I honestly didn't think I would like these types of videos, but to see a bunch of parts turn into this MASSIVE lego creation...Cool!
If you play with this set quite often, I would suggest rebuilding the entire bucket wheel arm including the gearbox, and the superstructure every once in a while and check all of the gears.
We have giant bucket wheel excavators near my town! I got it on tape!😁
Just bought this set, had it done within 14 hours with some rest, and built along with my friends, i can only say that this massive set brings a lot of satisfaction after it is complete =)

Great video. Now I see what people who comment on this set mean about how under-powered the single motor is for the sheer size and the length of the linkages. As big as the transmission is, you could probably figure out a way to put in a second motor for more power.

It’s a terrible set. I know from experience. After a few months it just stops working. There isn’t anything you can do about it, so it would just sit there, being a waste of time and money. If you don’t believe me, that’s fine. You have been warned.

Anyone remember when this was the biggest Lego set in the world
I began to build this & I just finished bag(s) #4. I am seeing that the wheels/tractor treads no longer turn/rotate. I obviously messed up somewhere. The other gears turn fine, just not the treads. First, Is that normal or should they turn like the other gears turn? Is there an "easy" way to remove to remove this step from the pedestal so I can see what happened? or do I need to do a complete tear down?

It's a great set, but you should build it very carefully. I have made a mistake, and now mine moves in the opposite direction than it should

What do you think which one is more intresting during building, more complicated, more functional and give more oportunity to build something new in the future. Which you like more and recommend? This is not for a child😁

I have one and I was really disappointed by how extremely slow it is, so I built my other version with my brother that uses less energy and goes much faster
