It's crazy how long it took the gun industry to break the micro 9 formula but when they did, they really went crazy. So many options in the micro 9 category from all my favorite manufacturers besides Walther (which is sad because they were among the first to deliver a 1" slim micro compact with the PPS in 2007).
@ in my view, the Smith & Wesson shield has sort of been the correct formula the entire time but the problem is you get wonky Smith & Wesson quality. Before my CC nine I was carrying a shield plus but the goddamn trigger Pin walks. You can send it back to Smith & Wesson but it’s not even a guaranteed fix. It’s not like the trigger is important.

Shot mine today for 1st time. Very accurate and pleasant to shoot. Very nice trigger on it as well. Sum take up on trigger till you feel the wall. The trigger was a selling point for me. When I went into shop I decided if trigger sucked I'd pass. Instead, I had to get my wallet out.
I bought one. I have Xl hands. It fits better than my 365x in my hand. Better trigger than the Sig. My Glock 43xl is about the about the same in grip. I do like the finger grooves better in the cc9 and it has better trigger. I find it recoils just slightly more than both but very manageable.
It recoils more than the 43X? I always found the 43X pretty snappy. The Shield Plus seems to have the least recoil of any gun in this size. I am curious how recoil compared to the Shield Plus
I've seen this reviewed by a lot of my most trusted reviewers out there. And I really want one. I saw John from active self-protection cover it so I'm all in. Thank you for confirming the large hand part that's the one thing I was worried about. I've got a Walther PDP f-series 3.5 and I really love that pistol, but it's also chunky for a concealed carry.
Awesome job getting 1000 rounds through it already!!! Will be getting one of these once they become available regularly and there are some more holster options, don’t have the $$$ atm anyways. I live in a mag ban state so 10 rounders will be all I get that along with the ambi controls have me decided on this plus the expected good reliability of HK.
I have been hearing about Walther's supposed micro 9 for years. Have you heard something concrete? I gave up on them despite absolutely loving my PPQ M1 and my PPS M1. They are great pistols that have never let me down. Too bad they stopped being interested being competitive in the micro 9 category.
@ Yes, a UA-camr found Walther’s patent application online for their DS micro 9 earlier this year. He posted a 10 minute video showing schematics. It looks a lot like the new 380 Walther recently released.
Thanks for braving the cold for us. I was pissed they didn't deliver the paddle version, but the ambi button is a nice compromise, and it also puts them ahead of their competition. A true ambi gun is hard to find in this class.

Years of waiting for the SFP9CC...and we get this? It looks like a Ruger. No paddle release. No "Made in Germany". Looks like it's too big for most pockets. But, good beavertail. Good capacity. Sounds like it runs. The double-sided mag release is a big plus in my book. Guess I'll have to try one. Anyone know what RDS footprint is supports? The older version promised plateless RMRcc.
6:48 it really goes to show how spoiled most shooters are being right-handed that it's a review point to make that people don't bump the mag release. Me being a lefty have had to avoid the mag release my whole life and was always told to deal with it. It's not a feature for righties it's a feature for lefties and it's time that most people get to deal with it. Absolutely no hate, I really enjoy your videos. This is just what I've had to endure my whole life and it's just funny seeing so many comment about it this time around.
@@garrettlundy3959 I gave up on waiting. I've heard rumors of the PPS M3 for years and still no action. Walther was pretty much the first 1" micro with a good trigger and when they didn't answer the P365 challenge I was extremely disappointed. That said I still carry my PPS M1 every day.
This is my first time watching one of your videos but you forcefully jam that magazine in and a few times once it was in hit with the heel of your hand a second time, which makes we wonder if you had some sort of failure to hold the magazine you're not mentioning.
Yes, Absolutely. no sense in carry a weapon without it being immediately ready. If it’s not chambered and you need it, you have to spend valuable / life saving time chambering a round. And you have to consider - What if you don’t have your support hand? Are you able to rack the slide one handed, is there an optic that can assist? What if you have nothing to rack it on. Yes, technically having a round in the chamber can increase the chances of a negligent/accidental discharge. It’s an HK so accidental discharge is basically off the table. So a negligent discharge is still possible, but if it’s “possible” and not “very very very unlikely” then politely, you need better and more training.
I would because it's similar to The S&W Shield Plus and Glock 43X but has better ergonomics and a better grip. My wife has small hands and she really likes it because it doesn't break her grip like the other micro pistols.
Yes, the size and ergonomics are prefect for men or women but please note that the recoil spring and slide are very stiff and will be hard for some men and women to rack. The mag springs are also very stiff. Recommend a maglula for loading ammo.
Fn reflex is still king. I liked the HK CC9 in hand but the reflex has better size dimensions imo. Plus the reflex is a dang good shooter. When I shoot the HK I might change my mind tho 👀
Maybe HK’s most disappointing product. Day late, dollar short, overvalued, & underpowered by multiple rounds. Would never swap, or buy this over a proven, 17 round, everyday concealed carry Sig XMacro. For everything else USP, VP9, VP9L, Match. This is without doubt a huge compromise.

I like HK’s German design and engineering. So why would I want one designed and manufactured in the US? The American brains that designed this and hands that manufactured it are the weak link.
Wtf are you going on about? It went through the same testing as the USP. It’s built just like the German HKs and still uses German barrels. It’s just like any other HK except for looks and a paddle. A paddle would be nice and may be a future option since it’s a chassis gun. I don’t buy HKs for looks. I buy them for their design, quality, durability, reliability and track record. This checks all the boxes. This is the first micro 9 that actually interests me. The larger front to back grip and backstraps is a huge plus for my hands.

The CC9’s overall height is less than the G43X’s. It approximates the OAH of the P365X.

It's RMSC red dot ready(no plates required) and it's a fantastic option for a CCW.

The Reflex grip doesn't look inviting, but it looks a lot like my Walther PPS M1's grip and I love that gun to death, lol.
