If you're not too concerned with which building you eat in the Diamond Horseshoe right next door has the exact same menu. Plus there's usually not much of a wait compared to Liberty Tree

Craig, my wife and I loved your commentary at the end of this video! We have felt for a long time that Disney is missing a huge opportunity to educate and celebrate our Founding Fathers and their fight for freedom in the Liberty Tree Tavern. Sure, they have some portraits and other memorabilia out, but that's it. It's very generic, and looks to be the result of minimal effort. We believe their cast members should be able to expand on at least some of the history behind the decor. You got that at the end of your visit and I bet you'll never forget it. We own a business, Philip Marc Sons of Liberty, where we have made this our mission - to educate and celebrate our patriotism and help others to do the same 🇺🇸 Thank you for doing just that on this video - we truly enjoyed it. Even if the mac and cheese was dry and boring 😉Side note - we dine at LTT often. We'll be back in our Happy Place the first week of December and my wife told me not to book LTT for this trip. After watching your video - we put it back on the list! I guess we're in the minority, but we really like the food there, even if we do leave needing a long winter's nap 😂

Great introduction and ending Craig! Ryno I believe we had the same waiter as you did and also saw the other waiter you also talked about. Our waiter was the worst we ever had there.

Nooooo I am so disappointed you all had such a disappointing time. LTT is ALWAYS my go-to for MK for sit down meal. I've gone back multiple times during the same trip because it's so good especially for the price inside the park. It could be just really bad luck on your experience, though the former manager who I adored retired. Occasionally the pot roast can be fattier than I like but that's rare to miss. My servers have always been excellent as well. I do agree they missed some opportunities with naming. Preamble, etc... hahaha!
Sorry to hear you three had a bad server and food experience. I will say that Liberty Tree is in a small list of restaurants that we will actually return to at WDW. Our family of 5 just went there a little over two weeks ago, and everything was fresh and had good taste (even the mac and cheese-seems like it is Velveeta but it was still at least average, my 14 year old had 3 servings of it). The pork looked different than what you had for some reason? Our pork was more like pork tenderloin shape. The salad dressing is one of our favorites not only at WDW but from all restaurants. I'm not sure what you are talking about with the vanilla ice cream quality, it seems fine for what it is and goes well with the dessert. I can't speak to any of the plant based or non dairy options. I think the majority of WDW guests will say if you are going to eat at MK, and have to please a wide variety of palettes, Liberty Tree is the way to go. Better luck next review!
The vanilla ice cream comment was weird to me too. It’s literally just regular vanilla ice cream that every restaurant uses to put on top of a dessert. Pretty standard stuff.
There was a time when the Liberty Tree Tavern was a fine dining restaurant. The food and service was so good. I remember the Yankee PotRoast which was amazing and for the 20th anniversary they had a special dessert that I still remember. Also - does anyone remember Mickey butter (butter statue) served with your hot rolls. Attention to details and service have gone away.

We went to LTT two weeks ago. We thought it was quite good and a decent value. We were actually surprised how good the Mac and cheese was.
The relaxed vibe and joking with each other makes this video awesome. You guys have been great recently keep it up!
LTT should specialize in pies for dessert. Apple and cherry available every day and specialty seasonal pies.

We've went to the Liberty Tree Tavern, twice, both pre-COVID (2015 & 2017-ish). When my wife & I went in 2015, the service was the worst we've ever experienced in any restaurant, on or off property, where we were completely ignored (I'm not even sure if we left a tip). The meal itself was fantastic. We went again in 2017, food was just 'okay' but the service was good. It's hit or miss at this restaurant.
I've never visited Liberty Tree but bow I'm not sure if I wanna try it after this review!!! Great Job bye these three!!! I can't get enough of this trio!!! They are so good together!!! I could watch them do a bathroom review!!!! Keep up the Super work guys!!!!
We went to Disney for 2 weeks last January. I was looking forward to this meal the most. And this was the one that let me down the most. I think we had the same server! He literally would walk away before we were done talking. He plopped the food down and would disappear for like 20 minutes. And then plopped the check down with the dessert and didn't come back for 15 minutes. However, this was a super fun video. Love watching these reviews.
Liberty Tree Tavern has always been a favorite of mine because I love Turkey and all the sides.
Having said that, I haven’t been in a couple of years.
It is always hard to get reservations so one thing to know is that, at least as of a couple of years ago, you could get the same menu at the Diamond Horseshoe at the other end of the block.
Right! Yiu can get the exact same menu at Diamond Horseshoe which is actually right next door not down the block (that’s Pecos Bills). Liberty Tree and Diamond Horseshoe share a kitchen.
Correct - however Liberty Tree really isn't a hard reservation to get anymore. I would say Skipper Canteen and LTT are usually the two that pop up right away at MK followed by Crystal Palace and BOG.

Ltt is one of our favorites. We loved everything we ate and make an effort to go back once a trip. Sorry about the bad service. Sounds like you caught them on a really bad day. Try again maybe at another time?
I have to say that I had the same experience with my server at LTT. We went for my 50th birthday and the server just very quickly dropped stuff off and left. Very little interaction. Quite a disappointing experience.

Back in the olden days, i went there for dinner with friends. This is back when it was Character Dining. Goofy, Chip, and Dale were there. It was towards the end of the night, and we were about the only people there. Chip & Dale just hung out with us, being crazy, dancing, and playing "bongo" on the tea bag box that was brought to the table! Then Goofy came over. We laughed until we were about sick! They all hung out with us for a half hour. So much fun. The food was better back then. Presentation was better. It's nice to have great memories there.

Just ate there with my family. Had a great experience and food was delicious. We go every time we come.

We ate at LTT in June ‘21 because my hubby loves. He also loves Bob Evans, which is what LTT is. But our server was John. He was absolutely extraordinary. Brought my hubby a boat sized serving of cranberry stuff. And got me entirely new hot mushroom gravy. So amazing we asked him about himself. We was on loan from the still shuttered V&A. And determined to make thenLTT experience “elevated.” Inspired me in my work to do the same!

Well, we always like the food there. So, everyone has their own opinion. The last 3 times we were there we had 3 great servers; I think they just got one of the bad ones. Let's face it, all restaurants have a few servers that could improve, they got that one. ha!
Yea I agree with you, liberty tree tavern is the one constantly pretty good restaurant in Magic kingdom, haven’t had a bad meal there yet so this must be a fluke
Everything is subjective. This was just our experience and I the service definitely had a big impact.
for Disney prices, every server should be at least great to above average. no duds allowed
@@Michael-yb5md As a long-time season passholder, you do expect exceptional customer service from all the Disney staff. Usually it is, but I have noticed in the last 10 years some things at Disney are not quite as good as it always was, such as service (once in a while), and upkeep of the grounds/equipment etc... never to use to look like anything except New. Used to everyone made you feel Magical anytime they spoke to you. But back then even our politics wasn't a hate-hate situation that we've revolved to. Too bad.
I agree with you. Not really reasonable to do, it would be great to go to places about 3 times and figure out what the overall experience would be. I could see 1 time leaving a bad taste about the restaurant. If I read all not so good things after 3 trips, I think I would pay more attention for sure. ha! Not reasonable, I know. And most would say, it's Disney, it should be excellent food quality & service each time. I get it. Thanks. @@DISUnlimited
Ate there in 2021. It was awful and the service was terrible. They sat us in the Golden Horseshoe. We would never go back. It was so unfortunate because I was really looking forward to it.

I can’t wait until you guys hit 55 and go back to Liberty Tree Tavern to fully absorb every unappealing, cafeteria quality, 45 cent calorie that will stubbornly adhere above and below the belt no matter how many attractions you walk to! Good show.
We ate at LTT years ago and enjoyed it both times. We have not been back in years. We went with my parents at that time, and we all enjoyed it. I will always remember those visits fondly. 😢 I will talk to my better half about going back next time we are in MK.
There is zero excuse for the chefs at any Disney property to not be able to pull off delicious dairy free mashed potatoes, stuffing and meatloaf, especially at those prices. It's pretty darn easy to do. If the home cooks of America who post their yummy recipes on Pinterest in the thousands can do it with no training, surely Disney's amazing chef team could rise to the occasion. Sorry Erika. You deserved better!!

Eric's stuffing looked like sweet potatoes😂 We ate here in 2017 and it was fabulous. In 2019, it had gone down and the service was quite bad. Gave it another shot in 2022 and it was so good with good service. Our son also eats the gluten free menu and he liked. Guess it's hit or miss. You guys are so funny😂 Love you all😊

We were there for the first time in October and the food was tasty. Agree on the Mac n cheese-not good to us either. Food is subjective-what I like someone out there won’t. However, with that we arrived on time for our reservation but waited for almost about /20 minutes until they realized we’d been sitting for a while. Server was a delight but the hosts kind of dropped the ball. Overall, we’d go back but wouldn’t be crushed if we couldn’t get a reservation.
I had the Ooey Gooey Dessert and the Spirit of ´76 Cider Shandy and a Vanilla Cherry Shake to that Feast was not bad either. luckily it was last year just $39,- for the feast, so it raised couple of dollars wondering how much Food will raised in the next 6 yrs til 2029 as long as the Dining Plan finally stays again will be fine but we will see if they stupidly change things again hope not.

Yes, it's been years, and with different personnel.
It’s possible the recipe has changed in the past year, but I have always liked the macaroni and cheese here. Most macaroni and cheese is too heavy for me with a very thick, crust of cheese on top. I like it here, because it’s lighter and without that crust.
We ate there in 2022 for Easter and we enjoyed it . We had a different pork tho . It was a sliced lean pork loin . It was very good . Didn't love the dessert but my daughter did . On the second round of plates we asked for all the gravies on the side . They were a little too salty for my liking but overall it was good !
I literally said it would’ve been a better platter with sliced pork loin.

Get the turkey dinner at Homecomin’! I had that last year on Thanksgiving and it was awesome! I’m pretty sure it was less money than you paid. 😊
We've eat there once back when the DDP was available. The food was ok but the server only cared about his tip. He reminded us each time he visited our table (four times) that the tip wasn't included with the DDP. It was very off-putting. Haven't been back since.
LTT is the 1st restaurant we ever ate at on our 1st trip to WDW in 2006 and we loved it…of course back then it was also a character dinner but each return visit it has kinda gone down our list of favorites…

Oregon has cranberries. We went to a cranberry candy shop and it was great. I usually don’t like jellied candy but their cranberry candy was excellent. Went with my kids years ago and this restaurant was great then. We walked up and got right in, it was an off hour. I usually don’t like that turkey but it was not dry at all. Mac and cheese was awful, looked the same as yours.
Hey Craig my wife and I ran into u and Ryno at pop handful years ago eating lunch behind pop. Talking to you it was brought up your grandpa was brought up in the big city of Lisbon ohio which has the Johnny appleseed festival every fall. I live 30 minutes from Lisbon in salem ohio. I actually knew the man who played Abe Lincoln every year at the festival. I have a Lisbon historical book I bought to give you if we seen you again but it never happened yet. We come down in November, I can try again..lol

....not me recommending Diamond Horseshoe because it is the total opposite experience. WITH holiday decorations (fall and Christmas!)
We had a similar experience this past summer - had it not been for the person at the end who pointed some things out to us it would have been the equivalent of a Piccadilly sadly. Our server was phoning it in 😢

Just wanted to make one observation about a comment Ryno made at the end about there not being music - I would think that would add to the authenticity, as there wouldn’t have been any music in such a tavern in the 18th Century. However, maybe they could have like, some other kinds of atmospheric sound effects in the background, as if a horses or Fife & Drum groups are passing by outside?
Unfortunate for you folks as our family continually patronize Liberty Tree on every visit ... We were there in August, 100 degrees out and really cool inside ... had a great meal, server and time ... one of the best meals we had ... ( Boat House / Art's were also good ) ... Ohana is a no go ... LTree is a bit rushed but not near like Ohana ... food is family style and comfort food , just what we were looking for ... $42 is actually reasonable for WDW and quality was good for us ... good luck in your next food review ...

I liked it there last Year was nice having for the first a Thanksgiving kinda Feast it rained as Hell on that Day so I was rushed from Riverboat funny thing to ride it getting wet on the Ride and people flew into their had to wait til I could get my dine since I was little bit earlier through that nasty weather.
So I liked it but I am not too judgeful on the Restaurants since for me it tastes anyways better than mostly I have here since can´t cook much so yeah of course some things somewhere I wouldn´t like but mostly the Food was everywhere good and there I don´t remember if something wasn´t tasteful there maybe.

Erica is right; lettuce is mostly water. It's why at our home we use spinach, which has some actual nutritional value.
My wife and I had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern on our 2013 trip. Lunch was wonderful; we shared a Colony Salad, a New England Pot Roast, and the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, and our server was wonderful. (Even more delightful, for us, was the fact that she was from Peru, like my father. ) So I find it unfortunate that your experience was less than satisfactory; sounds like it could have been improved, somewhat, with a better server.
The AK Lodge ones would be nice the one with the animal views was it Sanaa??? that I want to do definitely on my Third and possible final trip in few yrs.
Or the Space Restaurant, the Sea Restaurant with the Aquarium looks, some of the better Hotel Resort ones since some would be interesting. I ´ve aten in Ohana, Californian Grill in Contempo which has a Steakhouse something as well if I remember it correctly instead of the old Wave or so. Some Disney Springs ones maybe also not bad.
But at the moment have to check on Disneyland CA and DCA plus DTD ones which the best ones would be for my stay in 2 yrs. Couple of I think sounds good I have focus on but wondering if QS even are really mostly better than the ones in WDW or in general there are claims that the Food in at the West Coast are mostly better???

So we were just there on Wednesday. I think maybe what you are thinking was the pork, was the dark meat turkey. The pork was sliced, and looked very similar to the turkey. 😁 The sliced pork was super dry, but the turkey was not bad. I didn’t try the dark meat turkey, so not sure about that.
The thing with most Disney restaurants is that they aren’t actual “chefs” making this food. It’s just cooks. And it’s food that is easy to make. Either out of box of quick Mac’s & Cheese. Unless it’s a “fine” dining restaurant.
The service that you had at this restaurant is the same service I got when I ate at Brown Derby. It was awful, server saw us getting sat and immediately asked us if we were ready to order. I’m not joking!
I had the exact same happened to me as I was getting to order drinks he walked away. We only saw that server one time, we had to ask for the check to another server since we never ever saw our server again
I have a weird aversion to this restaurant and Ryno talking about the restroom reminded me why. No details, but it was another guest, not me...maybe it's just a little too much food for some people 😵💫

So interesting- I was there a month ago and had actual pork loin slices not shredded- wonder whose is the “norm”
Everyone is saying pork loin so I think we went on an off day where they cooked it so long it ended up shredded.
