Plant those extra sumacs you’re going to pull from the south garden into some big pots! Once they’re contained, you can have that amazing fall color wherever you want it in the garden! And with their shallow roots, you don’t have to worry about them escaping the pots you put them in. 😉

The Bobcat certainly has made your life so much easier. I did not want this episode to end.... I could have watched you plant all day. Your gardens are just beautiful and can't wait to see them in full bloom. And your grass! So green and beautiful . Thank you for the nice start of my day😊

Beautiful cedar trees! I really want one. 😍 And I have a confession, the other day when Laura planted a larch, I thanked for the inspiration to plant trees I never really bothered to look more closely at. Today I’ve just planted a larch too. 🤣 Copy cat gardener - I know!
I even have Golden rain trees started from seed just bc of that beautiful tree beside the brick patio. 😊
Even if my garden is microscopic compared to Laura and Aron’s, even if my budget and assortment here in Sweden is much more sparse, I have a ton of plants and small pockets of garden beds that are inspired from Garden Answer. I’m so so thankful. ❤

They look so beautiful through the camera, but I am sure it is nothing in comparison to what your eyes see in person!♡ In MN, our lilacs are just getting ready to burst into bloom... always ready by Mother's Day.♡ I planted 3 Miss Kim lilacs last year near my front door. They survived the winter without trouble and are full of buds.

One of our neighbors back yard is less than a half an acre. But, I believe it was the original owners of the house planted two Plane trees in that yard. Those trees are massive! And I've never seen a tree with such huge leaves! They do provide great shade. However, I've noticed that they have a lot of surface roots. And constantly drop small to medium sized branches and twigs with just the slightest breeze.
The leaves thatfall and blowinto our yard, though huge, are easily mulched and mowed up by our mower. So not really a problem. But the constant dropping of branches which also fall into our yard are quite annoying. And their surface roots have made their way under the shared fencing into our yard as well.
But, they do provide a ton of shade.

Have you ever considered putting in brick edging amongst the formal flower garden? What about using a larger brick for extra height to hold in a thicker layer of mulch? Vertically placing the larger bricks for an even higher height? And what about integrating quite a lot more large boulders among your various beds to bring continuity from the pond area to the rest of the section? It would help to create more of a natural wild life area which could include tortoises and other native animal dwellers? Experiment? Have you been kite flying with the children during spring yet? Front lawn is perfect!

Good morning everyone! Bobcat made easy work to plant those trees which are gorgeous. I love lilacs and linden trees, roses, hydrangea, calalily, cosmos, whipping willows, honeysuckle.....they take me back to my childhood.
    Blessings 🙏🏻💞

Good Morning! 🪻 That poor tree. All those trees are gorgeous! I love watching the new tractor, especially when the auger is digging those holes! Using that auger sure makes life a lot easier! Like you, I do love pine trees & lilac bushes! 🥰😃🚜🌲🌿💜💚

The trees are beautiful....I was watching Wyse Guides gardening channel and he was planting evergreens as well...I thought of Aaron when Caleb said always plant trees 4 to 6 inches high above ground so tops of roots get oxygen.

an azalea expert I was talking to once said, "remember, trees grow ON the earth, not UNDER it!

On the first tree planting, I heard the Bobcat make a noise that sounded like “Yaaaay!” Perfection!

Can never go wrong with evergreens! I LOVE the weeping Alaskan Cedars, too! And it does my heart good to see you all using that giant auger to give the tree's roots room to grow and develop before they have to spread into the deeper, dryer and more compacted soil! Cheers!
