Duke, my friend, I watched this video in its entirety. It's amazing how your spoken words in this video are limited, yet you still managed to keep my attention. That's something only you could do!
I used to go to New Orleans frequently when I lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I loved the French Quarter. Sorry you were uneasy. I prefer East Fremont to the tourist area.
I saw the red slipper. Reminds me of the slipper that used to be in front of the Silver Slipper casino that used to be on the Strip. I really liked that place. Closed on my birthday in 1988. James Hatland
I highly recommend you go no further than a little past the old Western Casino. From that point on it gets a bit sketchy and seedy. I personally have trekked much further East than that on many occasions and totally enjoyed it. For the life of me I can not tell you why! In a way it's like tempting fate!
Duke I hope you are armed! I walked that area once and the only busy business was a place homeless men were selling plasma. I wish that was a joke but it is not.
So when would you say these motel's heyday would have been, with fairly normal people filling them up every night. As many as there were, there must have been a lot of business at some point. That must have been a good time, compared to now. Are these ever coming back or is the whole place basically a goner?
That is a great question Sir! Perhaps these people wear masks in order to comply with the Nevada Governor's tyrannical mandate or perhaps out of fear of catching the plague. I don't really know.

Thank you for the compliment and intense observation Sir! "The Dark Duke!"
Nothing like an evening walk down Fremont Street. Just wonderful.
Great comment Sir! Salute!
Thanks for the small tour of your town. Till next we meet ❤🤍💙🥃💀
Thank you Sir! Salute!
I think this is a great video. Longer videos are better. Salute
Thank you Sir!
This made me uneasy watching, reminds me of when I went to New Orleans by myself and went out on bourbon street, eerily quiet after midnight

Great story my old friend!
Gonna call you tomorrow about Wayne Newton. My family are neighbors and friends from Phoenix. He was young
ONG That looks like Where the Blue Angel Motel used to be by Eastern
How Far East past the Fremont Street Experience is it safe for tourists to walk at night? Thanks for any input

Thank you!
Hope to see you sooner than later Sir Duke💖💖🎩 . Salute..
I would say that street more closely resembles most places in the USA right now more that places like the strip. The strip is the illusion .
Great point, illusion is a great choice of words!
I would love to see the buskers.
Duke I hope you are armed! I walked that area once and the only busy business was a place homeless men were selling plasma. I wish that was a joke but it is not.
Great comment Sir! Thank you for your concern!
i was thinking that too

Thank you for your comment Sir! The heyday of this area was long before my time. I do not believe the area will ever return to it's former glory.
I'm sorry duke, I assumed Fremont Street was more residential than I thought!
East Fremont is somewhat blighted as you can see Sir!
I trust you were dressed casual!
I don't understand why you would walk the streets of Vegas at night? Especially Fremont in that area. Lol
I don't either Sir!
Why does everyone have masks on !

You had bouncers walk behind you when you film this cuz you would never walk there alone you're a nice old feeble man
No bouncers Sir! I always roll solo even as a feeble old man!
