- Ms. Lauryn Hill (MLH) giving a speech in ATL: May 5, 2016 (I think...lol, I do know it was the first week in May lol).

Now, y'all fully understand why the music industry has rejected her
Wain DY yep because she promotes learning and as she put it "learning how/what to learn." That was a mouthful all by itself....what we are handed in schools should not be the sole source of our information. There is so much "Miseducation" of who we are as a people. Anytime someone wakes up and begins to spit truth, they try to shut that down real quick...Yet, the doors that God opens and the plans he has for us as his people can not be stopped. No matter how hard and long they try to stop it. God is waking his people up

The music industry didnt reject her, she decided that she wouldnt allow that environment to taunt, taint, mold, or shape her identity. She decided that she would use what God placed inside of her to be the architect of her own identity.

100% Lauryn Hill will forever be my absolute favorite female MC of all time! Her talent speaks for itself. She ain't had to show her ass in any clips because its the music and the message that resonates with people. Her rhymes are so thought provoking and intelligently pieced together. One of the realest sisters who doesn't conform to western ideals of beauty by bleaching her skin or using weaves and shit, she is pro-black culture and celebrates her ethnicity. That's whats lacking in modern HipHop today. The focus has now shifted to surgically enhanced bodies,materialism and excess as opposed to real shit which is what NWA,2PAC,BIGGIE,PUBLIC ENEMY,KRS1 and other artists from that decade were all about. The Miseducation album also falls into that same category making it a HipHop masterpiece and timeless classic. Not only can Lauryn rap she can also fucking singgggggg! or yeah nearly forgot, she can dance and act too! Dayummm........quadruple threat! I wish she stayed in the scene but then again, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes so maybe she did a Dave Chappelle and said "fuck you" to all the execs who wanted to take a different direction which would compromise her artistic integrity. True artists don't sell out for their craft!.......Still to this day, I can play her whole album without skipping over any songs! A real joyous experience not only for the ears but also for the soul. #Lboogie4EVA
what's so amazing is that the word play in the speech was highly thought out, which may not resonate with most of them. but she was unapologetic when she spoke with Articulation and knowledge and for the parents who were able to raise thier children with this understanding of linguistics was just treated to something extraordinary

She is BAR none, beside STEVIE Wonder, my most favorite artist n the planet, the greatest HIP HOP, Soulful Musical Artist of all time. I see the spiritual warfare that see is going through and I pray that GOD gives her everything she needs to be successful. She speaks to my heart with her powerful words of wisdom.
