focusing on the outside controls and the one with him pulling up and lifting the dumpster over the parking bock. Not to mention the packer shot with the ultra-cool rear-load conversion. (Gave be some flashbacks to George's MR Amrep video lol!) The whole video is a solid mass comprised of good shots. a good truck, and a good operator. My hat goes off to George and you for both making this possible. Once again, great video, I really enjoyed it!
Wow thanks Will. Oh don't worry, UWS has plenty of Paccar crap now in addition to Macks and Autocars, but it is sort of interesting to see the LR and MRU holding a bit of a presence in SoCal. So glad to hear this one made the cut, I tried to only use my best clips from that morning. Thanks for the praise~
I would agree with that. They're helping keep the 21st Century micro-builders (IGS, FF Gomez) alive and well. Now if we could just get them to buy some CWS square bodies....
Would he want to trade to a Fontaine/G-S Recycler? I'm waiting for my shot at commercial FL, however the ba king and power lines are giving me anxiety, plus with a backing accident a few weeks back I'm still a bit on edge. I'll be ready and confident to move up and join you "big dogs" soon enough!
Backing accident? What'd you hit? Other than that I hope things are going well and you enjoy being in a recycler for the time being. Commercial is probably the one route type more prone to accidents than anything else, and that can make it very challenging. Don't beat yourself up if they want you to get more experience before going into commercial. If you're driving a truck, you're already a "big dog" in my book ;)
@@Trashman242 A car. I'm still enjoying it though! I've had the opportunity to go elsewhere and get into other trucks but I've turned them down since I'm pretty happy with my current routes. Waiting on our new batch of Curottos to come in and see if I can hop into one of those.
Very good work. I love all of UWSs unique front loaders. Pretty decent sound for a CNG I must say. Also cool to see the infamous George at work. What does George drive now? Keep up the great work!
Oh wow that went by fast! Does this truck have auto rev on the outside controls or is George manually revving it? Rip Maxine, is it a spare now or was it given to another driver? Nice video, keep up the good work
No, there's a rev button on this truck and on most SoCal front loaders with outside controls. She's driven by another employee last that I heard. Thanks Daniel
What a beast, truck and operator. Great shots too!
Thanks Sean

Scott, amazing camera work! George, always a pleasure seeing you in action, especially with this gorgeous machine.
thanks Dejuan, one of a kind truck and operator

As far as I'm concerned Maxon nailed it with the Legal One. Everyone else can sit the fuck down

thanks Eli, I tried my best. I'm glad you liked watching it and yes, much of the credit is owed to George
Sounds surprisingly well for CNG. Very fast/smooth operation too. Great video!
Dude sick on the levers!! That Mack sounds beautiful!
Great video, loved the shots especially the hopper shot at the end!
Thanks, I wish the truck were pointed the other way but I guess shadows be shadows
Impressive! Nice to see another post from you Mr. Scott.

Thanks Aaron, there are reasons I left California and that congestion remains one of the biggest.

Loved that in cab footage! UWS has some nice trucks compared to WM or Republic. They also sound very tough and good performing.
I would agree with that. They're helping keep the 21st Century micro-builders (IGS, FF Gomez) alive and well. Now if we could just get them to buy some CWS square bodies....
God I miss her so much
What happened to her??

Last I heard he rolls around in a Mack MRU IGS front loader
Trashman242 Ah.

@@Trashman242 ahh ok, I've noticed the outside rev buttons on most older trucks, not really the new CNG Autocars.
Please I need help finding my autistic son a waste management mack side loader model please someone where can I buy one
I wouldn't do that garbage trucks will make him more autistic. I speak from experience.
