Frontwoman Lynn Gunn essentially IS PVRIS, in the studio she plays all the instruments as well as doing all the vocals, she's as impressively musically multitalented as Trent Reznor. I love these guys, this album is still my favourite record of their but ALL of their stuff is absolutely FIRE. Holy, from their first album White Noise, is my absolute favourite song, and I would also recommend Half, St Vincent, Use Me, Anywhere But Here, Gimme a Minute, Winter, Goddess, Ghosts and their two notable covers, Chandelier and Are You Ten Years Ago.
PVRIS is amazing and so is Lynn. Lynn has this soft but powerful voice and she can slip into a wonderful grit when she wants. I would love to see you react to their newer stuff. Maybe something off of the album Use Me or Evergreen.
Hype Zombies is one of her best songs, is short, powerful and full of arrangements, on the other hand, Nirvana is awesome because Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park is the producer
Would love to see a reaction to something from Evergreen. My personal favorite is Goddess. Sometimes I swear she put crack in that song. Every time it comes up on my shuffle, I end up playing it a second time before moving onto another song.
The "two years gone" line is about 2 years of touring and promoting their first album. The song is about how Lynn was feeling during and after that first big tour.
