I don't like the fact we have to ask "How much privacy is worth a good game" and feel there are deeper problems because we're willing to ask ourselves those questions. That said, I am willing to give it a shot myself to see what the game is about.
@SkyficeQ Haha! This is why one should never assume. YT is the only "social media" I even have an actual account with. And if I ever need to check anything on any of them I just make a sock puppet
Everyone hated Valorant at first because of kernel level anti cheat claiming China will be spying on them and stealing their info 😂. Its just Cheaters making excuses because guess what, I have not encountered a SINGLE cheater in Valorant
battlefield and rainbow six siege as well as many other big games use kernel not soul cried about those title using it. its all complete crap from dumb people spreading miss information people talking about stuff they have zero understanding of
I don't care about the cheaters I am a IT professional and I am scared of the amount of access that this game gives other parties on my PC they have access to turn on my cameras and microphones without me noticing that is a big red flag and a big No-No they need to remove this Colonel level anti cheat and put it with like easy anti cheat or something along the lines that is not kernel level
Currently ace is just looking through all of your data is sending it straight to chinese party. It's not an anti-cheat. Most players are running spt. Logon after 10pm PST and you'll get cheaters fighting cheaters every single match for 8-10 hours straight. It's a pattern.
As someone with minor knowledge of hacking and experience in programming I would say not to worry. The thing is that the anti cheat boots up before your bios, basicly it can then scan for cheats. Will require more expensive cheats to bypass that or a 2nd pc so that will limit the cheaters. Ironicly I just exited the game after having experienced my 1st aimbotter in normal mode fighting for the mandlebrick
I'm a very reasonable person. The developers have been extremely responsive on social media and have been extremely quick to fix the most important issues. I personally have no major gripes with the game and the reasoning for people giving mixed reviews are easily fixed. Also, looking at steamDB, this game still has a healthy player base. I can't wait to give well balanced review if the game as i play it more and hopefully the reviews go back up soon.
I stopped playing league after riot got the same anticheat as valorant. 10+ years down the drain. Games should make it more clear if they use kernel anti cheat. Especially if it keeps running outside of the game. And no adding, it to a 100 page user aggreement is not clear enough.
I help you out also battlefield and rainbow six siege as well as many other big game use kernel level anti cheats difference is with them most people don't know about them having them so everyone just going to cry about every game if everyone knew ?
ACE is used in Arena Breakout: Infinite and I haven’t heard any crazy shit about that yet. Just that they’re banning cheaters by the thousands every week. Seems to be working very well. If you don’t want to use the game because of it, I respect that, but maybe don’t be so alarmist and assuming the absolute worst trying to scare everyone away from a couple of great games. Any of this stuff can be done with most of the existing tech that’s out and already in widespread use
I was having issues with EAC games not launching and giving me an error to close ace-base. I have to manually uninstall the anti cheat when im done playing I doubt they were whitelisted by EAC yet
I can't help but wonder if some of the neg reviews are because the game is 50 percent perfectly geared towards someone who wanted a good serious shooter and the other 50 percent is geared towards bad taste call of duty fortnite type skins, operators etc. I almost bought a pc to play this but all the skins i kept seeing turned me off. I look forward to trying it on ps5
Something I've always said is that if you want a job to justify your constant paranoia, either go into IT, or become a Libertarian politician. Notable Examples: Mutahar and Count Dankula respectively. They are the type of guys who would refuse to download this game.
I am very for kinda invasive anti cheats because they are effective. However It is the governments job to make it so companies that use Kernel level anti cheats to not be able to steal info or do anything invasive, if they do they should be held accountable. I do not understand why it is the consumers fault to deal with this. We did not make these games we are just playing them its the companies job to make a game that is one cheater free and also safe to play for us players without our info being stolen. From what I have read and what I know about Anti Cheats, Delta Force is safe however it is tencent and as a result they will and do sell your information. Just be careful stay updated but I would say overall Delta Force seems safe.
I agree. It is more suck for govt employees that want to play DF but have to maintain their OPSEC. I don't think it is worth the risk but people can always invest into a dedicated gaming PC just for game only.
Eh its not like people having anything of value to spy on anyways, regardless if they are spying on me I couldn't care less since everyone is getting spied on too and not just me
Hey Mr. Crash i think you have a very thoughtful, respectful, and well worded take on the subject! :) since i have no idea what the actual factual state of the world is and who is doing what and stuff, i think the risk with this game (or its anticheat misuse ) is minimal compared to what we do daily in other areas of our lifes and i dont use my machine for anything work related or important projects and I'm not wealthy so i have nothing afaik at risk i keep playing it for now btw. quick question would a complete wipe of the system and drives and new os setup delete a non deleted Programm from the Kernel or could it be "hardwired" to your hardware?
Thanks for the kind words! I think it would delete it with a fresh install and a format of the drive, it can access hardware but through a windows driver. Worth a google tho for sure.
We have been banging rocks together in a cave for 1000s of years? Why change? Just stay stagnant and keep repeating mistakes such as kernel anti cheat. New products should always repeat the mistakes of old products. They put lead in paint, when a new paint is released and it has lead in it, we are not allowed to criticize it because we used lead paint before.
i got banned for having 3rd party cheats they found that i dont have on my pc lol idk how to find them buy them or how they work never had a game do this to me a day in my 30 years of my life
As a cybersecurity....erm... enthusiast.... I guess. MFA or 2FA is always recommended for any and all options when available. Changing passwords, although annoying should be a staple in any good standards. Password manager that is not browser based is always a good idea. Keepass is good as it stores data locally and not to the cloud or on a server. My main issue with anti-cheat software at the kernel level is if exploited by a bad actor, can create a backdoor into your system and that means you have to trust the devs security integration. I don't trust people enough for that. I also am very vigilant about what is being run at any given time. Just my thoughts then again "whoami"
When i play Delta force i have issues that i cant turn off PC - it stop at shutdown.. and circle is spinning i need to use power button to kill it. Same was happen in InfiniteBreakpoint that use same antycheat , but it not happen all the time , looks like some issue that Antycheat works in background.. Funn fact Valorant antycheat likes to brick pc to not boot - you need to reset bios to default. ua-cam.com/video/d4DBKVxzzMg/v-deo.html
This wasn’t made as a real game. It was made as a way to make money off fees from selling skins between players. They saw all the other companies making money with that strategy. They don’t care about the actual game
Poll this do not install this game deleted off your PC and find the kernel level anti cheat and pray to God that you can rip it from your fucking PC fast enough before it actually does some serious goddamn damage

that's the point its rare

@@lyndonjohnson5063 they see chinese they think CCP is spying on them, even though league and valo is owned by tencent as well.

your first claim is just not true....
Cheater cant hack an AC they dont know about thats why they are crying
No we don't like giving companies that are beholden to China access into the back doors of our computers that's what we don't fucking like

Great engagement on this on! I'd love to see a video on bullet penetration and damage if you have any stats on those things.
@Schpoo I might do one looking at the armor. Cuz I think armor needs a buff

Loads of games use kernel anti cheat lol.
What's the point of being kernel level and having 10 hackers every day in the extraction?
I have an interesting theory as to why it is getting the negative reviews. Great video crash.
Because it has issues
@toptiertech7291 Ah thanks for clarifying. 🤦🏽
care to enlighten us?

Half these gamers have Facebook and tiktok it will be ok
You hit the nail on the head.

The developer can brings games with VAC and kernel level anti cheat. VAC matches with VAC only.

Such a centered, lucid man. You're great Crash
suggesting that people do not talk about vanguard is insane, it's a very common reason people do not touch riot games.
Cant even decide if this game is good or not because the stuipid game say missing file permissions or some shit so i cant even download it

So you become new hardware?
Warzone and Bo6 will go downhill bigtime if this game and the anticheat works better. Ricochet dosent even work
If people hate it.. they like cheating.. hands down. You want fair play? Keep it fair.
Thanks for excellent content and debunking my dude.
Stupid comment the game is pretty awesome if you forget about pretty skins that mostly please only you.
I think those reviews are alot of salty cheaters. Id rather the game be as cheater free as posiible
But the anti cheat does not work
dangerous for cheaters
Nice rifle bro
