The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Oh my gosh! I'm almost in tears! What a great thing to do! That guy was duped and lost his life because he trusted. Britain, as usual brings almost a celebration of life flavor to the occasion, he's so reverent as Ron is, great team separated by almost 2000 miles. Thanks to all the people who support Ron with their time and talents and those who contribute.
OMG!! I have thought of this story and about this young man that was totally innocent but used by a scum to be the patsy in this horrible crime.I couldn’t stop thinking about him and his being forgotten like he was rubbish.I’m so happy you were able to create a face for us all and to know that now he isn’t forgotten but recognized as someone who lived!

I remember his story, poor fella. The monument is so nice! I wonder if DNA testing could possibly trace any descendants?
Glad you gave that poor young stranger a proper headstone, and he is not so 'ragged'. Now someday, he may also be become 'known' as well. Surprised that no one knows he is even missing after 100 plus years!
I love it, judgment is left to God. Not one of us know enough to say it wasn't deserved, people ought not judge ANY other person. He may not have eaten in day's and was desperate. I'm not a religious person, but, ya'all need to read this: Matthew 7 :: NIV. "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Thank you Ron for standing for what you believe in.

The story of The Ragged Stranger was one of the best FOTF adventures. You both walked us through the whole story and took us there almost as if we were on the scene.

I want to say thank you to Ron for introduced me to find a grave. Thanks to you and your channel, I’ve seen my great uncle’s headstone. Sanford Victory Kelley-who gave his life at Pearl Harbor. He was on the USS West Virginia and it never dawned on me that he wasn’t still in the water until just recently. Not sure why that clicked, but I’m thankful it did. I’m just grateful you’ve mentioned that website. ❤
