It's cool to me that he just goes into for The Love of God without saying anything. Goes to show that there's simply no explaining the expression of that beautiful masterpiece and legendary guitar player.

I think it may be because of the pickups that he's using. Though don't quote me on this.
I'm not quite sure what they are, but I know that if they are sustained for a certain amount of time, more than likely a sustainer pickup is being used. Also, funny seeing you here, man. You're a fantastic chef and I love your methods of cooking certain dishes. The family definitely enjoys it.

It mainly comes from being gentle. That’s one thing that makes it difficult. Is all of a sudden having a baby-like touch in the middle of a ballsy metal riff for example.

Petruccis under a glass moon solo is just one of the best ever. So many techniques squeezed into one solo, but they all make sense and dont feel shoehorned into it just to show off. I was hoping youd do more of it lol

So glad you have Prince on the list. The average music listener has no idea of what an amazing guitar player Prince was. Completely underrated by the general population and by the vast majority of new guitar players, unless they have a guitar teacher, i.g. Mike (TAofG), who is well versed in many genre's.

The noisy guitar in Higher by A7X at the 3:00 mark
The soloy bit after the second chorus of Hail to the King by A7X
The opening of the solo to the Judas Kiss by Metallica
The part of the Cure solo where Kirk Hammett uses a kill switch
The ending of My Friend of Misery where Kirk doubled the chorus riff
The opening of the Snowblind solo by Black Sabbath
The slide guitar in Descending by Tool
The guitar solo after the second chorus of Climbing up the Walls by Radiohead
The bluegrass solo in Wynonas Big Brown Beaver by Primus
The short solo after the first chorus of Sleep On It by the Living End
The opening to the solo of Paradise City
The solo from Get Off Your Ass and Jam by Funkadelic
The solo from If You Have To Ask by RHCP

I love this. It reminds me of what's important. Sometimes I get too caught up and tempted to just focus on "technique". This reminds me that skill-wise, I actually have all the technique I need. I don't need to reach Batio levels just to enjoy 99% of what I really do enjoy. :)

Loved the riff series. Going to love this one too. Always appreciate when you include KISS. The youths might not realize how much fun guitar stuff there is there. A few I'd highlight are when Paul comes in on the Detroit Rock City solo and the "Smashes Thrashes and Hits" version of the Love Gun solo where they get rid of the vocals so you can hear it.

Great video. There is just something about these videos it just makes me happy to watch them.
I am no guitarist but the hardest songs on drums for me are
    1.Pneauma-tool(in the process of learning)
    2.Dance of eternity-Dream theater(Already leanred)
    3.La villa strangiato:Rush(Already leanred)
4...and justice for all-Metallica(Already leanred)(the time signature changes in this song and things you have to remember are crazy)
5.Master of puppets;Metallica (Already leanred) this song isn’t to hard really to execute it is just a matter of what goes where
6.Blackened.Metallica(Already leanred) again this song for me at least isn’t too hard to execute because I play it all the time but again just a case of what goes where
7.People=Sh**-slipknot(Already learned) the blast beats in this song at crazy. I am used to it now though and use it as my warmup song sometimes
8.welcome home sanitarium-Metallica (already learned) man this song has some of the weirdest stuff I have ever heard. The cymbal hits and what goes where.

Oh man you lead with Gilmour. I've ripped that D dorian/pentatonic lick and adapted it for almost everything I play in that key/mode.
Brian May "It's a Kind of Magic" gets me everytime. I can't play it that well..a couple of runs close enough.

It’s weird, but solos rarely do it for me. There are some standouts like Dave Gilmour who has so much expression, but I tend to like weird solos like in The Pixies where they make the guitar sound like it’s being murdered instead of played inside a melodic pentatonic lol. I love punk and post punk music though, so as an ethos it doesn’t really strive for that. When it comes to technical prowess, I also zone in on fingerstyle guitar playing, and get much more of a rush from a master like John Fahey playing an instrumental piece than anything Joe Bonamassa, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, John Mayer or any of those other guys could possibly dish out... But it’s all just different strokes for different folks I guess...

Yo mike- if you get any time can you make a quick short video on a part in the stone temple pilots song “plush”? There is a bridge section about 2.5 mins in that’s buried in the mix a bit but is incredible - almost a jimmy page inspired Beatles progression thing happening. You can hear it very well on the isolated guitar track. Thanks
