      Redbull was worse in the beginning trust me, but they definitely mastered and paved the way for UCI and W+D- Edr = WB Discovery Sport- world series cup or geo restricted fart! whatever they are called.
      boar 🐗 ing!!! Atleast bring Rob on as a culture consultant!!!!not to be negative because someone out there is trying and carrying the torch, but get it together gcn, enduro uci dh xc wb+the 4ac +- the square root of EDC over 2b! We are impatient! They did say this was going to be a learning experience, so that language tells me they will mold to the audiences needs. They wont survive otherwise. Ive seen mtb in the days where a dh race had no audience compared to now. It can easily fall back to that if they are not careful. Already im seeing a shift in energy and crowd.

    Please Jake, for the early week videos, ask riders like Ed Masters e Matt Walker about the puzzling on there enduro bikes suspension compared to the DH ones? Early in the year we had pretty different condition on the first 2 rounds of the enduro World Cup that were supposed to bring some questioning for them on what to do on their set up.

    For Q/A In one of the earlier vids Jordi mentioned that XC riders/teams don't seem too fussed about the setup help you guys can give. I assume they take advantage of service stuff, but where do you see the advantages are that could be gained from tuning and setup etc?

    Thanks for the videos this week.
    For the Q&A: Do the Fox team use things like Vital's slow mo bike abuse videos as a post mortem to see how Fox suspension was working or for any clues as to how RockShox, Ohlins etc worked on the same track? (Or any other third party video used for information etc?)
    Do some riders share settings with Jordi et al that are "working" for them that they are then happy for Jordi to relay to other riders? Like rider Y is struggling with dive at the front or the rear squatting too much and so Jordi can advise that rider X told them that they are using certain settings. Or is it a lot more secretive across the board?

  • @a.r.8850

    Absolutely love this content. I don't know if any other sport gives insight of this depth but still feels so approachable.
    For Q&A: I always loved progressive suspension because bottom out is much more manageable. But elite downhill people seem to prefer linear suspension. Is that because they can reach very good suspension setups for every condition and risk less bottom out?

    Hey Jordi: Where rebound settings are tied to spring rate and spring rate is always tied to rider weight, is there any general 'Law of Jordi' regarding HSC and LSC? Meaning does a heavier rider "generally" need more or even less compression because of their higher spring rate? Same but opposite for a lighter weight rider? Or does compression always just boil down to rider preference, ability and terrain?

    For Q/A, is there a mass recommendation for the fox riders suspension when going from dry conditions to sloppy wet conditions?

  • @Rumlen25
    @Rumlen25 Рік тому +1

    Q & A: clarification on how the HSR & LSR are activated on the fork and shock. I find it quite easy to adjust the HSC & LSC and notice the difference; also understand shaft speed determines which compression valve is activated but i've heard different things for the HSR/LSR.
    HSR/LSR Q's:
    a) is HSR/LSR completely independent of shaft speed ?
    b) assuming yes for 'a' ... is HSR activated only in the last 1/3rd of the total stroke (deep in your travel) while LSR is activated in the first 2/3rd
    Any other nugs on rebound tuning that you think is noteworthy also welcomed. Cheers

    Q&A - I'm a paralysed rider and have a trike with three shocks, 2 wheels on the front- how would you set that up? Sorry, let me add that my weight is centred in the middle and the rear shock sits behind me. All 3 are air shocks, the rear travel is probably not much more than 60mm as the manufacturer doesn’t offer a manual or specifications. The key area I need is traction from the rear wheel and fast/responsive action from the from so the trike doesn’t tip over too easily. I’ve already dropped the pressure in the front shocks but should I add spacers to reduce the progression?

    is there a "rider average" set up fo reach race? like by the end of fort bill is everyone essentially making the same types of changes because they're all riding the same track? or are there people who are on wildly different edges of the set up spectrum? i always assume by the end of the weekend it averages out to everyones slight take on the "ideal set up" for the track not including a couple outliers.

    • @Ganiscol
      @Ganiscol Рік тому +1

      Just to get a debate started here: In my experience its rebound. With bad rebound settings it becomes unrideable and potentially dangerous real quick. Whereas bad compression feels increasingly bad over quite a settings range before it gets unrideable (if at all).
      Here is my order of importance: spring, rebound, compression
