A nice sweeping of the Cubs by the Braves, A.J.Smith Shawver pitched a very good game for 3.1 innings and the funny thing about it for me is that was the first time seeing him throwing the ball in the high 90's and even hit 100mph, somehow that escaped me in his previous outings, and the Bravos clinched home field advantage throughout the post season, so with 3 games left in the regular season nothing to shoot for now but the team HR record needing 3 to tie and 4 to set the record, GO LOS BRAVOS!!!!!!!!!
Strider still needs 3k's to beat Smoltz record.

This team is just historically INSANE this year. U gotta love it as a Braves fan lol. Home field for us all postseason & Olson breaking the franchise single season RBI record in the same night. Gotta love it.
It was nice to see the young pitchers get some game time in especially Kyle Wright...if we can get him back to where he was last year that would be awesome. Now we have home field throughout the postseason! 🙂👍

Sweeping the cubs was almost as sweet as watching Dansby Swanson hit into a double play to end what could have been a threatening inning. Brought a smile to my face and my middle finger to the screen when they showed his disappointed face .
I loved swanson but i also love Arica but he went to the cubs for his grandfather who was a life long cubs fan so cant hate the man he loves atlanta

+ A.J. Smith-Shawver did a Relatively Good Job Tonight, but his early removal left me a bit concerned. He Finishes with 3 2/3 Innings of 1 Run, NO-Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 2. Unfortunately, he gets a No Decision due to not making it through 5 Innings, Meaning he remains at 1-0, but his ERA did drop to 4.26. Nothing looked terrible, and the Run Allowed is easy to forgive. Hopefully his Early Removal wasn't due to Injury.
+ Bullpen did Good as well, Bending but never Breaking! 4 Pitchers combined to FINISH the Final 5 1/3 Innings, Allowing 2 Runs on 6 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out 8. KYLE WRIGHT gets his First Win of the Season in Relief, Pitching 2 1/3 Innings of 1 Run, 3 Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 4. Rasiel Iglesias the his 32nd Save, Pitching a Clean 9th while recording 1 Strike Out. A Nice Night all around!

The Braves' Offense did all their Scoring Early, though finished with a 2-11 with Runners in Scoring Position and Leaving 6 Men on Base.

He would get lit up like a Christmas tree during the post season. He’s a year away from being a possible starting rotation pitcher for the Braves.
He showed me more in this game than in his previous ones but he needs more time & experience to really be able to know if he can do what he did in a full outing.

AJSS and Schuster are a good two seasons from being starting rotation material. This is Elder's first full season. He's got the stuff to be good, just gonna have to adjust.
