My jaw hit hit the floor, and I was stunned!! Bungie, you almost gave me a Coronary with that scene!! Upon reflection, I have to say I AM rather surprised that Eris seem'd surprised by her still being alive, and her laughter when she realized what had happened brought a small smile. One Question though, the three Siblings CREATED their Throne Worlds, as refuges when they 'died'. I guess Eris MIGHT also have created hers OUT of the immediate stresses of her passing. Another question must be, WHERE does her Throne World reside? On the Sea of Screams perchance? or SOMEWHERE WITHIN the Dreadnaught? As for that laugh, and the tearing off of her bandage.........Truly a Sister to Savathun, and to Xivu Arath!!
@@reamoinmcdonachadh9519 I knew they were going to kill her the moment neither her nor drifter used their stasis power to defend themselves, for no reason. The Throne World could only exist on the Dreadnought through inversion. Though inversion has been a theme here so maybe she'll do it herself. But yeah I was completely shocked that she was killed, and Drifter's panic and grief hurt me so much
the Sea of Screams is what the Ascendant Realm consists of. powerful beings use their will to forcefully make their Throne World in it. remember the lore about Mara... when she was killed, she ended up having to find her way thru the Sea of Screams to get to her own Throne World. some of Toland's dialogs (Dreaming City Ascendant Challenges, & patrols on the Moon) discuss the Ascendant Realm. there's some older lore too, but i don't recall the specific books.
For the first 2 minutes after she got impaled, I was honestly shocked, then i remembered she became a Hive god so she most likely had a throne world, in a way like Mara's. Soon as the throne world cutscene played i yelled out "I knew it" 😂

This is the first time, after a long time, ever since Cayde's death, that I feel so furious about character's fate. At least, we know she's safe in her throne world, and will come back at some point.
Then playing “ To be a warlock “ ost when drifting is over Eris is NOT OKAY. Its the only time that track has ever been used outside of the warlock getting stormtrance in D1. Makes the scene so much more sad
20:47 yeah, instead of just “lore dumping in space” I wish there was an option to receive a transmission. Ergo the recording won’t start till we are ready.
I knew she had to have a throne world. Still pretty cool to tease a killing off of a major character. So far I’m liking this more than the other 2 seasons
I believe that eris even though she expelled her hive god of vengence she could not fully escape from that title so I think if we performed something like oryx and his siblings have done to revive each other we won’t see her again
Seeing as Vengeance is the whole theme, Eris- In my mind - is likely shaping up to become the Hive Queen of Vengeance. That or the Taken Queen. I mean, she’s on her Throne World and obviously something’s snapped due to her weird behavior. Just a thought.
Either she’s laughing cuz she’s surprised that she had a throne world or Xivu some how hijacked her body and throne world and that’s why she’s laughing
I think eris could have equal claim to both oryx’s throneworld given where she died but also Xivu Arath’s because she’s the one who severed it. I also can’t help but think this might be the start of the dark future, that the exo stranger, Elsie Bray, warned us about.
I would be sad about Eris dying since she's my favourite character but I don't believe for a second that she's not coming back. Eris being a hive god means it's logical she has a throne world and if she didn't die in the throne world it shouldn't be permanent. That combined with the fact that she hasn't been removed from the moon like Amanda got removed from the tower before her death tells me she'll be back before the season ends
I'm go take a guess that Oryx will be resurrected as some sort of lucent (not) hive and use the taken power to revert them into some sort of new Paracausal entity that's neither guardian/lucent. Possibly also reclaiming his old name as Aurash or Auryx old female hive. To possibly play a part in the upcoming expansions.
So since it is Eris, after all, if we are seeking Vengeance in honor of her while she sits in her Throne World believed to be dead, she could possibly become powerful by taking our kills as tribute.
Ok so from after we beat Oryx, since Eris claims our spoils stating that “she will not fail” as from that point the vengeance trail began. We move to shadowkeep where we see her again claiming our spoils seeing that welding darkness wasn’t just a limitation, yet we discover using stasis after this scene. We’ve leaned towards Eris for her Hive knowledge, to be able to get around Calus and Savathun, but I’ve always felt like there’s a lot of background movement. Fast forward, 2 hive rituals later, which this can’t be a coincidence, because a proxy is always needed to be the acting agent for the real player. We get a Hive God by the logic of fight fire with fire. Now after Eris finally getting her back blown out (sorry Driffter) and a post nut clarity that’s truly worth remembering since the eye protection came off - I’m having questions as anyone would. First is, how long has Eris known that this was going to happen to have this recording. Second, that subjugator, how did they even get caught up with the Taken ?Unless from the Calus and Witness situation somehow told the new puppeteer that “hey I know something that will piss off the guardians. Taken ? Yes, but I’ll give you a thing that irritates them a Subjugator! (imagine if it was a Taken Tornentor). 3. They both have access to stasis, plot would’ve said no you don’t want to use it to fight a literal embodiment, but then it’s Destiny why not, hell we have how many weapons that makes us do this?
Is there any chance this isnt 100% Eris? Maybe Oryx has found a way back through her? That evil laugh and removal of her veil has me thinking thats not truly her
No, it is her. She has just realised that she has her own throne world. If you look at the symbol on the floor, it is the same as the symbol on her chest.
That and she felt her own chest after she experienced death, the removal of her blindfold is because she's by herself, and has no current need to hide or protect her eyes, the laugh is a human response to having literally survived death and also a chuckle knowing she still has her give God status and powers.
If it turns out that wss Eris's Throne World, I have a theory that since we get a: Hive navigator set; What if Eris learns to turn her Throne World inside out & take's over the Dreadnought & it becomes our ship & what we use to travel beyond sol
Anyone else get some strange voice lines during the Nether activity from a voice we haven't heard before? I got one talking about "thunder gods" or something like that I was caught off guard and didn't get a chance to hear the whole thing. Wondering if anyone else has heard it?
Haven’t watched the globe video but based off of what you guys have seen. As a veteran who’s played from D1 up to final shape and stopped. Is it worth coming back?
Is that Eris? Or did Oryx take her body? Oh nvm, she went to her throne world. That’s a slick way to cheat death since she lost her ghost all those years ago on the moon
Hey Evaze..do u think we will hear from Toland? Because we kinda see that light thingy on the Dreadnought when we play The Nether. U think he will be a Part of this episode?
Eris didn’t “die”, she definitely has a throne world, just like Mara, oryx, savathun, Crota, and (previously) xivu. Everyone forgets that Eris became a hive god. even a random fallen guy got a throne world in forsaken
Eris is going to be in Xivu Arath thrown world as she removed/took Xivu Arath's power and connection to it in the season of the witch, if not then it would the Eris own thrown world but the looks of it she didnt know she had created it, hence why i think its Xivu Arath
Low key, I rather we not know she is alive to make us feel more emotional pain, and then at the end we realize she is alive but also with a twist maybe she was trying to grab power in the hive and final embrace the hive and lead to her being the new baddy as exo stranger called it. I think us as the player knowing she is alive removes the weight of seeking vengeance because we know she is alive. Also another critique is like eris has no where to go now, she is the most powerful hive God. She can command the hive and now she will use the hive for "good" but make so that the good is here being a tyrant. I feel like this will be good and no redemption arc either, either she goes evil or not I am tired of everyone getting a redemption arc. Idk that's my thoughts so far
I keep getting the same dialog every time I go to orbit.... Listened to it about 2 dozens times now. Bungie also made a statement saying there's dialog from xivu that's missing 😳
@shermanpeaslee658 yea, a message popped up on my monitor about xivu when they turned the servers back on. They said they turned everyone's close caption on so you don't miss the dialog since the audio is missing. At that point, I already finished this week's content... Maybe I'll see it if I run another character through

20:47 yeah, instead of just “lore dumping in space” I wish there was an option to receive a transmission. Ergo the recording won’t start till we are ready.
Yeah I missed the first and half of the second one.
If I’m not mistaken there’s was a lot of talk about Eris being one of the people who has a throne world
I think Eris’ death was the most devastating death in the franchise. Yes more than Cayde. And yes more than Amanda.
I knew she had to have a throne world. Still pretty cool to tease a killing off of a major character. So far I’m liking this more than the other 2 seasons
Amazing Episode so far! Fucking awesome stuff! Loving the gameplay as well
Wow...some great cut scenes. Thanks for the video.
Moonlight… broke me 😢 I don’t know if she is still alive somewhere or only her soul is taken but that really made me tear up
Tf you mean still alive somewhere, we fucking see here come back in her own throne world, did you not pay attention
Part of me thinks that Eris made her own Throne World and is where she ended up.... I'm probably wrong but a man can dream
Yall forgot she’s the Hive God of Vengeance? All that tithing we did in Season of the Witch to get the Ahamkara Egg. She has a Throne World.
13:33 "Press F to pay respect"
I believe that eris even though she expelled her hive god of vengence she could not fully escape from that title so I think if we performed something like oryx and his siblings have done to revive each other we won’t see her again
Hear me out, taken subclass right at the end of the episode
Seeing as Vengeance is the whole theme, Eris- In my mind - is likely shaping up to become the Hive Queen of Vengeance. That or the Taken Queen. I mean, she’s on her Throne World and obviously something’s snapped due to her weird behavior.
Just a thought.
Either she’s laughing cuz she’s surprised that she had a throne world or Xivu some how hijacked her body and throne world and that’s why she’s laughing
More like surprise, I mean she did feel her chest upon realizing she's still "alive"
So if Eris story ends that's another storyline I don't need to continue playing the game for. Sweet freedom.
Haven't started my "Act 1" play through yet....but wow.
I think eris could have equal claim to both oryx’s throneworld given where she died but also Xivu Arath’s because she’s the one who severed it. I also can’t help but think this might be the start of the dark future, that the exo stranger, Elsie Bray, warned us about.
I think it might be her own as the symbol on the floor is the same one that is on her chest
Man, I sure hope she gets any abilities beyond what's essentially alchemical witchcraft.
Probably wasn’t Xivu we thought we saw at the end of the trailer, it was Eris at a side profile.
I'd do anything for my chaotic aunt and uncle.
If it turns out that wss Eris's Throne World, I have a theory that since we get a: Hive navigator set;
What if Eris learns to turn her Throne World inside out & take's over the Dreadnought & it becomes our ship & what we use to travel beyond sol
Interesting looking episode so far, might get back the game after skipping the last two episodes tbh
I wonder what the Lightblade is doing in the story ? If im not mistaken we dont kill his ghost in the strike. I hope he plays a role in all of this
Anyone else get some strange voice lines during the Nether activity from a voice we haven't heard before? I got one talking about "thunder gods" or something like that I was caught off guard and didn't get a chance to hear the whole thing. Wondering if anyone else has heard it?
If the writers have any sense we should be about to bring about the dark line from the strangers stories.
Haven’t watched the globe video but based off of what you guys have seen. As a veteran who’s played from D1 up to final shape and stopped. Is it worth coming back?
I wonder if she can be brought back like the taken king did with his sisters
Is that Eris? Or did Oryx take her body? Oh nvm, she went to her throne world. That’s a slick way to cheat death since she lost her ghost all those years ago on the moon
Drifter crying make me cry up
if we don't get the taken colored shader this act imma finally pull up on bungie
No shit captain obvious, we all watched the video
Eris is going to be in Xivu Arath thrown world as she removed/took Xivu Arath's power and connection to it in the season of the witch, if not then it would the Eris own thrown world but the looks of it she didnt know she had created it, hence why i think its Xivu Arath
I'm pretty sure it is eris's throne world since the symbol on the floor is the same symbol on her chest
She’s on the moon still, she’s clearly fine………please bungie do something to keep us immersed in the story in future. Takes you right out of the moment
So is this episode back to weekly time gating the story?
I keep getting the same dialog every time I go to orbit.... Listened to it about 2 dozens times now. Bungie also made a statement saying there's dialog from xivu that's missing 😳
HUH
@shermanpeaslee658 yea, a message popped up on my monitor about xivu when they turned the servers back on. They said they turned everyone's close caption on so you don't miss the dialog since the audio is missing. At that point, I already finished this week's content... Maybe I'll see it if I run another character through
The Dreadnought is cursed for real , first Sagira now Eris . Who of the main cast dies on this damn ship next ?
Drifter had known Eris for like 800+ years. I would've weeped as well, if Eris owed me 100,000 glimmer & never paid, lol, poor Drifter, now who's going to cook for him Hive stew?
Just curious, how would someone gain points to increase reputation ranks besides just doing the nether arena?
I dont think u can? It says under the Rank bar how u will upgrade It and its from Heresy Activities. So The Nether.
When Eris got her hive God powers she created a throne room. Probably wasn't sure how to do it so she maybe assumed she couldn't create one. And now she's confirmed that she did which is why she laughed maybe 🤔
I am not sure it is her throne world but Xivu's throne world. I thought Eris said it was her's now in Season of the Witch.
Why did they nerf drifter?
We didn't bank enough motes
@@theGzusManlmao
cus he is a white men
What not using light for literal centuries due to not trusting his ghost does to a light barer:
@@Ace-Intervention I was thinking more along the lines of darkness. But good point all the same.
I was shocked at the cut scenes and kinda got me hyped for this season, but what is kinda disappointing and taking me a bit out of it is the missing dialogue in a conversation, but that’s not the voice actors fault
Yeah I feel actually sorry for Taken now. They made wrong lightbearer angry.
So if the Guardian gets his own Throne World ,how big it is?
And will that be our housing system .....
I honestly cried for like 10 mintues even though i know she can revive. Like the adrenaline i felt to save her and she died in drifters arms was enough to make me ugly cry 😭😭😭😭
