mmmmm i see what you mean, but i believe you are mistaking Vader for Anakin. Anakin cared for his fellow troopers, even though they where clones. Vader was already following emperor orders. On episode IV we no longer use clones, we recruit people non clones, and there is no mention from Episode IV and up about clones in the Empire, that must mean there HAS to be a reason that the empire stop using clones, its even said here 2:19 no more clones. I can only assume the emperor had no use for clones, what's Vader gonna do??? say NO to the Emperor?? thats his master, Vader is not strong enough yet to defy or overthrow his master so he will do as he commands.
I agree. If this had been Imperial Officers I would understand, we know Vader hates them because they haven't worked a day in their lives. But Vader always had respect for stormtroopers and Clones in his past life.
Clones wound up being reassigned to Kamino as instructors and were phased out slowly, I don't believe The Emporer would put out a kill order for Vader to kill effective soldiers needlessly.
Ian Chorne He mostly respects the 501 Legion, but yes he does have a little respect for the others as well but he saw this as a perfect opportunity to test his full powers without getting injured....
In context this makes sense, Vader has just had all of his limbs chopped off and left in a toaster oven by his best friend, his waifu is dead and he has recently fallen to the dark side, he probably has little to no ability to give a fuck about anyone else and just wants to destroy shit.

The fact that the clones were able to damage him at all is commendable
They were some of the best but he was unarmed at the same time
They would have probably killed him if he wasn't wearing armor. I mean sure the Jedi they killed during Order 66 were basically backstabbed but we can see Ki Adi Mundi fighting back and still dying, and he DID have a lightsaber, unlike Vader.
So he just kills a bunch of clones that are working for the empire for no reason...? What?

I've always found Vader's saber very interesting. It's a Jedi slayer it's been used to slaughter so many. I've honestly always wondered whether or not kyber crystals had feelings since they yeild so much power. Maybe a saber becomes darker and more powerful over the people it's been used to kill with
It turns out, if a colored Kyber Crystal is activated by someone influenced by the Darkside, it has a different ignition sound AND it ignites slower. As evidence when Ahsoka tried to attack Anakin in the Mortis Arc

In legends, Vader wouldn't have killed the troopers. He respected the clones and stormtroopers over officers because of their bravery in battle. This just makes Vader a soulless droid, when in Legends you sometimes saw the good in him

What goes against vaders character? Vader is a ruthless, merciless killer of everything and everyone he has no limits on judgement and whos innocent or guilty. If you fail or get in his way you die. Thats the way hes always been, he is not anakin skywalker. He stopped being anakin when palpatine gave him the title of lord vader.

I hate this story, if I'm honest. Vader respected clones, even if he was evil. I could see him doing this to non-clone Storm Troopers, not clones. But that's just me 🙌🏻
Keep in mind Vader was brand new he was very angry and very depressed at this point the dark side clouded his better judgement

I agreed with you at first it just seemed kinda random out of the blue but I also agree with bark woof here in that he was in a dark place (pun intended), BUT i think the writers did a poor job of providing any sort of supportive or emotional context to this... good story so far, poor execution

What I liked about Vader was his actions towards people around him. You can see in a new hope that he respected his troops, an example is when he gets the pilots and tells them to follow him. You can see he has respect for them. But at the same time, he would discard officials and officers. Vader had a disdain for authority, but loved the people who were loyal to him (storm troopers) (and as anakin his clones) I think this is a dumb comic story

No he kept HIS own 501 clones the ones that were with him during the clone wars the clones he kills off tend to be the ones that were not with him while also pointing he was enraged
those clones from clone war almost die out just few yeas later, and replaced by new clones,Vader insist his 501 remain mostly fett clones even most empire army are not. From Clone wars or not he still think the clones are the most loyal and the best to trust.hope he will be that complex Vader we knew few years later.

These clones did not know him. Vader was a new entity at this stage. They saw him as a threat and Vader saw them as a nuisance. I have not read this comic, but from the looks of it, the clones were going to destroy the Jedi records. Vader having a personal vendetta against the Jedi couldn't let that happen. He needed the information.

I think he was testing himself against a multitude of enemies. After all, it hasn’t been too long since his rebirth as Darth Vader.
So... Why in the world did Vader do this? Is it ever explained why he laid waste to these troopers? I remember watching the video about his relationship with his troops, where at one point in time he took a bomb for a group, and another he could've used his saber, but instead force lifted two storm troopers... What a walking paradox.
If I were to win a lightsaber though, it would have to be Vader's red saber.

I think that the Star wars theory videos could use some scenes or clips from the show or movies to actually see what they are talking about.
Vader was a monster, a murderer, and a man with little morals but he was loyal and to some extent honorable. He would not have randomly slaughtered good soldiers so needlessly. Vader killed with a purpose, and there was no good reason for this. Vader did not toy with those he found honorable which included the clones.
P.S. that sexy Kylo Ren rod would satisfy me like the others couldn't............wait.
