Welp I have to follow in your footsteps now. Can't unsee that gap. Will be doing this. Those black CUP wheels look fantastic! Do you remember which spacer you ordered by chance?
It surprisingly changed the whole look of the car! I put the spacers in the description - they are cheap, but have worked great for me. I know there are some more stout options out there, too.
Just custom special order a wide rim and tires. Spacers some old cats use to use on old mustangs and stuff. A wider wheel package wheel help the performance better.
I'm getting these cup wheels installed on my C6 Z Monday. Of course you know they're 19's and 20's over the 18&19. A natural gap will be less with the new wheels and more uniform looking. I'm just concerned with rocks and debris being flung. Did you get wider flaps to protect the vette?
Awesome - they will look great! Yes unfortunately with the spacers, I do see more rocks flying. I haven’t gotten wider flares, but will likely do that or PPF on the rear quarters.
Looked like the original studs (even after you ground them down) were sticking out past the face of the spacer. Are you sure wheel mounted flush to face of the spacer?
Yup on the cup wheels there is a cavity where the original studs can go, it’s just not deep enough for the full stud. I’m not sure how other vette wheels are though.
Haha the rocks flying were bad before, now it’s really bad lol. I may do the widened splash guards so the rear quarters don’t get absolutely destroyed!
IMHO I think a simple lowering on stock bolts would have netted you a better overall look and without any cost or hacking your car up or having to worry about rock chips on the side of your car.
@@AJLoDato22 awesome! I just drove my first 2010 GS in Cyber Gray Metallic convertible home! Can we fit 20””/19” from a new gen instead? Maybe wider also? I need tires real bad so I’m looking at all options right now.
lol funny enough, I took off my front ones because I was getting too nervous with the carbon fenders. The rears I don’t worry about at all with the clearance.
I got mine from wheel spacer store. Definitely makes a big difference in improving the stance.
So far i am still a super fan of it!
@@AJLoDato22 beautiful Vette can I ask what rear spoiler you have?
@@bbc91camaro I actually bought it with this spoiler. i believe it's a carbon fiber GTC style spoiler.
Looks awesome
ohh good now i just need the car
You don't need to grind the studs. There's a big cavity for each stud on the back of the wheel.. just did this last week.
With 20mm spacers? I tried to put my wheel on and no dice
Can’t take a grinder to an expensive well designed sports car….😢

That’s the right way to do it. Just really wanted to keep these cup wheels
First of all the car looks great. My question is the rear wheels are 20 x? An the front rims are 20x?
Thanks! Here are my tire sizes for the exact wheel/tire specs: (F) 285/30/19 (R) 335/25/20
Maybe I said it wrong. I was looking for the size of the rims And thanks for the quick reply
@@antimpala1 Shoot my bad! 19x10 & 20x12
I don't want tire rub my stock ones rub in back just ordered wheels same as yours I believe

How you’re gonna have to upgrade the splash guards/aero to avoid having rocks flung ip the side of the car.. always a project!😂

It's always something. 😂
I will leave mine inside I like the look and that's how it will stay mine could go lower in back though
Yup or up sizing to 345’s to help with the wheel gap
@AJLoDato22 I bought wheels I will check out tire diameters
You like the look of wheels being inside the fenders? You high, blind or drunk?
@SY80s_ people talk tough on internet but in person they shut pretty much up lol and a face being smashed in is friggin fun

She already scrapes on everything, so I was hesitant to lower it any more. This look has been great for me.
It looks great! What model do you have?
Thanks! It’s a 2011 Grand Sport

Little too much I think 15mm works better
I think 15 would look really good, too
It does look chunkier
what tire size do you run in the rear ?
Rear: 335/25/20 Front: 285/30/19
no rubbing with the 20m spacers ?
@@sammehra7540 none on the rear at all. On the front I have a little rub.
Looks good. Can you give me the whole spec size on the back? Ineed to buy.A set for my c6, can you give me the numbers front and rear thank's
