Laura is one tough lady. I planted 1 bush in my yard today and I'm exhausted. I did use just a shovel and not a power planter. So the right tools DO make a difference. Thanks for all you do Laura, I've got 10 more plants to plant in my yard and it's all because of the motivation you have given me. ❤😊
I have to remove a purple magnolia that didn't survive. It had scale ( which I treated ) not looking forward to that!
It is contagious. Not only have I done my yard, but my beautiful sis, and we just got my mom done. I flower bombed them both. 😂😂💜💜. You are going to create something amazing. Keep us updated. Can't wait to see what you created. 🪴🪴🪴🌿🌿
1 plant and you're exhausted? Smh wow
When I was younger, I did what she does, no problem. Now that I'm older and arthritic ridden, I can't do it.
@@debcurry5775me too😢.
I like the way you’re planting everything randomly these days, can’t wait to see your gardens this summer.
Laura, thanks for the early morning upload
for us insomniacs.
It's almost a guarantee to have sweet dreams.🥰
Laura I know there are artists in your family. You've never talked about yourself as an artist but clearly your garden is your canvas. I love the way you think about placing plants so that they create a certain look and feel. 🎨
One of the biggest things your channel gave me was making drip irrigation easy and accessible. I’d never have tried it without watching you interact with it in your earlier videos. You might think about doing a couple videos about just normal irrigation daily tasks. Adding new plants, hitting a line and fixing it, monitoring for leaks, etc. I know Paul does most (all) of this now, but the new viewers are really missing out on the awesome education to make irrigation seem feasible for a regular homeowner.
I agree that would be educational ❤❤❤
Me too - it intimidates me! Hahaha
Yes. You should always include some drip info for all us newbies to drip. I struggle with drip layout.
Me too. I never even knew it was a possibility without the help of a professional. I am going to do it the house we purchase. Laura gave me loads of info. We turned a concrete rubble front and back garden with proper flower bed. Thanks Laura
I don’t have my own garden anymore but you’ve made that bearable, couldn’t do without your videos Laura, thank you so much🥰🇨🇦
😃 is this an early video…..or an extra? I’ll take a double dose of Garden Answer any day
Amen!!!💜🪴🌿☕
Yes, am going to weed, trim and deal with a border. Lots to do and am so thankful for the inspiration!!! Always a wonderful way to start the day!!! Am 78, still gardening❤❤❤
Age is nothing my dear.. Glad to hear you out and working and keeping busy. The best way to stay mobile and you are creating beauty at the same time. Keep going miss Gretchen. Much love to you!!!🪴🪴🌿🌿☕☕☕☕
What encouragement to know that you are still gardening! I will soon be 78 and still going, too. I am in process of setting up my gardens with perennials that don't require a lot of extra work so that as I age further I can continue gardening.
You guys are giving me hope. I’m only 55 but plan to be gardening for as long as I can maybe well into my 80’s if I can.
@@joydaniel597 I'm just behind you. I will be turning 50 and I love it. My momma who's turning 73 this year she's going strong and all over her property. She has 9 acres which only about 1/3 is cultivated. Keep on going my dear. I have a horrible back, so I am. Iam NO where near as fast as I used to be, however i am consistent and pretty much work all day. , but I will do exactly as you are, going until I can't any more. TO THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T GIVE UP!! cheers..!!☕☕🪴🪴🌿🌿💜💜💙💙💙💙
What a treat for the European here! I got to watch a GA video with my morning coffee instead of my midday break! Awesome, now i know what it feels like when viewers say 'Good morning' 😊 even my pup was tilting his head when he heard 'Hey guys!' So early in the day 😅 projects like these always feel great. Lots of ground covered! Pun intemded 🤗 have a great start to the new week everyone ❤
Morning Everyone 🍃🌺🍃
Morning to you. Have a happy day!!!💜🪴🌿☕☕
Good Morning 🌞 to you Jasmine. Have a great day ☕🌳🌹
Breakfast and Garden Answer. It's going to be a great day.
What a surprise to have a new video after 11:00 at night. Waiting for Wednesday as my kneeling pad is due to arrive. Now if I could just have a day without rain.
You can send some rain to me.😀
Oh, how I would love to HAVE some rain! Spring is VERY dry in central Florida!
Michigan has been very wet and back and forth from cold to warm, So nothing gets done!
It's feast or famine in Missouri. No rain for weeks and then 6 inches in 2 days and more in the forecast.
We are in Aruba right now and the video says it posted at 2am! That’s it, I’m moving Aruba so I get them sooner 😂😂
Have a Fabulous day everyone, off to the beach where I can watch Garden Answer with my toes in the sand 😎🐠🌴
Please make a sand castle for me..😁😁😁. LoL. Enjoy!!!
This is nice! Your videos don’t normally come out till lunchtime in the U.K. so having a really early video was lovely to watch while eating breakfast. ❤
Im in Germany, and I was going to say the same. Nice treat. Coffee in hand. ❤
Same, but want will I watch with my afternoon coffee 😅?
2:30 am here on the east coast in Pennsylvania
Spain, here, and well, my orchid chores had to wait for a little bit because ... priorities! Have a great day everyone ❤
@@elaintschoepe4114Guten Morgen 😊
Any videos of this sort are always my favourite! Watching you fill up your garden slowly with beautiful things is such a precious process. I can't wait to see how it looks like after 5-10 years! (I really hope we can still get to see by then - I would definitely keep watching!)
I really enjoy these random planting videos. It’s refreshing to watch you decide “on the spot” where to plant 🌱 . ❤❤❤
Laura wins the award for successful fastest planter of plants. Laura your beds are phenomenal!
Good morning Laura and G.A. friends!
Laura your excitement is infectious! The random spinach plants were so funny. Can't wait to see all the blooms! That pink and white columbine is gorgeous!
Have a blessed day 💞🪻💞
Here in New Zealand I got the seed of Pink Petticoat at Kings Seed.love them they came back for me last year. Autumn now.
This was a nice treat to wake up to, early, this morning. I don't know if it was on purpose or a happy accident, either way, it's always a treat to see Garden Answer in my list!
Omg the pink petticoats!!and the Early Birds are just as magical. So pretty!❤
Yes! Gorgeous 😍.
The pink petticoat Columbine... does anyone remember where she found the seeds? Johnny's?
@@LindaDavis-iq9zj I thought a viewer gave them to her
@@LindaDavis-iq9zj just checked Johnny’s and they are out of stock right now…☹️.
I've been watching you for over 4 years now. It's amazing everything you all have done in that time. How much your garden has grown. 😊 Watching your trees get big. Your kids are getting bigger. To get to be a part of that is pretty amazing. I can't wait till I can at least not see my neighbors would be amazing. With foliage 😊 thank you for our daily garden journey. ❤️
It's a bleak, damp morning here in Southern Ontario, Canada. I was feeling lazy and unmotivated to go out in the garden. Then I watched this video and now I can't wait to go out there and do my thing😄 "Let's get after it!"
Laura, you are a gift of inspiration and gardening chutzpah! Sending you and your family all the best.
Happy gardening everyone!
Well this was posted early 😅, love it anyway. 💚
Laura, when you were planting, my mind just kept slipping back to when the area was a ‘desert’… the soil used to be a sea of light, dusty dirt. Now, we get to see the results of all your amending with Land and Sea compost: beautiful, healthy and luscious-looking soil that supports such a variety of gorgeous plants! I am amazed at the transformation! Keep on doing what you’re doing - we all love it!!
Seems impossible now!
Girl! You are a machine! ❤ I couldn’t imagine planting all those plants in one day!
Thank you for showing us your winter showing successes and that you can plant directly from jugs into the landscape…I’ve always separated mine and grown them on in 4” pots…which leads to more expense! I’ll know for next year!
Laura, I live in NH . Our lupine grows in crummy soil all along our roadways. In full sun. I've tried to put in my beds for years, but it never takes. So I planted it on a bank with NO amendments, and it's doing just fine.
I planted half of my sweet peas yesterday until the rain got too heavy. I didn’t even think to check the winter sowing jugs. Thanks for the reminder.
I always learn something new every time I watch Garden Answer.
Gardening takes such caring for little plants
( in their pre blossum stage).
They appreciate it...cause they live in such a quiet peace in "seedling" greenhouses...busy feasting on sun with wild nature contained outdoors 🌞🌱🌬🌨
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Laura's work ethic & creative vision motivate me, especially in the wee hours!
I enjoy your “random planting” days the most!
Sweet.....it's 11:13pm here in the coachella valley and your video popped in my notifications❤ I'm assuming this was the Saturday video. Love every video you post even if I can't plant a lot of plants you can. I have learned so much from you! Thank you!
As someone who does not have to deal with that particular arachnid, I'm absolutely amazed at the calmness of "Later in the season it's almost a guarantee that everytime you open an irrigation box there's going to be a black widow in it."
I would be so freaked! 🥴 She’s so calm about it all!
Spiders are a lot easier for me to deal with than venomous snakes! 😀
Thanks again for the inspiration! I’m two zones behind, my spring bulbs are just popping up and starting to open, and I’m beginning to pot up a lot of my seed starts. It’s always encouraging to watch you a couple of steps ahead and to feel excited for what’s to come in my gardens.
🌱🌿🌷
Thank you for the early video Laura from Australia, we dont normally get them until around 10pm or 10.30 sometimes. Cant wait to see all these plants blooming in their full glory. They will be stunning x
I love your "canvas"!! Always ready to be planted. I wish I would have something close to your garden. In mine I have to fight against so many coral rocks, and roots! Planting any plant is a mission.
I adore Lupine! The only one that has survived from the seedlings I grew is the one I planted in a very large concrete paver block bed that has REALLY good drainage. They don’t like clay or heavy soil, they like sandy free draining soil. My mom had the most BEAUTIFUL garden that was filled with Lupine, she lived on a lake in Minnesota and her soil was very sandy. When gardening became difficult for her she let that garden go and the Lupine took over, it was spectacular 🥰
I enjoy your random planting days the most !
Lovely to see you earlier... Thank you Laura lovely start to my day ❤️ you're hard work is paying off it's beautiful.
So nice to see the Menton tulips still making a decent showing. They're one of my top fave tulips!
It is alot of work to get all these things planted but the benefits are priceless!! To be able to look and see all this beauty each day!!!❤❤❤❤❤ I have learned so much from watching Laura & Aaron. I smile 😊 when Aaron gets excited about trees. The children love and learn gardening which is wonderful!! Beautiful family-!!❤❤
Hi Taylor 👋 the music 🎶 and editing in today's video was great! Thank you again for listening to my concerns about the music. 👍🤗🌟💖🎉
I really like seeing the back of the bench. Doesn’t block the urns!😊
Saved so much money growing all of that echinacea yourself, and it's going to look beautiful!
Oh my goodness those pink petticoats are gorgeous. Love those days you can just do what you want in your garden. So satisfying, peaceful and stress free. Did the excact same yesterday. Fabulous day! 💜🥀🌹🌷
Remember your reel from 2 or 3 years ago where the rust orange moth/butterfly showed up to dance around your arrangement? At that moment, I fell in love with Delft Blue nigella. That bloom looked hand-painted. So excited.
The Year of the Spinach, haha.
I LOVE Columbine. I've never seen that Pink Petticoat - it's gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing.
BTW…the bench doesn’t appear to block the urn in the video. So I’m team Aaron on those four black benches. Love the variety of all the plants. Thanks!
Good morning, Laura ☕️😊 I love the winter sowing method. It’s always a surprise when you open them up! Have a Blessed Day 🐈🐈
💜🎶Good morning Garden Answer...🎶 Oh wha a beautiful morning ... oh what a beautiful day 🎶 YOU GO GIRL 👍👍👍.. Heaven on Earth 🌼🌸🏵🌳 💜🎶🇨🇦
That pink petticoat columbine....oh my. I'm in love. lol
Laura, I absolutely love your channel and have for years! Where’s Beverly? She’s always first to the door.
I love it that I wake up in the morming in the Central European Time zone a get a new freshly uploaded GA video 🙂👍🏻 What a great start of the week 😉 (usually we get the videos at lunch time)
Laura, you are definitely inspiring! I love watching you with all your enthusiasm for your garden. It makes me want to plant all types of flowers and vegetables. I have learned so much from watching your videos! Thank you for sharing❤️🎉
Your garden is my garden Laura. After watching for the past six years it’s like home to me. I sure do enjoy your videos they have given me the gumption to try many different plants. Concerning your in ground plumbing box try spraying insecticide in it every month to discourage the black widows. This works for me very nicely.
Went to the garden center this morning and got 8 flats of flowers...taking a lunch break and watching Laura for inspiration !
Love the randomness, it's how I garden all the time!
I have to agree with Aaron. I like the benches with the back. They add so much to that area. They don’t block the pots, they just add some beautiful interest.
I just received my GA kneeling pad and am so pleased with my purchase!!!!! It definitely exceeds my expectations!!! I purchased a smaller kneeling pad about 25 yrs ago, it is made out of the same material as my new one. I didn't really think about not being able to get another like it, but until now hadn't had any luck finding one. Thank you for such quality merchandise !!! I just had my 69th b day so I'm thinking of getting another one, should last until I can no longer garden😂❤
Fun to see how the winter sowing pots faired. I’d say they were a success, even with the random spinach plant!😃
"Roots" and a big smile. A gardeners joy. 😊😊🌼🌼🌹🌹🌷🌷
Yay for an early video! Love all of your projects and learning about a variety of plants. You’re amazing! Thank you!
Random projects are one of my favorites! Will those echinacea bloom this year? I so enjoy how your garden evolves. Flexible planning is the way to go! Love this channel. There are always beautiful things to look at and something new to learn.
Bet you take a moment sometimes and look back to the day you moved into your property!!! I know every time you develop a new area,I look back through videos to the early days!!! What a lifetime of dreams and legacy you are building!!!❤❤
That's what makes your vids so great, Laura. Your randomness.
I need to get started. I've been slacking so far this year. I so much enjoy your content and videos.
Great video as always, your video is the first one I watch while drinking my coffee here in Northern California.
Love your energy, keep up the good work.👍👍
Oh, all your tulips look so pretty, Laura!!
This was my first year doing the winter sowing method. I will do it every year! Such an easy and cost effective way to grow plants.
We were in Maine last June and there were lupine growing wild everywhere. It was so beautiful! They were popping up in yards and culverts, just all over.
So inspiring Laura. You give me energy 😂
If there was anyplace I would use a pesticide, those irrigation boxes would be it!
I so enjoyed it! Your Days are always enjoyablle to thie Fla State fan! I will Be Remembering your Family in my Prayers this weekend, on sat
Oh how I wish I was your neighbor! I would be walking around your gardens all day drinking my coffee. 😅. I'd be the weird lady in the background of all your videos. Just me and the cats.
Oh my I just love Columbine.. I used to collect them years ago their so many lovely colors.. I would trade seeds with friends.. long gone.
I might try to get some more. thanks for the reminder of how beautiful they are.. the deer here like them too, so wish me luck.
This lady has got sweets smile.
You are amazing, and knowing the names of plants you planted around them! I should be getting my kneeling pad soon and I do not mind the wait! You guys are awesome ❤️
Morning Laura and everyone from Idaho. I love the randomness of all the planting today. Soooo informative. Love your videos as always. The south garden keeps getting fuller and fuller. I remember in one of your videos 2021 I believe, when you said, " I feel like I'm planting on mars" and now look at the geeeeorgeous area now. My goodness!!! The grass Aaron has put in, the pathways, it just gets better and better and more beautiful. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us later. Best time in the morning seeing my G A and my coffee and we are off to plant. Best part of my day. Thank you miss Laura. See you in the next one. 💜🌿🌿🪴🌳🌳🌳
Brilliant job and content, dear lady. Have a small dozen fruit trees growing my indoors, so try to figure it out on how to communicate with them all, lol
Happy gardening everyone!
Cheers, Serge 🎉
Love your many little projects tucked in here and there. Can't wait to see them all in bloom. It's like waiting for a painting to be finished. Although, gardens are never really finished are they...lol
Those paper pots work awesome.
Surprise, a video at 8:30 pm on a Sunday at Maui, Hawaii. An extra special treat. 💖
Oh those yellow ones at the end would also look great planted around your fountain in front of your house. We still can’t plant here, but things should warm up in May. Lots of seedlings growing inside.
Love watching these as our garden centers here are bare nothing for a couple more weeks 🫤
What?!!! This video was about 5 hours early here in central time! I couldn’t sleep so I got up and such a sweet surprise!
So bummed. Went to Gardner’s Supply in Hadley MA, which is the next town over from me, and I grabbed the last set of the paper pots and they told me they’ve been discontinued. I love these many project videos. They always seem super productive! Great job as always and thank you so much!!
Love you and your family. Thank you for sharing your life with us .
I thought the black bench that you guys could not agree on placement might work out in the play zone. Just a thought.
Please keep on doing what you're doing. 🇨🇦
I wish I could plant so many of the beautiful things that you plant. It's all so pretty. If I planted half of that, I would have to just add a sign that says open for dining. The deer, groundhogs, and rabbits would clear most of that out in no time. I love looking at your gardens!
Was just thinking Laura @ GardenAnswer ,maybe try planting the lupine under a spruce or pine tree.I know here in Alberta,Canada.ours don’t really care where they get planted but I do know we have some that self seeded under our spruce. You probably thought of that anyway ,just a thought though.Have a terrific Week. You and Arron are my favourite to watch before heading to bed.Always Sweet dreams of planting .
I also had random spinach plants popping up in my seedling trays...lol whoops
Sad that the Delphinium didn't sprout. I've had some struggles getting those to sprout, but I've had success, too. Delphinium are my favorite flowers and so worth the struggle when they bloom.
Your gardens are so stunning and you really work hard for them. I love watching this channel! 🌷🌻🌸
Aquilegia pink petticoat in UK 🇬🇧 ❤ beautiful aren’t they .
seriously love the videography, so well done
I’ve been growing a similar columbine to the pink petticoat for years. Amazing how intricate the petals are-they do drop seed but it is easy to control them. I take the dried seed heads and shake them in spots where I want new ones 😊
I had to stop this video half way just to say how pretty your garden is looking!!! Thank you so much for all your effort in sharing this with us.
Thank you for posting early so I can watch as I get ready for work!!!!! Been watching for years. Love your videos!
I always love the old man face on the tree behind you! I actually have one also on my apple tree. Makes me smile every time 😀😀
Lovely! Your gardens are lovely!
My problem is you are so good at all of this and make me think I can do it. I start and think…… oh no I can’t….. but by then it’s too late to turn back 😂. Thanks for letting me know….. I really can!
I just want you to know that this flowers-only gardener has planted a few vegetables this year as a result of watching you. I didn't go all out but I planted seeds from a papaya and a butternut squash that we ate and expected nothing to happen. Well, every seed sprouted! So I bought some tomato, cucumber, and pepper starts to keep them company. This is how it starts, isn't it?
