    I was about to say... I am super excited to hunt the elephant, giraffe, and hippo. I kinda wish that the whole big five could've been included but I think it would be a good update once the game releases! I really liked this video, thanks for sharing

      I wish all the big 5 could have been included in one map as well. That was their original plan I believe, so I don’t know what happened. I would like to see Rhinos and Leopards in a second Africa map that would otherwise be dedicated to antelope species, but they have given us Hippos and Crocs which is definitely nice.

    I think lots of lost resources on animals like the elephant or crocodile or the smaller animals. For me, the kudu, warthog, and the buffalo are very good for a start.

    I appreciate the impressive roster of animals, but i still wanted to see leopards and rhinos
    If this game gets updates after release, I'm sure they'd get added in tho

      Personally i agree, but i think they would be better served on another map so as to have "Iconic" species on that too

    The only hunting game i can think of that have giraffes would be Cabela's African Safari all the way back from 2006, and in that game they weren't even a huntable species (you could still kill them but you couldn't harvest or get a score for them, in fact you got penalized for doing so)
    Needles to say, giraffe would be the very first animal I'll try to hunt when this game comes out 💯

      I suppose Big Buck Safari also had giraffe lol, but that was an action arcade game tho

    I didn’t realize this was premiering as I was at work. However I did get around to watching it.
    I’m not going to question your judgment on the Difficulty rankings for each animal, since you live in the same area that this reserve will resemble, and (I assume) have connections with hunters there. I feel like maybe you ranked some on the Iconic scale a little too low (the crocs for example), but again, I’m not from Africa (However my stepfather is, and whenever I hear you talk it feels like I’m listening to a younger version of himself!).
    The only thing that I personally disagree upon is the uniqueness for quite a few of the species. I wasn’t sure if you meant uniqueness in terms of how many times these animals appeared in other hunting games, or in terms of how similar they are to other animals. Many of the animals on this reserve have been seen in hunting games before (Cabela’s African Safari from 2006 is a great example of a game that has most of them, and it was also my first non-arcade hunting game). But animals like the Rock Hyrax and Helmeted Guineafowl have never been implemented in any hunting game before (to my knowledge, I may be wrong), and while I’m personally more excited for bigger game like Elephants, Hippos, & Zebras, I can’t deny that it will be exciting for me to hunt a species I’ve never hunted before in any other hunting game. Most likely I will have to kill some Hyraxes and Warthogs before I “graduate” to elephant levels of weapons.
    Great video, and I absolutely respect your opinion. I’m excited for the California video!

    • @Ragnar.Gaming
      @Ragnar.Gaming  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you so much.
      Just to clarify, The "Iconic" scale was if you had to think of africa, what would the first animals be that pop into your head.
      And the Unique was how many times have they or something very similar been in other hunting games (Hare for example, The Savanna hare has never appeared, but "Hare" have, and they are SO similar that i classify them as the same thing in a game", and since Hyrax are very similar in behaviour, i put them in the same class, because in a Game they will jump around, eat grass and leaves, and hide when they are disturbed, just like Hare)
      I am SO glad you enjoyed the Video though

    3:56 Sorry to say, but your information is just plain incorrect. You almost never shoot old, 'trophy' lions out of prides especially in today's Africa where conservation of the species is more important than ever. I know this is a game and it doesn't have to be completely accurate but the fact of the matter is that lions are not nearly as easy to hunt as you think.
    And based on what multiple top PH's have stated before, lions are probably one of the most difficult animals to hunt in Africa for the simple fact that finding a male that fits both the age criteria, as well as being a representative specimen, is a huge challenge. Hence why you usually are not going to book a safari that lasts under 18 days.
    Your statement about elephant hunting not being particularly difficult is also flat-out wrong. Elephants are going to be hunted with your feet, which can mean dozens of kilometres will be traversed every day for a minimum of 14 days, as that is the most commonly chosen time frame for an elephant safari today. Shooting is also exceptionally difficult as an elephant is constantly alert, and will usually present very challenging shot angles for the hunter. Let's not mention the fact that elephants are not going to be "impressed" by any shoulder mounted rifle. It's all about shot placement.

    • @Ragnar.Gaming
      @Ragnar.Gaming  2 роки тому +1

      Old Lion are rarely hunted as trophies outside of caged hunting, most lion trophies are taken out of pride.
      Lion are far easier to Hunt than for example Leopard, Sitatunga, or even buffalo in certain regions (Like Uganda). Heck, In the true bush, not on a hunting farm, i found Bushbuck more difficult to hunt than Lion. Having taken part in several Lion hunts myself, i can assure you of this. Being Terrestrial, and territorial, any hunter worth his salt will know the area, and prides well enough to know where to go, and then to track the Lion, eith old solo males, or prides. BUT once again, prides are extremely more complex to hunt than solitary males.
      As for Elephant, same applies to the Lion, any hunter worth his salt will know where the Elephant are at any particular time of year, reducing the need for tracking. However for "Guided Hunts"it is common to delay the finding of animals so as to have the client stay the full 14 to 21 days, and they intern give the team bigger tips. And yes, shot placement is extremely important. I have seen photographs and heard confirming statements of Elephant being put down with a well placed brain shot using nothing more than a .303. However it was done by a man who had shot more than 100 Elephant in his life, and the shot was taken from no more than 30m. With todays 700 Nitro's you can take much more challenging shots and less accuracy is required.
      I think where the confusion comes from with regards to difficulty to hunt certain species are due to "Satellite Hunters" being used to guide clients, not knowing the area, and therefore struggling to produce the required result.
