The flattened tip of the new fin reminded me of the "clipped wingtips" of some versions of the WW2 Spitfire fighter aircraft. This modification gave these versions of the Spitfire both an increase in maximum speed and in manoeuvrability in terms of their roll speed. I wonder if this is in any way applicable to these newer fins?
LG
cool video, nice to get some more insights from around the water. Good luck with the development collaboration! As you crashed 3 times, any chance you want to give away the fin :p Our local surf club might use a new fin for our 85 board... Or adopt your old 46 one and give it a second life with upcoming talent? ;)
Nils. Another great video 🤙 I have just bought a 2015 132L Falcon TE and an 8.6 Severne Race sail. I’m a wave sailor so just getting used to the slalom kit. What length of harness lines do you use? All mine are 32” for wavesailing but they feel way too long for slalom sailing. Thanks
Nice vid Nils, Looks a bit like a tailwalk to me. Perhaps an even smaller Biting Beast would do perfectly?! In what perspective is the BB different from the Bitch? Gr. Maarten
Hey I discovered your channel recently and I really like the technical aspect / analyses you bring post session ! I’m trying to get faster and I have a question : what fin size would you use with 7.0 on a 62,5cm wide board (100L) I am currently riding with a 34 (S1) but I really feel like the board is missing some lift when it is below 23-25knots
@@WindsurfingNils okay thank you for the info !! I’ll see if I can borrow someone another fin to see if I feel a difference Keep up the good videos ! I am blown away by your speed in low wind ! Good ride 🤙
Okay, thx for clarification, I was already wondering if I am to stupid to open it ;) . As I am going to Baltic see I am searching for a slalom orientated weed fin, maybe you can make a video about that compromise situation?
At that speed you should lean back just a little to help exorbitant the G forces that Through you forward into the board. That comes from my own personal experience.😎
Awesome video mate!✌🏽
Lets hope for warmer temperatures..
And I also need to get a tripod soon..
I definitely need to try some decent fins.

That is what exactly what happen to me 2 days ago! I did not though out to the water, but my kneecap hit the mast, very painful 😥! Black and blue! 😰
I like your comprehensive explications ! What means rake ?
the angle of the fin, for example weed fins have a rake of 45°, slalom fins 10-30°

I would love to build some crazy fins! Something never been made

Hello, nice video. What kind of GPS and software do you use? It generates nice chart and I have never seen data about acceleration in my apps.
Nice vid Nils,
Looks a bit like a tailwalk to me. Perhaps an even smaller Biting Beast would do perfectly?!

Hey Nils, cooles Video!

34cm is good, just the s1 is not a really good fin, doesnt get enough lift

Hey Nils, are you going to be a „fun bird“ as we say in Germany? I like your comedy style on the intro 😂🤪🤣
Haha, let's see, was just happy to hit the water again 🤙😂
Hey Nils, why is the HP of feinefinnen down?
There were some issues with the website, new website should be up soon 🤙

Warum ist grad einfach kein Wind..😢
Flaute flaute und nochmehr flaute... 😥
Maybe a little bigger sail on that wide board so you are more lit up with the power! :D It does looks a bit gusty!
Yes, 8,4 would have been better at first, but later on it was quite windy, (18-26kts) always a little gusty at my homespot... 🙂

hahah nice intro and welcome back!
👌Nice and a Like👍 for the further motivation to create more videos ✨🎥
So you crashed 3 times, I would think there is something wrong with the fin . In the BIN
