Thanks buddy Gotta be fast to make money these days most mills just have the log turner. But this mill has cant flippers on the carriage it’s way way faster than turning the log all the way around with the turner
I am amazed at your carriage it dose thing's I haven't seen anything like it. I have been to two worlds fair's and a cock fight and seen nothing like it. Your Sawyer is very, very good( you can. pass that a long if you like) I will to continue to watch.
We had -27* Fahrenheit this morning, no wind, in New Gloucester! How did your band saw do with dozen logs? How do you think a Solid Tooth Saw would hold up to frozen logs? Stay warm and safe! Dan
The band saw ran all day I’m going to get a video tomorrow The bandsaw runs a frost notch for frozen logs it’s suppose to help anyways. I don’t know a whole lot about it tho Solid tooth sawmill would probably cut good since he needs to spray water on his saw at all times but I don’t know very much about those saws just what I’ve seen from watching
So those pcs were 1 7/8 X 3 7/8. They were 108 “ longs. But we have another order for 1 3/4x 3 3/4. 51” long. So they will get plained on 2 sides then get cut in half to get two 51” pcs then bundled up and sold to a different customer
It all air dries. We would make a bigger deal if it was being kiln dried and used for somthing important. But it’s only used to make more sticks and stakes
And it’s been -20 Celsius for the past 3 days minus 30 with the windchill. It’s kinda difficult for the guys to do much of anything when it’s that cold. We are in a building but there’s no heat
@DanielParadis-sr5nh I’m the only one the gets to stay comfortable I sit in the cab in a tshirt and those guys are working in -20 or colder sometimes I forget to give them a little break The building does stop the wind. But some days it’s colder inside the mill because there’s no Sun 🌞
Beautiful pieces like that would nice did a good job
Thanks buddy
Man that thing flips them logs the best of anyone else's sawmill I've seen.👍👍👍🙏

How is it going sawing frozen logs.? It used to creep me out.
It’s been a tough week nothing wants to work properly. But the week is over now hopefully it warms up a bit. Creep you out how??
what happens to the pile/cart of the 'bad ones'?

I noticed that the lumber that was stickered was placed all Willy Nilly. Why not more uniformed? Less chance of warped boards.....
