Did gore do the 4th and 5th one? If so WHAT HAPPENED??? The 4th and 5th where.....man just not great... the 5th was Kool visually.. but they turned Jack sparrow into a moron. And treated us like morons. Like with the whole compass thing. Tiadarma gave Jack the compass...not some dying captain...and all Jack nicknacks. He got them from his travels! Not some "tribute" from a bunch of pirates all at once..and the dam GIRL BOSS thing.... and the 4th one... was just not memorable. I remember just a few scenes. Idk... I feel like the first 3 are unrivaled.

Well, the compass could easily be explained. His captain got a hold of his compass sometime after he got it from tia dalma probobly. And she probobly didn't even describe to jack what it fully did knowing her character. As for his stuff, he only got a few as tribute not all of his stuff. Alot of the stuff he has can still be from his travels considering we again only saw a few nicknacks. And the girl boss wasn't really that annoying or anything but I do agree that the part of making Jack a moron did hurt but even that could be explained easily.
Yeah it was stupid that gore wasn’t brought back for the 4th and 5th, he really was the key to potc. Also 4 and 5 weren’t written by the same people, 1,2, and 3 were written by Ted Elliot and terry rossio, 4 and 5 were written by someone else. The biggest mistake 4 had was completely getting rid of will and Elizabeth, they were always the main characters, not jack, and getting rid of them just made the story not what it was.
