Mike - Great video. The railing is going to be a great touch to the mini-cabin. As soon as you began to hint at the fact you had reasons for wanting to walk in town, the first thought that came to mind was that you had a nice level surface to walk on (sidewalk) so you didn't twist your ankle. During the daylight walking the trails would be good (although lots of distractions if you're trying to get some think time in). I do my best thinking in the shower for some reason. I have had more good ideas come to me there, than any other place. As someone said in one of the other comments - "Different strokes for different folks." Blessings to you, Melissa, and the family. Hi Hunter - It's great to see you and Archie becoming great friends.
isnt nice to be able to cut whatever you want. I love it, I have had my woodmizers for 23 years and I am still learning I have cut over 2 million bd.ft. and each log is different. Its like opening a present every time.I am retired now but I still fire it up now and then. I love your channel and look forward to every show. Have a day.
Love the new little guy and I agree with Scott (People don’t understand how difficult it is to relax on your own land.) I have a small place and I still spend all my time looking at what I have yet to do. Relax elsewhere.
Good to Hunter showing up a little more often. I really like the natural look of that red pine but that stain really makes it POP. Cant wait to see the first hunting trip in the mini cabin. Stay well, say hey to the family and yall HAVE A DAY 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello to you and yours. It is great that Archie is so intuitive to Hunter. Archie can be trained to know when Hunter wants to good or let’s say needs to go on a trip to get his favorite place to eat. Try taking Archie with Hunter on the truck ride. There are a lot of other things that Archie can be trained to do in what Hunter need wants and general health
Good morning, Morgans:) Finally warming up here in eastern Canada. Americans sure work hard...exercising before the sun is up, work all day, then work all evening. You guys are an inspiration. The railing around the deck on the cabin is really nice. Thanks for another great video.
You seem to handle comments well. I don’t always read the comments but just this morning one individual was recommending a mid railing in your new hand railing while another was saying they were “to close, going to look like a wall”! Blessings!
Mike, Bob here. Love everything you do. I'm an avid woodworker with an incredibly well equipped shop. When I saw you guys putting up the rails and pilasters it hit me once again, you guys would love to have a Laminate Trim Router. They are usually inexpensive, and take the 1/8" roundover bit. They come in 3/16th etc also. It would make an incredible difference in your projects. No more splinters grabbing on to sharp edge rails etc. Takes about 20 seconds to run the edges on a rail. I didn't see one with the cordless option, there may be but I didn't see one. The DeWalt (that you guys love) in the plug in model is $101. If you step up to a slightly larger general use router instead with a 20V round battery head is only $162. That one takes roundover bits and all kinds of heavier duty bits as well. No more sharp cut your hands on the edges projects. You can dance over the top of the handrails in this project and love it. You could do both sides of all of the handrails in 10's of seconds; it's that fast. No effort at all. Melissa is going to want to adopt it as her favorite tool. The beauty maker. If you would see what an incredible job it does in no time and really makes it look like a finished piece. Here is the link to it at Amazon. This is Amazon's choice in DeWalt routers. This is a lifetime tool you will get crazy amount of use out of for lots of different things. There is no other single tool that creates an incredible difference in the finished look/finesse to all of your projects. It's the Dewalt 20V Max XR Cordless Router. amzn.to/2TlxDi7
Mike, your health and piece of mind can't be underestimated as you never know what may be waiting for you around the corner of life, I am about 10 years up on you and have been pretty fit and active all my life but recently I have had to take a couple of steps back and would like to let both you and all your male subscribers know something that may very well save their life. Since the age of 50 I have had regular yearly blood tests for a whole range of things nothing specific as I said pretty healthy, my GP after the last lot of tests wanted a chat about my PSA level (2.2 to 3.00) he advised me that my age 62 I could be 5-5.5 and could have just left it to next years test and see. He made arrangements for me to see a specialist who conducted a DRE ( index finger exam) didn't like what he felt and sent me for a special MRI the results were not good, then had an Ultrasonic Biopsy that revealed extensive cancer of the prostate. I need to note that I had not one symptom not one issue that would have alerted me to anything being wrong, I opted for a Radical Robotic assisted Prostatectomy complete removal. Luckily I had a great surgeon and after a 5.5 hour operation was greeted by him in post op with the news that it was like a hand grenade with the pin pulled, had my GP not recommended I see the specialist I would have been dead in 6 months due to metastasized cancer. I watched my Father die of this same situation over a 9 month period and would never wish that on anyone, so the message is get tested get a baseline, have a DRE 30 seconds of discomfort or embarrassment is nothing believe me. Your family will thank you for it, I am 3 months post op and the outlook is good life's a bit different in some ways and I will have to deal with that as it happens. Don't think that just because you are young it wont effect you the poor bugger in front of me at the specialist was 23 and it was too late for him. In Australia breast cancer gets a lot of attention as it rightly should but more than 3500 men a year die of prostate cancer here and nothing is said! Sorry for the long winded story but if someone reads this and gets tested it may just save their life, keep up the great work you two cheers.
I have to tell you I always find myself wanting longer videos from you, I just enjoy what you are doing so much, good job keep it up, oh and say hello to Hunter.
Not to worry about Archie and the mud. Any true Golden Retriever loves a good mud bath, especially if he has an nice older sibling like Piper to show him how it's done!
I get it Mike you get away from things that are distractions. I hope you start walking every day. It's good for you buddy and we want you around for many years to come. God bless
Good video Mike and Melissa. Archies little buddy “Hunter” is watching out for him and “COACHING “ him on their walks, that’s awesome!! You all are doing a great job around there. Thanks so much for sharing. Fred.
Hey Mike...its called freedom...walk where YOU want to walk. Don't sweat others and what THEY think you should do. Think and enjoy for yourself. Do your thing man. Let the others go walk in the woods. If that is what they want to do great. Different strokes for different folks. No way to please everyone. LET FREEDOM RING 🇺🇸👍
Wow I remember a comment I made a year or more back saying you should try star bit screws! I see you are. Much easier. Seems funny the history on your channel... love it.
When my wife and I go walking on our trail, she asks me sometimes why am I walking so slow? I am making mental notes of all the things that need to be worked on!
Mike, first of all, we love seeing your town, which is a great picture of "Main St. America," especially during holiday season, local parades, etc. Your getting out and walking at "oh-dark-thirty," for you health -- physical and mental -- has inspired me to do the same. Two miles in a little over half-an-hour is good aerobic pace, by the way. Good on you.
Nice job!! Railings can be fun! The puppy seems to be adapting really well!! Love how Hunter is taking control!! Hey Hunter!!! Have a day!! STAY SAFE!!
WELL DONE AS USUAL , FINE DAWN PATROL , SO NICE TO SEE MR HUNTER AND HIS NEW SIDEKICK ARCHIE . MISS M ALWAYS LOOKS GREAT OUTSANDING SMILE BRIGHT INQUIREING EYES . HAVE A DAY GOD BLESS
Great job on the railing Mike. I like to leave a minimum of overhang on the inside of the top rail to allow one to grasp the handrail with one's thumb, it also improves the look of the handrail. Good video, thumbs up.
Archie is full of himself good on you Hunter great save from getting muddy. Mike are you sure your not a carpenter? Thank you for sharing your video with us. Hello Hunter. Ed Mike good point about walking your trails at home turn an ankle or fall and nobody would find you right away.
I agree with you we live in country and we walk on country paved road with no traffic other than the few who live on our road. The trails we have are nice but are ankle breakers if you are trying to keep a workout pace.

Those clamps are the best help you can get they never complain

The little Cabin is really coming along nice !!! Good to see Hunter , Archie looks like the perfect fit for the family !!!

Another great video from the Morgans. Hunter and Archie make a great team!
I have to tell you I always find myself wanting longer videos from you, I just enjoy what you are doing so much, good job keep it up, oh and say hello to Hunter.
That was a nice piece of lumber to saw into little pieces. But like you always say there is a lot more where that came from.
Not to worry about Archie and the mud. Any true Golden Retriever loves a good mud bath, especially if he has an nice older sibling like Piper to show him how it's done!
Looking good so far Mike . I try to walk every day except I walk at night . Nice and peaceful and nobody around .
I get it Mike you get away from things that are distractions. I hope you start walking every day. It's good for you buddy and we want you around for many years to come. God bless

Railing looking good mike. Archie is going to be a great dog. Have to live the little guy. Makes you want to give him a big ol hug 😁
It’s always nice to be able to work out in the morning. I think it wakes me up more. The railing looks great. Keep up the good work!
Hi to all and great to see Hunter.
Mike it's looking great. And who cares what people have to say about you walking in town it's your life not there's. Have a day Bob

I thought he was gonna say the reason for walking at that time in town is because of this fantastic diner that's open and serves an amazing breakfast.
Good luck with that in PA.
B Laquisha Obviously never eaten at Ritter’s in Pittsburgh or Ruthie’s in Ligonier.

Hunter was giving Archie the "Get along little doggie" nudge.
Mike I think you can save yourself some work. The balusters can be 4" apart on center.
Glad to see you getting that railing up.....that has concerned me. Good morning Morgan’s. Thanks for starting my day on a positive note.
Mike, You do Good work
It sounds like Hunter is great with the puppy and if he really wants to could be a good dog trainer
Lions and tigers and bears! Oh my! A walk in the woods can be tricky first thing in the morning.
Hello Morgan's , it's a beautiful sunny day here in Manchester, U.K. Love your channel,
Why not England
Good morning. It's another rainy morning here in Iowa.
Hi Hunter 😊😊💝💥💥🌎👍👍
Walking is the important part here, it doesn't matter where, although in daylight, the woods are MUCH better.
Mike please use carriage bolts on the vertical boards top and bottom, for safety
Just the 4x4s on the corners, good thing you don't have a building inspector to approve your railing. 🦀
Loving the videos. I think I’ve watched over 300 of them now. I hope you keep making them for some time! 👍
Well done Hunter ! My 8 year old puppy still loves to play in the puddles.

I´t doesn´t matter where you walk as long as you get it done, good job Mike
I used 3/4 x 2 pine furring strips(grade 3 would be a generous grading) for the rails on my deck. Figured they would last 5 years at best. Surprised that most are at 12 years and replaced a few when wife and I cleaned and painted the deck last fall. It's all in the paint and maintenance: protect from weather and it will last. Also replaced a treated deck board with the "20 year" warranty...

Great start to the day!!
Mike, I noticed all that saw dust flying in the air, maybe consider using some filter mask, might prevent problems down the road. Just a thought.
All excited to see the finished cabin WOW looking great. And good morning from Evansville IN.
THE COOL HISTORIC STRAND THEATRE ,, WHAT'S PLAYING THERE MIKE !!
Good morning, Morgans. 😄
Great job on the railing!
