WE thought machines would steal our jobs is this the next chapter or should it be something we embrace? There are things humans cannot do, there is plenty they could do that would benefit mankind.
Well this is a glimpse of the future of humanity, and how we are going to.cope with unresolved issues.. Robotics is the future... These are the 'things' that will come and do alll the things that us human beings don't have time 2 cope with. A trustworthy nanny and housekeeper. Firemen. Messenger. Running errands, security guards. And would probably be THE solution to travel light years away into the next universe, something that we human being would never be able 2 do..
Robots won't take over human functions. Uncanny valley. You're right about dangerous things and space missions. But the robots won't look like this, they'll look like the ones Boston Dynamics produces.
TropicalPriest my guess is they will actually look how they need to to suit their purpose, if they work in a mine, factory or space there is no reason for them to look human, but if they treat with people specially being nurses or nannies, as displayed in the show they would have to look more appealing to humans not necessarily, supper realistic, but in a way that we would feel comfortable, in Japan there are already hotels run by robots
Great series. The story was about autistic robots showing more human emotions and warmth than your average upper-middle class English family from Greater London. Quite a challenge.

The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Westworld truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Arnold's existential catchphrase "These violent delights have violent ends," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Nolan's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Westworld tattoo. And no, you cannot see it.
