- Hey Guys, in this video we take a detailed look at this immaculate 2007 Honda Civic V A/T
Car is sold
The Civic uses the tried and tested 1.8L i-VTEC motor that revs to 7000 RPM and produces 130 bhp and 170 nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 5 speed torque converter automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The car is in excellent mechanical condition, has live insurance and tyres have a lot of life in them.

Yes bro. Features are great, we all love them, but when a manufacturer focuses on features and forgets the engine i.e. the heart of the beast, it spoils the package.
If the new Civic Petrol had come with an MT or even a proper TC or DCT automatic, it would have been so much better!
It's interesting how specs differ between countries. I have a mid-range 1.8 manual in Australia. It has stability control, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, lots of airbags, Bluetooth, velour trim and bigger wheels as standard. It's 9 years old and has just clocked 100,000Km. From experience, it will last at least 300,000Km before it starts to look tired.
True buddy, good observation. The spec on Indian variants were really low especially on safety kit. Now it is somewhat better
Actually I think yours is 2012 model and in India too the civic has stability control cruise control steering wheel audio controls 2 airbags bluetooth they did not give 6 airbags and bigger wheels

I didn't know that civic came with torque converter gear boxes, I thought it had only a CVT and a manual transmission
That's the new 10th gen Civic. The old 8th gen (this car) in India was torque converter for automatic and MT.
@@JRSCars I was planning to buy an automatic civic but all the other UA-camrs say that civic came with only a CVT gearbox, so I changed my mind and decided to buy a manual. I saw your acceleration test now and yes I think it is a torque converter. But my doubt is whether all the automatics were torque converters or may be one or two years later they might have changed it to a CVT or is it using a stepped CVT? I knew honda city came with torque converters. Pls do clarify this.
That's the problem nowadays, too many people have started misleading others with wrong information.
I can guarantee that the 8th gen Civic in India (2006-2012) came with only a torque converter for the automatic transmission.
The 10th gen Civic (2019 for India) had only a CVT automatic.
Regarding Honda City also. 3rd gen and type 2 had Torque Converter automatics.
All others are CVT.

Hey buddy, yes! It’s a great car - mileage and an expensive power steering repair (pump is 60-70k) are the only drawbacks
Suspension n AC might need work too
But apart from that, a good clean and low mileage car would be great

The 1.8 in the civic 10th gen that india got before, not now since it's discontinued, is actually not a worthy move by honda, globally, honda gives the civic a 1.5 turbo charged engine with 160bhp, that engine would have justified he 20 lakhs price tag

it has arm rest on back seat as well wid music controls... dis car owner did something to it.
Nothing is done to it. Its hidden under the seat cover, that's all.

At best 10 - 11 kmpl - city driving. This is with being ultra gentle with throttle inputs

Saw a civix on OLX for 1lacs which was poorly maintained . But u can get a really good deal for 1.5 lacs of properly maintained civic !
True. But those cars would have run over 1L km and may have other chronic civic problems like the dreaded power steering leak, suspension issues, etc.,
Also, I was contacted directly by the owner and since the car was so clean, I had to review it. Finding such a clean and low mileage civic that is un-modified, is rare.
