EL JEFE REVIEWS Hahaha! I agree! You know who else does that to me? Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa “I’ll Take Care of You.” If you haven’t heard them, look them up. “I’d Rather Be Blind” is excellent too.
Haley Reinhart is the best thing to ever come out of American Idol... and she didn't even win :\ She has such great voice, and such a great sense of how to do this jazzy style properly. Not sure why she is not more famous than she is.
Im personally glad she didnt win American Idol because if they did, you would never hear songs like this. They would have just pigeon holed her into a certain type of music and never be creative like she is now. Basically they tell you how you should sing and what. But now she gets to choose her own lane. She's much better than Idol...Just sayin
She out 40s the singers from the 40s. She's more old fashioned than old timers. As someone once said, "Hailey Reinhart sounds like Marilyn Monroe looked."
Finally, a reviewer that gets it. Haley throws it down like the way Albert King threw down ‘I’ll Play the Blues for You’ live. They both share an intuition and syncopation that draws the listener in and orders the martini. I loved your reaction sir. Thanks.
HAAA! I KNEW as soon as you announced the video that you were gonna LOVE this. That was fun - she got you after the first phrase. She just keeps pouring it on. Great stuff. Cheers.
What's amazing about PMJ, and why I love them so much, is that they perform these songs live. Usually they end up doing several takes to get the best version and then post it. What's amazing about Hailey Reinhart, and why I love her so much, is that this was Hailey's FIRST take.
I love Haley's voice and style. She is truly an "old soul" and does great with the bluesy retro style. Haley has done some more stuff with PMJ but she also has a lot of rely great covers and some very good original work. Check out her "Don't Know How To Love You" or "Honey, There's The Door".
Great reaction to an amazing performance. I love our description about an artist hitting a 'pocket'. I've never heard that discussed like that before but it's so true. Great Stuff!
Man, have you entered the rabbit hole. There's so much great PMJ out there, you'll literally never get to the end of reactions for them (since great new ones come out like clockwork).
So happy that you found PMJ... this is my absolute favorite cover of Creep in existence. What do I love most about PMJ, though? As a cover band, they have introduced me to more music than I would have ever discovered on my own, as well as introducing me to more artists than I was aware of (they've featured 60 or 70 different performers). PMJ is more of a "collective" than a band/group, and the variety you can discover in their discography is amazing!
I knew you would love it. Scott Bradlee is a brilliant arranger and PMJ is basically a musical collective of singers and musicians. When they tour, they take as many as 20 or more and you never know what combination of talent will be there.
This is the best reaction video to this song I've seen. I love seeing new people react to this song cuz I know it will hit them, but you have really funny and deep insightful comments to this. Bravo sir!
Omg! Besides having a drink and enjoying this phenomenal singer.... I close my eyes and it’s been presented by Mr James Earl Jones! Can’t get better than that!!!
Just goes to show ya..., a little class, sophistication, decorum, a great tight band, keen arrangement, a great range of powerful pipes, being dressed & some tasteful swank / pizazz does it all the time! And! They're havin' fun doin' it! 4 hands on that bass! Cool!
I love the transition in attitude. You started out doubtful... And when she proved herself you stepped up and applauded what she had to give. Respect given, respect returned.
It doesn’t happen very often, but every now and then you’ll see a singer who takes a song and elevated it far beyond where it originally was. Which, considering that this song was amazing to begin with, is not an easy task. But this song belongs to Haley now. It’s her song. I love Radiohead, and I grew up on this song as a 90s kid. I’ve loved it ever since it came out. But now, I just have to thank them for providing Haley with the song. I honestly feel she owns Creep in the same way Johnny Cash owns Hurt. It’s hers now. I also think it’s a damn tragedy that she isn’t the most famous singer of her generation. It’s a damn cryin shame, because she should be mega famous, with all the awards. You just don’t hear voices like hers anymore. And I should know- I sing Jazz and Blues and have for 15 odd years. She’s just so talented, and she really plays her voice like an instrument. And that ability, to play it like an instrument, really reminds me of Ella Fitzgerald (who I love so much I named my daughter after her, so this is no lazy comparison). I’d really love to hear Haley singing Black Coffee.
She also covers Black Hole Sun, and Ooops! I did it again!, and Habits for them, also Mad World w that giant clown guy all are pretty amazing. She's different for sure
You can do a deep dive into Post Modern Jukebox and find a LOT of great performances. May I suggest PMJ and Puddles the Clown (he has also sung with Haley Reinhart on their channel).
This was taken in one shot... Her song for a gum commercial went platinum. I mean how the hell is she not selling out stadiums. She's the female Michael Bublé
She gives every song character. She plays a character in every song. Don’t Know How to Love You is an original song that is incredible. Just listen and enjoy.
I've been a fan of Haley Reinhart since her American Idol season, and have become a big fan of PMJ. Having them together here is a great pair to draw to. I hope you do more from PMJ, and perhaps some of Haley's solo stuff. They're both a great listen.
This girl can sing! If they have an album out I wanna find it and buy it thank you again for your reaction so you're 1 of the best in the business in my opinion!
Loved your reaction!! You made some valid points about her talent as a singer! I remember her from American Idol, along with Casey Abrams, who was in one or two of her videos. I love her rasp and her tone, not to mention her style of singing. That girl can sing!!!
Haley Reinhart placed third in the tenth season of American Idol. She likes jazz and did a number of duos with Casey Abrams (sixth place) who plays the upright base
Smok'in Hot......Man! It's retro, Jazz, Blues, big band ,that comes from a Rock song. How they do it and not lose one single original spirit in this song is nothing short of pure musical technical genius. An amazing performance and cover of the Tune. PMJ is just pure talent . The musicians are fantastic, every singer they use fantastic and great arrangements. What's not to like? Liked your reaction! I felt the same after I recovered from my first listen! *Cheers*
How I missed your reaction to this, I don't know. Love your reactions man. I have to see if you did the PMJ "all about that bass" European tour edition.
I have said this on the Take me to the church with PMJ and Morgan James video you did - there are some epic songs that Scott arranges on PMJ and some of them are glorious, some are fine and some miss - for me. This has to be true for all music, it's such a personal thing - there are very few things that are universally liked - we wouldn't be human otherwise :)
I am so glad I came across you! Great taste! What the hell am I doing here? That rasp! She is killing it and you need to hear more of the fire that is PMJB! You have a new fan!
I saw you're interested in music for TV & Film/synch licensing. Haley was just featured as a guest speaker at Variety magazine's Music for Screens Summit. Her segment was titled, "Synching for a Living." Many of Haley's original songs have been used in TV shows, commercials, and a film. She was commissioned to record "Can't Help Falling in Love" for an Extra gum ad campaign and that song has reached platinum status. Haley is also the voice behind the new Mazda ad campaign. And, music aside, she voices a primary character (a boy) in the Netflix animated series "F is for Family."
Enjoyed the honest, clear, and universal reaction to this. I highly suggest you check out PMJ covering U2 "still havent found what im looking for". I was dancing w my dog when i heard it!
Please check out postmorden jukebox cover of All about the bass.haley is in that with a couple other, you will love it. Back in that era, they would have called her a Dame lol.
Welcome to the PMJ club. My intro to them was All About That Bass which featured Haley Reinhart, Morgan James, Ariana Savalas and Casey Abrams. Mind. Blown.
First, go ahead and get your groove on Sir! 😏😂 Second, this is how you croon a song, not that crap Fergie attempted with the National Anthem awhile back. 😐😖😳 Lastly, beautiful rendition of an amazing song. ❤🔥❤ Loved the reaction once again! 😉
Postmodern Jukebox has no single singer BTW. They mix it up and do jazz, big band, cocktail, blues, 50's be-bop, dixieland, etc.,etc,...styles with MANY different featured singers and musicians. They do also have a core group of 7 or 8, "regulars" who float in and out of songs they do. The group has now toured the world several times for a few years since their MASTERMIND founder, arranger and GODLIKE versatile prodigy.....and I do mean PRODIGY, pianist, Scott Bradlee, formed the band. If you watch their vids you will also notice their singers often have not only sick talent and style...but a lot of swag. PMJ also has a lot of humor to many of their presentations. Very cool group with the perfect name...for what they do. They do all COVERS and change the styles to old timey styles. A gem of a band that deserves to be even more popular.
PMJ is wonderful. Explore their catalog a little further. Dream On, All About That Bass, Thriller......... so many wonderful artists, arrangements and musicians!
Morgan is definitely amazing. Like, obviously. Personally, my favorite PMJ covers are Creep, Seven Nation Army, Blackhole Sun, and Mad World w/Puddles which are Haley. They definitely have very different voices and stylings. They're both freaking amazing though, so we can all love someone different! :-) Side note: I don't think he's one of their usual vocalists, but Wayne Brady killed Thriller so hard.
She scat all over us! And I liked it. Haha! 😆 She killed this performance - they all did. One of my all time favorites. (And I'm more of a rock and blues head.)
I heard a 1940’s WWII big band sound and arrangement with Jessica Rabbit’s sexiness and shades of Amy Weinhouse all in one song by Haley Reinhart. Wow! I love this rendition. She not only killed this song she owned it.
I loved this rendition of one of my favorite songs. I have to admit she brought something special to the performance. I haven't heard good scatting since Ella Fitzgerald. I really enjoyed it and your reaction too :-)
Absolute best version of Creep (blow you out of the water) is Brian Justin Crumb doing an audition for America's Got Talent. Absolute best performance from Haley Reinhardt is Seven Nation Army. Like a slow sensuous strip leaving you all hot and bothered, but the lady never takes off a stitch. Haley's little girl voice and pretty face just doesn't make Creep believable, though I like her style.
I feel like I need a drink and a cigarette after I hear this performance. Every time.
EL JEFE REVIEWS Hahaha! I agree! You know who else does that to me? Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa “I’ll Take Care of You.” If you haven’t heard them, look them up. “I’d Rather Be Blind” is excellent too.
Aaaaaayyyyyyeeeee el jefe!
Haley Reinhart is the best thing to ever come out of American Idol... and she didn't even win :\ She has such great voice, and such a great sense of how to do this jazzy style properly. Not sure why she is not more famous than she is.
That's why American Idol sucks!
Let's not. Forget. About. Kelly Clarkson. This. Girl. Is. Singing. This. Song. Long. Dragon it out.
I'm going to have to agree that Postmodern Jukebox Seven Nation Army is a must!
She out 40s the singers from the 40s. She's more old fashioned than old timers. As someone once said, "Hailey Reinhart sounds like Marilyn Monroe looked."

Could not have said it any better, Sir.
Yes Sir, you got taken to town on this PMJ train. Love Hailey Reinhart - Seven Nation Army with her is a killer man! You gotta do it!! Fire🔥🔥🔥
Oh, how I love this version!!! Thank you for your reaction. Haley kills this!!!
Oh, you def need some Postmodern Jukebox 'All About the Bass' in your life!!
Great reaction to an amazing performance. I love our description about an artist hitting a 'pocket'. I've never heard that discussed like that before but it's so true. Great Stuff!
Michael, I so enjoyed this cover of Creep. She did kill it. I also enjoyed your reaction to her performance. Thank you.
Thank you Debbe

Oh... I almost forgot. React to PMJ and Haley Reinhart's Seven Nation Army: ua-cam.com/video/sB6HY8r983c/v-deo.html
You're welcome ;-)
"You better go ahead and sing that song"... lol
I knew you would love it. Scott Bradlee is a brilliant arranger and PMJ is basically a musical collective of singers and musicians. When they tour, they take as many as 20 or more and you never know what combination of talent will be there.
Her live version of "Don't know how to love you " is really damn good too.
I'm excited for this one! Haley killed it! One of my favorite PMJ covers
This is the best reaction video to this song I've seen. I love seeing new people react to this song cuz I know it will hit them, but you have really funny and deep insightful comments to this. Bravo sir!

YOU have a beautiful soul man. I reacted the same way when I heard it. What a unique take on the song. Makes me love music all over again
I'm still always shocked she didn't win American Idol. I can't remember who won her season but I love her.
Postmodern Jukebox is a rabbit hole. Leave now, while you can still save yourself.
She's something special when it comes to maximizing her performances.
Saw her live at a small venue. It's hypnotizing.
Hooray! You finally found her! As long as you are in PMJ land, you might also try Morgan James: Maps. It's really good too.
My guy. It’s clear to me your perfect gig would being a voice actor. Get on it and live your best life bro. 👏🏾
Love Haley and PMJ. Check out their cover of Seven Nations Army with Haley and Maps with the amazing Morgan James. That will get you started😉😉😉.
BTW, my initial prediction of your reaction was pretty spot on starting with the "stank face".
Anew PMJ cherry has been POPPED!! LMAO..... Go watch 7 Nation Army by PMJ.... Mind will be blown!
I love PMJ, they have a fresh taste on classic songs. For us music fans it’s refreshing.

Post Modern Jukebox is the song treatment, Haley Rheihart is the singer. LOVE this concept of back-dating songs through time!
You can do a deep dive into Post Modern Jukebox and find a LOT of great performances. May I suggest PMJ and Puddles the Clown (he has also sung with Haley Reinhart on their channel).
Holy shit, what an AWESOME reaction to one of my favorite vocal performances. You've got a fan!
You've been missing out because Vintage Postmodern Jukebox are great! It's amazing what they do with their singers. They're all in sinc. Great job!

Love this version of the song! I really enjoyed your video... My reaction hearing this song for the first time was - what the f did just happened!!!
I enjoyed your wide-open eye in the end, man!!!
This girl can sing! If they have an album out I wanna find it and buy it thank you again for your reaction so you're 1 of the best in the business in my opinion!

Totally Enjoyed and Loved Your Reaction ! Thank You
I'll also have another one and put it on Sdy's tab.
Haley the BEST ..... Desde Argentina para el mundo, la mejor lejos !!!!!
Haley Reinhart placed third in the tenth season of American Idol. She likes jazz and did a number of duos with Casey Abrams (sixth place) who plays the upright base
As perfect of a performance as has ever been done. It still makes me well up even after many, many viewings.

The range. The Power. The Rasps and Growls.
Smokin hot, every time. She has quite a range, and conjures up a Marilyn Monroe vibe that is intoxicating.
How I missed your reaction to this, I don't know. Love your reactions man. I have to see if you did the PMJ "all about that bass" European tour edition.
You get Haley and PMJ 100%. I really enjoyed your reaction.
YESSSS I didn't even realize you hadn't seen this!!
damn ive never heard this cover fuck me running wow
Omg! Love your reaction! So worth it!!❤️

Ok, you've hooked me. I've subscribed! Love your reactions.
She is awesome 👏🏼
I am so glad I came across you! Great taste! What the hell am I doing here? That rasp! She is killing it and you need to hear more of the fire that is PMJB! You have a new fan!
She does Seven Nation Army with them as well.

You might LOVE her AGT performance of "What Is and What Should Never Be"

When you said "Fire" an made that face, I laughed so hard I chocked on my coffee. Subscribed.
PMJ is wonderful. Explore their catalog a little further. Dream On, All About That Bass, Thriller......... so many wonderful artists, arrangements and musicians!
Just WOW! She is awesome
YES!!!!! PMJ!!!!!!
Love Haley and her jazzy stylings, but prefer Morgan James power soul. In fact they have a whole stable of INCREDIBLE vocalists.
Jay Holland Morgan James is *incredible* !
Morgan is definitely amazing. Like, obviously. Personally, my favorite PMJ covers are Creep, Seven Nation Army, Blackhole Sun, and Mad World w/Puddles which are Haley. You need to hear Haley and Puddles just shred "Mad World". Disturbingly beautiful.
I love Haley! And PMJ always hits the spot!
Will you check out Superfruit? Their Beyonce medley and Rihanna medley is so good!
All I'm gonna say now is.........Puddles! Go to PMJ, search for anything by Puddles!! They found him first, not America's Got Talent!!
Yup. Puddles. A must react. He even did one WITH Haley.
Puddles and Haley sing Mad World.
He's 6'8". Don't, don't, don't miss it.
My new hobby is watching people react to creep by haley lol
She scat all over us! And I liked it. Haha! 😆 She killed this performance - they all did. One of my all time favorites. (And I'm more of a rock and blues head.)
@DramaSydETV , That was very far beyond fire. That was napalm. She burns way hotter than fire.
i see what you did there, yes!!!!
7:51 - Like has been upgraded to love. You're awesome. Hope you keep doing what you do!
I heard a 1940’s WWII big band sound and arrangement with Jessica Rabbit’s sexiness and shades of Amy Weinhouse all in one song by Haley Reinhart. Wow! I love this rendition. She not only killed this song she owned it.
Goddamit that cheesy grin makes me laugh every time.
Haley rocks .. wow .. loved this
and oh so cute btw
You need to dig into Post Modern Jukebox... they have incredible stuff !
OMG I was hoping you would do this one!!!
Scotch or Martini? For a second I thought you needed a cigarette...after. Haha.
I loved this rendition of one of my favorite songs. I have to admit she brought something special to the performance. I haven't heard good scatting since Ella Fitzgerald. I really enjoyed it and your reaction too :-)
YESSSSSSS! The POCKETS!! SUBSCRIBED!!
Now must do 7 NATION ARMY!!
Love me some PMJ. They did that in one take!
She doesn't just sing, her voice makes love to your earhole.
Amazingly, this was done in one take & she had the flu!
Straight flames
