Swamp runner is the only way to go when it comes to long tails. I run a 1448 Jon with a 16hp motor. I'm not winning any speed races but it gets me anywhere I want to go
The short sharp quack may sound like an alarm quack to a duck. Try making it more mellow. Your feed chuckle is good. Get a whistle for teal and Wigeon. I shoot lots of other duck species on the Snake.

Calling would help you for sure. Learn how to use that call your hunts will be better
