The first flight KQ003 from JFK Airport to Nairobi landed earlier today. DP William Ruto was present at the airport to receive the flight.

Really? Unless this is a figure of speech, Embraer 190 is a short to medium range aircraft. I highly doubt if It can do a journey of 15,000 kms non-stop.
Simon Ombwayo, check again the vidéo, the plane on short final (not the one taxiing in), is obviously a small aircraft - like the E90. Look at the tiny engines and the main landing hear to understand better :)

no wonder we are poor, cause our minds are poor as well. look at what is happening with, police band, president, his vice, news channels and many other top government officials. just because of a flight going to america?? na mlipozindua ya kwenda dubai ama Bombay india? mli dance hivi? can you tell kenyans budget imetumika kwa hii shughuli ya airport? it is an achievement alright but is all the drama necessary. we look so desperate for america while we know majority of our tourists are Europeans. unfortunately, most people in america who are further from newyork will continue to go through Amsterdam, London, or middle east cause its cheaper that way. kq must work with other american airlines to establish a connection in new york otherwise bado kazi.

Steve its achievements like this that gives you the platform to compete or attract investment in a country and jobs will be created and so is economy to have bettter facilities in terms of infrastructure if the Uhuru and his government put the resources to proper use. think out of the box and look beyond your nose because Uganda s brand beyond its boarders is still Iddi Amin Dada and you think we re happy about that s.one in the west thinking Uganda is Ghana
