I chose this bag for my first tackle bag and I think it is perfect for me. For the magnets, I use them to keep my knife easily accessible or for my hook removal tool.
I looked at the bag for several months online. My debate was 3600 vs 3700. I purchased the 3600 in June 2021. It's a more impressive design & look than pictures online can convey. Your review nailed it for me in terms of features and function. Excellent overall review. I am sold on the drop zone. It is a workspace for lure and hook changes in the midst of moving water. Solves the problem of several sharp objects in use at the same time. The bag is the perfect kayak size and mid-size in profile. The next size up looks potentially massive. So this may be the best choice of general gear storage regarding the innovation of fishing tackle bags.
I’m getting the 3700 size. I have a Plano guide series that has lasted 22 years. The top tore about a year ago and the handle broke. I beat the snot out of that bag. Looking forward to the new one.
I'm a year and 5 months into using this exact bag based on your recommendation. I replaced the boxes with Plano Edge Series trays and it's the best set up i've ever had. I thought the 'drop zone' was a total gimmick . . . but it works KILLER ! So far everything has held up 100% . . . I use 303 Protectant on the zippers occasionaly to keep them sliding nicely. So far so good . . . couldn't be happier. Thanks for the review.
I love this bag. I have a pool noodle for my in-line spinners, my filleting knife and bear spray hooked on to the front molle section and the magnets are super handy for tying on new terminal tackle, swivels and snaps etc.
I've used the same tackle box since about 1997. I'm finally replacing it with some 3600 size bags. I got the Plano weekend bag today after watching your video. I'll probably get this one next. I would like to be able to pack different bags depending on where I'm fishing.
Great looking bag! I love the style and the drop zone is a really clever idea. I'm a bank angler and as I change baits I like to leave them out to dry before I put them back into my tackle boxes. The drop zone would be a cool way to lay down my loose lures and have them be secure so they don't get lost in the grass or whatever. Only downside for me is that I prefer a backpack style for my tackle bag versus a shoulder or hand carry. And yeah it is quite pricey for a fairly small bag.
Hello Mr Bass! Thanks for the review. Did you end up reviewing the 3700 because I am still debating between the two and unfortunatly none of the stores aroud me have them in stock I must order online. Thanks!
been going thru mr bass live withdrawal lmao been missing the lives an its only been a week lol an the box should of came with extra strap that turns it into a small handle vs shoulder strap
Just don't leave this in the sun. The cheap plano boxes inside warp when they heat up. Ended up replacing most of the boxes with plano edge boxes instead.
Thanks. I have noticed with most tackle bags, regardless of brand, that they put the very cheapest boxes in the bags. I usually replace all of my boxes.
The bag is good, but beware the internal 3600 trays it comes with are chinese garbage. They are super thin and will show up twisted and warped. I had to buy the USA trays to replace the ones it came with.
You're right about the trays. Fortunately I already own a closet full of 3600 boxes. Plus dollar-store knockoff boxes are better than these and fit perfectly in the bag, which itself is excellent. I use mine in my kayak, replacing a bulky, awkward crate. It holds -- and organizes -- an amazing amount of tackle and tools.
Awesome bag...except, I don't like cleaver features...my belief is keep-it-simple.....#1) Get rid of the magnets #2) Get rid of the side handles #3) Get rid of the back envelope storage (useless)....these features are annoying....not going to buy it

Great comments. Thanks!

How man edge3600 boxes do fit in the bag?
@@EntaGeming . . . same . . . 4 Edge 3600's on the bottom, and 1 on the top . . . . plus one 3500 edge fits in the front pouch as well.
You sold me on the bag, just bought one. Thanks for the review!
How is do u enjoy it
Same here. Lol
Plano makes such great products. Right now I have the Plano A-Series backpack 2.0 and it couldn’t be any better for my needs
I love this bag. I have a pool noodle for my in-line spinners, my filleting knife and bear spray hooked on to the front molle section and the magnets are super handy for tying on new terminal tackle, swivels and snaps etc.
That is pretty neat idea thanks for sharing
Thanks for the review. Wanted to make sure I had a good case for the husband.
Glad I could help
Thanks for this great video. Can the front pocket or the side pockets be used for 5 to 6 jars of power bait?

I love this bag. I picked it up at Roger's. I made it my pond hopping bag for now 🙌
Nice!
The Plano Reel Locker is awesome also!!
I did a video on that too. Definitely looks cool
@@MrBassTV oh sweet!! I love it for travel. I will check that video out. Thanks
I have the small one and just got the 3700XL. 7 3700 and 3 3600 boxes in it. Going to try and use it on my PA14.
It’s pretty innovative

There biggest model has backpack straps
How big is the plastic box on the top is it the same dimensions as the bag ?? Cheers 🇮🇪 🎣
Have you tried the Frogg Toggs bags at all? I'm looking at the 3600 size for ice fishing, but can't find any reviews on it.
You got me hyped to buy one of these now, also I like to collect minor league team hats too :D
Hello Mr Bass! Thanks for the review. Did you end up reviewing the 3700 because I am still debating between the two and unfortunatly none of the stores aroud me have them in stock I must order online.

That is one sweet bag. Looks rugged.
Thanks for this Review
Nice review. Not liking the magnets myself. I get it but I think it’s more of an inconvenience for me.
Awesome bag does it have discount code that would be nice
Have you checked out the A-Series 2.0 Quick tops?
Use corner straps to add water bottle pouch
Will the water proof 3600's fit into the bag? I think the water proof tackle may be a little bigger but I might be wrong.
I think so, but I did not try that.
I bought a molle waterbottle holder and i attached it in the corner of the bag
Sweet! There are a ton of great ways to use molle
Can i swap the boxes with 4 plano edge3600?
I wondered if they fit as well
@@MrMysto . . . they do . . . just a little bit snug, but they fit.
Think the idea is nice with the magnets but be better if it went all the way down the length and width.
been going thru mr bass live withdrawal lmao been missing the lives an its only been a week lol an the box should of came with extra strap that turns it into a small handle vs shoulder strap
Next Mr Bass live will be Wednesday at 8pm! I’m looking forward to it for sure.
You can adjust shoulder strap way down to were it acts as a handle on the top
Is that a Riverdogs hat?
Yep. Lol
Go river dogs. Great video

Did 4 edge 3600 boxes fit fine?
How much does that one cost?
$100 on Amazon in March 2024
It for sure a nice bag, however I don’t think I’ll own one to me there’s just not a $100 there!!
seems risky to have magnets so close to your cell phone pouch
👍
👀✌🏻

That’s frustrating. For the price you pay, they should provide better trays

Back envelope is great for maps, btw.
