Holy crap that paint job looks sooo good. Solid find. This L10 doesn't sound like other L10s though. Also i loved how the area has a rural feel. Nice vid man 👨
I've been wanting to watch this for far too long, excellent job. is this the only Volvo FL up there? I wonder if it's a regular route truck too. can't ever get tired of that sound, but it looks amazing too. I not only like the paint job GI apparently gave it, but the signboard and alcoas tickle my fancy as well. so long waste connections, I'm going to WM. jk
Thanks Scott! There’s a few other volvo wittkes (tri-axle) that get transferred between a lot of the yards up here as spares when needed. Glad you enjoyed the truck! Alcoas definitely give this truck a unique aesthetic. Honestly wouldn’t mind seeing you drive this truck if Atascadero is hiring...
Classic WM combo right here. Reminds me of the old fleet here in Los Angeles. Doesn't sound as throaty as other L10 trucks but still great. Also it's an original Wittke Starlight, can't go wrong with that.
Eli, you've done it yet again! First that 88 310 Pete and now this! That L10 sure sounds nice! And the best part? It's got an Allison HT740 automatic transmission behind it! Love the takeoff at the start, but I absolutely dig the takeoff at 5:03! That L10 doesn't growl like some of the older L10's do, but it still sounds great! And an L10 in a 1999 Volvo...that's a first! I'll tell you what, the L10 is a great engine, has lots of torque. If you haven't ridden in an L10 powered garbage truck before I'd highly encourage you to, you'll love the torque! Got any more footage of this truck? Also, got any more growling L10's on the way? You know dang well that the L10/HT740 combo is my all time favorite, all the trucks that came by when I was little had that engine/transmission combo in them!
Good to see this beast is still in terrific shape! The new logo looks great too, they must've only recently put that on. GI refurbished this one in May 2016 so the paint is looking really solid still. Such a good sounding truck and driver ran it well! Least it wasn't idle LOL. The split dumpsters were cool to see, I forgot they had any of those up there. How long did it take you to film this vid? I followed him for like an hour or so and barely got enough video lmao. Video turned out REALLY nice with the early morning darkness/sun rise, wanted to add that. Great job & thanks for getting some solid video of this truck!
WMmaster626 knew you’d like this one! I kinda dig the new signs on this truck, but would equally appreciate the classic ones. That’s pretty cool GI repainted this unit- I had no idea! Took me about an hour and a half to film this video all together, as most of his stops were pretty close together. Appreciate the comment!
Dude this sounds just like the Wittke make trucks that were a part of Rabanco up in here WA. So the engine is what gives the truck its specific sound? I am trying to find what engine makes the sound of the CCC/Maxon side loaders on my video in my channel. What engine do you think is in the CCC/Maxon side loaders? Most notably the ones first shown (not the older build later in the video)
Im no diesel engine expert, but my best guess would be that the first CCC Maxon side loader had a detroit 6L71 and the other one had a cummins L10 or Cat 3306
Solid ass find Eli!! Such a good looking and well run truck! cool to see it actually still running! Any other commercial trucks you saw that interest to you while waiting for this one? Also Didn’t happen to see your Prius in any of the shots, what gives?? Lmao.
Trash master Lucas thanks! I saw a Condor tri-axle Wittke that I got a clip or 2 of but the driver barely revved so it wasn’t terribly interesting. I got a tacoma now bro, hopefully you’ll get to see it soon :P
GarbageSean I’ll try FL in general is super hard to film for my area. I just got my first video up of one so if I’m lucky I’ll try to catch him in a spare.

Trash Man Daniel thanks dude glad you enjoyed the vid
Awesome I love these front loader videos.

Stuart Alvarez Glad you liked the truck! Guess it has to comply with Carb somehow lol.
Jesus fuck to see a WX Wittke from WM is fucking cool! A sight so common, now is an utter treat. Damn nice video! Really enjoyed it!
Damn Eli, you've done it again! Another great video!
Mendo Carts And Refuse thanks dude!

Waste Management of OC thanks!

SoCalGarbageTrucks whoa I’m already excited!!! What truck will it be?
@@GarbageSean You'll have to just wait and find out! It'll put this Volvo to shame though
SoCalGarbageTrucks oh man I’m hyped!!!

Why are the containers Republic Service Blue?? Never seen that at any WM location
Well it’s recycle dumpsters and there is no such paint color as republic service blue
We have a couple Volvo Fls left in our yard as well
Are they L10’s?
I hope they're L10 powered...
MidwestTrashTrucks Super late, sorry. But yes they are L10s. Sitting as spares
WMSacramento 7 you should film them out on route.

Cool 😀
anybody notice half the cans were empty? and some had very little stuff lol guess he doesn't need to dump
David Schieler he’s just doing a thorough job
Cool trash truck
