Great demo with my fav brass library :3 Divisimate seems like a fun tool. Is it available in VST plugin form for use in a DAW or is it just a standalone program?
Glad you like it! Divisimate is a standalone software to connect to your DAW as sort of a "middle man" between MIDI Controller and DAW. There is no plugin version available.
Hi there can you explain a little bit of the product how it works and is it cpu friendly? Great performance track btw I felt as if I was inside a Star Wars film... 😁😁
Hi there, Glad you enjoyed the performance! If you want to know more about Divisimate, check out the rest of our channel! There is a ton of videos, with basic tutorials, explanations and demonstrations here. A good place to start would be this page here: divisimate.com/features/ , there is a basic tutorial playlist embedded at the top and more information on the features of Divisimate. If you want to know more about how this specific performance was done, check out this article: divisimate.com/breaking-down-the-infinite-brass-live-video/ The CPU Load of Divisimate on its own is very low - the resource demand is more defined by the number of instruments and the CPU demands of the instruments you are playing at the same time in your DAW. There are additionally differences between the DAWs, so it's tough to do universal benchmarking. But if you layer a bunch of instruments in your DAW, record-enable them all at the same time and play them through your MIDI controller, you can see where the limits of your specific setup are. If you can play it without Divisimate, it also won't be too much for your machine if you introduce Divisimate.
@@Nextmidi Ok I will look thoroughly and thank you very much once again. I've always been a Kontakt 6 full version user but it frustrates me to only have 16 stereo outs when one knows that an orchestra/symph band for instance truly needs a bit more channels than that to compose and function properly.. Hopefully it knocks K6 out of the park.
@@Metalpazallteway You're welcome! Well, Divisimate is really not an alternative to Kontakt. It is a MIDI orchestration software designed to work hand in hand with sequencer software and samplers. Still might well do what you're looking for in orchestration.
@@Nextmidi I'm glad to hear this amazing point. I will be looking more into your product and thank you once again for the amazing performance, it was a fresh much needed re awakening sound.
Thanks! Dynamics are controlled with a breath and bite controller by TEControl here. The infinite series doesn't have "articulations", they are performance oriented instruments. That means that different articulations are achieved using the dynamic controllers, note length and velocity. That's why they are so playable and perfect for this kind of performance. The different mutes however are switched using the Trigger plugin in Divisimate.
It's not entirely the default settings, but there are no big changes or special tricks applied here. The tweaks we did were mainly to the mic mix and humanization settings to complement the humanization from Divisimate and have things blend better with the quite roomy Spitfire timpani. The hall is the default and positioning should be largely unaltered too. It's just details, personal preference and playing style. Generally it should sound pretty close to this out of the box. There's no additional reverb or EQ on top of this either.
Very good piece of software congratulations to Nextmidi for this very clever work!!! But what's wrong with the prize ? same prize as a daw bro! it sounds dramatically too much even if the product is very good : it's not a daw it's just a third party isn't it ?
Too bad other demos are with audio modeling, which I pitched a year or two ago, and I find the vibrato would be more impactful , i.e less irritating, if slower. Vibrato was created to be irritating to cut through the opera orchestra. With DM you have sloved a 2 decade PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy smokes, that's awesome! Love how dynamic this is. Must be a blast to play. Great proof of concept of both technologies.
Oh hello again lol
OMG. This... Is so fucking good! Is this how Infinite Brass sounds out of the box or has it been tweaked???
Incredible job guys! 🤯
Sounds great !!!
That's great!

Wonderful stuff... I assume a breath controller is used in this video. Many blessings, Max
Exactly, there's a TEControl breath&bite controller used here for dynamics and vibrato.

1.6 is out! Will you make this demo in the new version? :)
We won't remake this particular demo with 1.6 - but there will be other demos with the new version soon :)

Can I ask what settings were used in Infinite Brass itself? Is it just default?

Breath controller, as far as I can tell.
