We took the brakes on our RV to the Maxx! In this video, we will take you with us as we upgrade the brakes on our Keystone Montana fifth wheel. We upgraded the factory standard electric drum brakes, to performance hydraulic disc brakes from DeeMaxx. When it comes to stopping power, we wanted the best. Follow along as we show you what this process looks like. As a bonus, we also made a few additional upgrades to our suspension as well. Since disc brakes are not adjustable, like drum brakes, what did they do before you left their facility to even the braking between the front and rear axles (and possibly left to right). When a tire is locked up under braking, it has lost traction.

The last step in installation is to bleed the brakes. Once this is done ,this allows even pressure to all 4 wheels. The difference between disc and drum is clearly night and day. I will never tow an RV with drum brakes again!!!!
