I’m on my fifth or sixth bottle of this and I love it! The bottle just arrived the other day. I was really shocked to get a second bottle with the same order number today. I emailed the company thinking that I had accidentally ordered twice - explaining that I could not access my order history. They emailed me back and told me it was their mistake and not mine. They thanked me for contacting them and told me to keep or gift the extra bottle. Very nice of them.

I received the product. I haven't used it yet but i really don't like a peculiar scent that I'm not to thrill of beside the citrus scent. I will use and let you know how it goes. At the moment i am using a product called vibrance. This product i do enjoy cause it has a nice and pleasant scent and it is really working. Its been a month I've been using and I'm very pleased do far. But its always nice to try other products. Thanks.
I've been using tretinoin for years but at times I need the break when sensitivity presents itself. Could this be a substitute during a week off tretinoin? Thanks

I use Curology Retin-A cream every third night, because that's all my skin can tolerate. Would it be too much to supplement my Retin-A with this on the nights I don't use the Retin-A?

I currently use Skinmedica 0.5 retinol, so since this product is a RetinAL it is definitely stronger??
So you think you'll get better results with this then other products with retinol from the drug store like olay or roc? Retinaldehyde is one step conversion to retinA , I believe so hopefully we can get great results, I now use obagi 1.0 % and other types too but hoping this a winner..thx.

There are others brands with Retinal products but they are very expensive. Geek and Gorgeous has a cheaper version but the shipping is extremely expensive because I think they're Hungarian. You have to spend $60.00 to get free shipping.
I so enjoy using the Avene RetrinAL 0.1, such a beautiful product.

I just bought some and tried first time tonight. I have super sensitive skin. It did tingle a little, but so far so good with no rash or whelps just yet as usually happens with any new face product, even mild lotions. Watched this video to find out how to put it on and whether to use moisturizer or not. Thanks.

@@CastellonZamora I am really enjoying it. I feel like my skin on my face feels stronger and looks better. I do have to put on a moisturizer after putting it on, but there is no irritation. I like it so much I will continue to use it, but I alternate with Avene Retrinal.
I have super sensitive skin as well. I'm hesitant to try it (Maelove Retinol Serum) because it contains citrus oils (fragrance). I really think this could be problematic for me. Are you able to apply this serum every night? Do you apply it to your neck? Does cause any irritation at all? Have you ever had to stop using it because it was irritating your skin? I would greatly appreciate your feedback. It will help me decide if I should try it or not. I live in Canada and a return would not be possible. Thank-you so much! : )

I have very pale skin and no matter what I do it leaves a light yellow tint on my face. (jaundice yellow lol). However, I only use it at night and wash my face in the morning so it doesn't bother me.
For people with sensitive skin: I have very sensitive skin with peri-oral dermatitis and I took a chance on this. I introduced it slowly (when I did not have a flare up). I used an azleic acid serum underneath and a good moisturizer on top and I've had no issues! If I do get a flare up I stop using this for a week or so and start back with no issues. I use it ~4x a week right now.

The retinal from Maelove has changed my skin. I'm 66, have sun damage, wrinkles and am beginning to sag😒
I have used several retinols over the last 5 years- they gave me ok results- neutrogena, loreal, and Olay. But nothing that wow-ed me.
I have used Moonlight for 3 months now and I'm pretty amazed. My crows feet are only showing a little when I smile, the 11's between my eyes are greatly reduced and even the ugly vertical lines above lip are fading. The tiny fine lines are reduced too.
Overall my skin is tighter, firmer and just happy! I use their Glowmaker in the morning and Moonlight at night.
A funny thing- I tried their retinol Stargazer and it really irritated my skin- only thing that ever has, so there is likely one ingredient in it that disagrees with me- ymmv!
What a great review! I'm 66 as well and I just started using MaeLove Glowmaker. So I should get the Moonlight as well then to use at night. What else do you use at night ?

Depending on sensitivity, you can apply a thin layer of moisturizer first, let it dry/absorb, apply the retinol, let it dry down, then top with moisturizer (the sandwich method). Of you can apply the retinol to dry skin, let it dry/absorb and then top off with moisturizer.
Probably won’t have to wait as this blends in quickly and we’ll. I apply a moisturizing cream shortly after massaging in. 👍🙌

Been using this serum as well, but I’m a bit confused about all the layering with other products etc. For example, Maelove also has a glycolic moisturizer - but these shouldn’t be paired, right? I just wonder what is more effective, or if the two are kind of superfluous (just one or the other) in a skincare routine. Also, is that to say that this serum is also more powerful than a Skinceuticals retinol cream?
It's probably best to alternate the nights with the glycolic and retinol. Here's a breakdown of retinoid type: Retinyl palmitate is the least potent OTC retinoid. Retinaldehyde is an OTC retinoid that’s stronger than retinol. Retinol is the standard ingredient found in OTC retinoid products. Tretinoin is a potent retinoid available by prescription only. Tazarotene is the most powerful retinoid, available by prescription only. Adapalene is a retinoid now available over the counter.
is that serum fragrance free?
is there a retinol serum you recommend that does not have niacinamide? I figured out niacinamide is really for people who have oily/acne prone skin, not dehydrated skin, it's like pouring salt on a wound, I really don't need niacinamide in combination with my retinol because the retinol is drying enough, any suggestions?
Niacinimide doesn't dry out skin, it simply regulates oil production. It's completely safe for dry/dehydrated skin.
What retinol product would you recommend for under the eyes? I have heard a lot of people talk about the neutrogena brand.
The inkey list has an inexpensive one! $10 I believe.
I use bland CeraVe moisturizing cream topped with Retin A .25%. If you want to stick with the retinol level of retinoids, I suggest using Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Max around your eyes and neck areas.
Dr Dray recommends the neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair eye cream and the avene retrinAL eyes.

Do you know anything about the Maelove company? Are their products backed up by any independent research? I always get suspicious of new brands that claim to have expensive active ingredients but then there's no way to prove it...

Retinol ( ones you mentioned)- Retinaldehyde ( like Maelove)- Tretinoin ( by prescription). That is the order from low-medium- most potent .
@@ms.c76 yes but obagi 1.0 %retinol is much stronger than drugstore retinols.
I was super excited about this serum, as it has Retinaldehyde, Niacinamide, ceramide, squalane and green tea. But then, I saw it has witch hazel, bergamot oil and denatured alcohol in the ingredient list, all of which can be irritating. What a bummer!
A lot of maelove products have fragrance.
I was concerned about those ingredients as well but decided to try it anyway. Glad I did. My sensitive skin seems fine with it. I use it every other night with no irritation. Much better than retinol

Maelover moonlight I hope I spelled it right had denate alcohol which is not good for sensitive people who pigment easy...not a fan. Not sure if its safe for skin of color

Just over 4 weeks in my experience
I haven't needed to use a full dropper. Just a few drops works. I use it every other night and alternate with copper peptides. Love the results

Definitely don't use them on the same night. That would be too harsh. I'd say you could alternate them each night but work up to that slowly if your skin is not used to retinols. Differin is stronger for sure. Just be careful not to overuse, and don't ever use AHAs, BHAs or other exfoliating acids before either of these products.

The Maelove Eye Enhancer is horrible. I would stay away. It is drying, burns your skin, and irritates like crazy. I tried using the tiniest bit every night and after three months I will be throwing it away. I really gave it a fair try. Please also note that after making a purchase on their site, I was unable to post a review. Therefore, they only post positive reviews and do not allow customers to post their true experience with the product.
