I adopted a Beagle from a dog food lab. They would be killed if not adopted……she lived to be 18 and she also had a number tattooed in her ear.
Same here, mine is now 10 years old and still acts like a puppy. Mine was bred to be a lab beagle and when I got her she had never stepped on grass. To this day she has some weird ticks from her stay as a laboratory testing beagle.

Unbelievable how the woman shoves the tube down the dog's throat as if he were an inanimate object. Does anyone have an update on this expose of human brutality? What happened to the dogs they had tortured? These dogs would be tortured in labs that use them to test products for Proctor & Gamble, Tide, L'Oreal, Dawn, etc.. Please don't buy products that torture animals in their labs. Look for "we-don't-test-on-animals" icon on products you buy.

They even joke about it on tv shows like Friends, where Chandlers girlfriend was buying hamster's to be tested on at the research facility she worked at. There is a culture, especially in the US, where you have to like your steak and make fun of animal rights protesters.
