- Several weeks ago I made a video regarding sawdust around the sawmill. Many of you gave me some fantastic ideas and some great suggestions. A company named BASE CAMP noticed our videos and suggested that we try one of their masks. I agreed since it is a need that I have and many of us have and here are the results in this video.
Here is a link where you can purchase the masks.
Additionally, we're excited to offer a 10% discount for your audience. Simply use the discount code "Bigelow10" at checkout on www.bcmask.com/

Hey Jerry , very nice review on the BaseCamp mask . 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Del. I'm happy with them.
Looks like the perfect solution to dust. It's been on my mind since the first time you brought it up. Thanks for the solution. Rick.
Thanks Rick. We are immersed in dust around the mill. I too think it's a nice fit.
Fantastic demonstration and review, Jerry! We're thrilled to see our BASE CAMP mask performing so well in your workshop.😄
Thank you for trusting us. It's a great fit for our application.
They certainly look a good mask for any particulates from construction backgrounds. I am forever picking sawdust clumps from my nose.
Maybe worth looking at these in the UK also 👍
@@everydaywithmenick Thank you! We can ship to the UK, provide customs clearance (no tax fee), and deliver to your place.
Been using Base camp masks for years now and they're one of the best and lightest I've worn.
That's great to know. Thanks for your input.
That mask is just the ticket mate, free too. Summer here as well, living the dream my friend. Life is good!
It's much better than what I was using for sure. Thank you and stay cool.
Yup. Good video. I keep a mask on the dash of my truck. Excavating work is a dusty mess usually. You can get some real nice road bricks in the nostrils if your not careful. Lol.
Road bricks 😂. It seems to work pretty well. Thanks
That will definitely give you the right protection for the job! Best way to check if the fit is right is to breath out and listen that the valves are opening, then you know it's a good seal.
Great tip. Thanks Tim. It feels pretty solid.
Those look awesome! Just the kind of company ya want reaching out to you for a colab!! Something that fits the channel! Good for you Jerry great review!!👊🏻
Thank Todd. I was just discussing sawdust and boom it worked out. If it didn't fit it's not worth sacrificing your standards for it.
These masks are much better than what I was using. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching.
Good video Jerry, you’re a brave soul blowing your nose on camera 😂. Looks like a nice mask, I don’t have compressed air at the mill.
It’s still in the upper 90’s here too.
Stay cool buddy
Good morning Mike. My wife just shook her head when she previewed the video lol. Today it's 63. I'm freezing lol. Thanks buddy. Have a great week
@@BigelowWoodcraft I’m jealous, it hasn’t been below 70 here at night. Supposed to get storms tonight and break the heat
Wow thats awesome a company reached out to you and provided you with some PPE. The mask looks a better solution rather than the bulky over the face masks etc.
I am definitely guilty of not wearing a mask and the amount of wood bogies is unbelievable. I can litteraly pull a log out sometimes 😄 i need to wear something sometimes.
Awesome review and i hope they serve you well brother. Better late than never for safety buddy 👍
That's right. I've been going way too long not using a mask. These are comfortable and I'm just leaving them at the mill and using them during clean up. When you're young you don't think that anything bad will happen regarding accidents, or hazards. Now that I'm older I'm seeing some of those decisions are coming home to roost...knees, hips, hearing, lungs etc. Like you said never too late.
Thanks buddy.
@BigelowWoodcraft your telling me, I was cutting fibre glass insulation the other day and I forgot a mask and I did it anyways. I was sneezing very bright orange snot for the rest of the day, it wasn't healthy for me that's for sure.
I should start to look after myself a little better.
@@everydaywithmenick and fiberglass is the worst. I'm watching your video right now. Your battery is about to fall... oops there it goes lol
@BigelowWoodcraft yes it is, my arms were itching for the rest of the day that was for sure.
Yes I need to 3d print a battery holder for that thing 😆
That looks similar to the RZ mask I bought to wear when using a wood lathe. Problem is, it doesn't allow glasses to sit on the bridge of my nose, and, with bifocals, that's a problem.
I noticed that. My sunglasses were ok but like you said my readers didn't fit as well. Thanks for the comment.
Be careful blowing your nose that hard. At this age we can't afford to lose any more brain cells.🤧
Very true lol
