Riot Games, the company that made League, has other games on steam that explore more of the world of Runeterra (the world that these characters are from). Ruined King is a turn based RPG which I highly suggest you play if you're looking for more world building and story telling. As for League of Legends its self, unfortunately there is no character creation BUT, Necrit has released a few videos going over different stuff that might be in the upcoming Riot MMO that is theorized to come out 2025 (hopefully) so you should also check out his videos covering stuff like playable races, possible mounts, raid bosses and so on. Love that you are getting into the cinematics and if you're interested, the worlds openers/songs for the competitive scene are all also really good. Thanks for the amazing reactions!!
FYI the characters you see in the cinematic are the "Champions" that you play as in the game. there are currently 166 different champions. Each game will feature 10 total bans of champions and 10 total picks of champions (5 for each team) then you go head to head with them.
I can't wait till she sees A New Dawn. It greatly explains their abilities as well. She's gonna love Ahri. It's by far my favorite cinematic. Her and Graves are my favorite characters in League.
Really hope we have a "Lore Rabbit Hole deep dive" case here instead of a "LoL" or just an "Arcane" one, the setting of Runeterra is by far the best part about League and everytime people try to deep dive it they kinda just ignore it and go for the music and stuff, which is kinda sad
Arcane has 2 trailers if you want to take a peak before deciding to watch it. Also, this cinematic is referring to 3 stories which are linked in the original description of the video. I also want to mention that no character from this cinematic is in Arcane S1. The "Warriors" season cinematic has 2 characters shown that are in S1 of Arcane. Arcane has only a handful of characters(playable champions) involved in order to make a good story. It takes place in Zaun and Piltover. At the moment the league universe has 166 playable champions in the league univers called "Runeterra". If you are interested in having a general idea about the story of the universe and diversity of regions and environment I highly recommend to react to Necrits video "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done". This gives you a really good imression of the universe and you can see if you want to get more invested in this.
I you didn't know the RIOT MMO for this game will be coming out in couple of years. It's goona be so good considering the lore of this universe. Personally I think this game has the best lore of all time (yes better than Marvel & DC)
The thing about League of Legends is that arguably the best thing about it is the setting and the lore. Like seriously, the setting and most of the lore surrounding it from the locations, characters, etc. Is way better then it has any right to be. The game itself CAN be fun but it isn't the RPG you would hope it would be and the community can be toxic to beginners. So if you really want to play League of Legends, then I would recommend doing some research into it before hand and see if it's up your alley and then take your time to learn your mechanics before hoping into an actual game with players. However, there are other games set in the same setting that you might enjoy. Like Ruined King is a very good RPG set in the same universe that focuses and features characters that exist in both games. There is also Song of Nunu that is a more adventure game that takes place in the Freljord, the snowy place with the vikings you seen here. There is also a card game called Legends of Runeterra that is worth a look just for the art of the cards and the lore in the flavor text if you want to get a more general look into this world. The game itself is also pretty solid too if you're into that sorta thing. There is also a animated series set in the same universe called Arcane and, not joking it, is INSANELY good. Like it was one of the biggest shows on that platform after season one and it got a lot of people into this game. Admittedly it doesn't focus on the world as a whole as it focuses on the story of a specific area called Piltover, but it's for the best as it is just an insaly good show telling a masterfully written, character focused story. Like even if you aren't into League, or flat out hate the game, you may still love Arcane.
On the subject of jrpg style story games with these characters - that actually exists! Kinda. "Ruined King: A League of Legends story" is an rpg featuring a small selection of the characters set in one specific corner of the world (specifically Bilgewater, the "we've got pirates and spooky ghosts" region).
So just watched both vids. And just heads up, sorry for writing effectively an essay, just trying to give insight, first part is about the game league, second is about arcane, feel free to read or skip what you will! Hope to see more cinematic reactions and maybe arcane in the future! Leauge is like DOTA if you have heard of that. Basically each team has 5 players each player plays a different role: Top (usually a tank or melee character), Middle (typically spell casters), ADC ( long range DPS), Support (heals/buffs) and jungle ( travels around the map to help teammates as needed). There is no character creation, there are 164 champions to play as, all with different abilities, and purpose. All characters have their own back story and many that align, but you have to go read that on your own time. There is no story mode, there is no learning about the characters unless you choose to get into the lore. Its a 3d overhead game, that is heavily skill and reaction based, the goal of each game is destroy the enemies tower to get to the core of their base (aka "the Nexus) No RPG elements, no world to explore. Its a fun game, but the toxicity in the community is infamous, if you arent good in a game, people will be mean. I wouldnt recommend it personally, unless you play it very casually, and mostly with friends and are good about not taking things or people seriously. Also you should watch Arcane as others have mentioned! You dont have to know anything about league to like it, the art style, animation, music, choreography are all beautifully done. Its been highly regarded for its world building, character development, and story telling. Its one of the best shows (anime included) to come out in the last 10 years, and its ratings prove that. It approaches mental health, politics, social and economic issues, there are subtle nuances and symbolism sprinkled all through out the story, from tattoos, stuffed animals, and even their clothes all tell a small part of the story.
You just reminded me that Riot is developing an MMO with the league story. Idk how far in development it is but it should be interesting. Also there is a Netflix show about some of the characters in league
The world and lore of League is utterly fantastic and definitely worth delving into. The main game, sadly, is not IMO. Especially if you're looking for something deep and story driven like an RPG. The is an MMO on the way that will hopefully allow us to truly experience the world through our own characters, but it's still a ways off so we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime definitely watch Arcane, it's stunningly animated, has incredible writing and is easily one of the best shows ever made.
Arcane Season 2 will be out Nov 2024 as well, so definitely watch Arcane Season 1 before then. Arcane is also split into 3 acts, with 3 episodes each just so you have an idea on how the episodes released to the public (1 week gap between each 3 episode segment).
@@FindOSUBeatmapsHere unclear, likely will pick up with piltover and Zuan but might expand into other regions. I could definitely see Noxus getting involved given some things from S1
The closest you get in cinematics to game play is "A New Dawn" but it isn't close. League is an isometric view game. There are no real NPCs in the game that speak and the only NPCs are basic neutral monsters, a nonverbal shopkeeper and hooded minions from each side that run at each other and die. And the visuals are not to the quality of the cinematics. They are still largely fine and highly stylized, but rendered very differently.
Firstly yes. React to more cinematics. Secondly you can watch more of the story. It's called Arcane and you mentioned it in the video, silly. Third and most importantly there are a ton of League games beyond the MMO. There is a Card game that fleshes out not only the main champions from LoL, but also their friends, families and other stuff through soundbites when certain cards are played. There are also extensive lore dumps and comics to read on their main page. Then there is a turn based RPG called Ruined King. A roguelike similar to Hades called Mageseeker. After that you have their Mentroidvania called Convergence following one of the characters shown in Arcane. Though lets not forget the cute adventure story focusing on one boy and his yeti in Song of Nunu. Oh, but how can I not mention they've also got a fighting game in the works called Project J and a rumored MMO on the horizon. League is a multi media powerhouse crafting an extensive and glorious world. Heck they've even started having novels made. The first is called Ruination and it ties into Ruined King.
They are working on an MMO so one day it should be possible to play with those characters As for the story the game is no longer part of the story, the World was separated from the game around 2014 when Riot did a hard lore reset .... Creating more of a coherent world Currently most of the story can be found for free on Riots Universe page ... primarily in the form of short stories and comics .... They started not long ago also publish more story oriented single player games set in this world : The Mageseeker, The Ruined King: a Leauge of Legends Story, Song of Nunu to name a few as well as publish the first story books with Garen: The First Shield and Ruination What generated a lot of buzz for this universe is a excelent Animated show called Arcane .... which will be getting a 2nd season next year. When it comes to story telling Riot excels at character focused shorter stories and world building ... they have some problem with larger stories ... That said there is another soft reset happening currently as until now the different avenues formed a lose multiverse ... but they decided to consolidate most of it into one Universe. They also have a pretty fun card game called Legends of Runetera ... with a pretty generous free to play setting when it comes to cards ... the cosmetics and such are on the other hand quite pricey ...
If you realy want to watch other leagur trailers, you should know that they are very different one from another. Because there are music videos, trailers, teasers and all of them are conected in some way. There is the main universe (story) but also there is the alterative universes (made for skins). I would recomend you when you choose a video, after watching search for characters who were in this video. It would bwe more entertainting if you would do it on the recording. It will be tough, cuz there are more than 160 characters, but it will be interesting. (Speaking about music videos, all of them are related to the alterative universes or to the E-sport)
Please React to the 5 or 6 Videos that Necrit did for the Riot MMO. He first explained the overall Story of Runeterra then he talked about potential Races and Classes etc.
YES! DO IT! WATCH ARCANE! IT'S SO GOOD!

you will LOVE Arcane, its such a good into to league lore for a newbie
Well this series has spin off games. One of which is a rpg with six playable characters and others as bosses.
Can we all just agree. Pantheon is what all Men should strive for. For he is the pinnacle of worthy.

New League cinematic "Still Here" just dropped a few days ago :3
League is a MOBA, not an RPG. But an MMO is in the works, so maybe that's something you could look into when it releases in a couple of years : P
i have replayed phant's hand part of this vid so many times its so well done

"is there a character creation in league of legends?"
No
...not yet
an mmo that is set in runeterra(leagues world) is in the works
i highly recommend every product from Riot beside the game XD their cinematic always make you think why wouldnt they just make a movie already

Maybe watch necrits mmo videos if you want more lore
No character creator....BUT there is an mmo coming.
If Riot made single player story driven games for their characters then I would play the games. But I am never playing league.
Arcane is probably the best thing to come out of league. The worst thing to come out of league is league.
Arcane Season 2 will be out Nov 2024 as well, so definitely watch Arcane Season 1 before then. Arcane is also split into 3 acts, with 3 episodes each just so you have an idea on how the episodes released to the public (1 week gap between each 3 episode segment).

Also, you want RPG? I recommend checking out Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.

Listen…With League, it’s okay to enjoy the story. But for the love of god, SKIP THE GAME.
That is not 3D animation
That is realmation
Fighting game coming out soon.
Watch Arcane
I like the lore of League but I absolutely abhor the game.
Don't "get to Arcane when you can". Legit stop everything you are doing and watch it asap.
