I just dont know how you can trust 49% of your cap in 4 players and achieve only regular season elite status...and they're not even the best at that. The Bruins and the Lightning and then the Avs are arguably still better throughout this decade...with much more reasonable cap space to insert reliable depth. this team just also doesn't give a shit after 82 games.

I remember the day Tavares signed with them. I assumed they had at least 4 or 5 Cup runs in them before Tavares' contract ended. Glad to see it didnt happen as a Bruins fan lol.

I saw a quote that said something along the lines of if the Maple Leafs were a business who pumped out the same mediocre product year after year, they would have gone out of business years ago. The Leafs need less flashy 60 goal scorer frat boy types and more guys who want to win at any cost. While the front office has its fair share of fault the guys on the ice are the ones who have to care at the end of the day.

I didn't look at Tavares as a home run. He's a great player and all of that don't get me wrong but they had a lot of young scoring. They needed help on D and more depth. I just thought they could spend that $ better.

This team is so depressing to watch, despite the Leafs' high-end talent. They make the playoffs every year from 2017, but only won their playoff series once last year.

Probably in the minority here, but maybe we shouldn't expect winning or being the best out of anyone. That's a lot of pressure on any team of people given that only 1/32 can win each year.
It seems a little sort of like spoiled fans saying that their team was kick ass all season and then didn't win in the playoffs.
Do they not see it's statistically impossible for all the teams to win? Do they not see teams like the Coyotes and Ottawa Senators struggling each year far worse than the leafs?

Having scorers is great but u need good D and goaltending too if ur guna contend for the Cup!!!??

The team chooses to lose on purpose. There's no other way to explain winning 3 division titles since Hitler annexed Austria (Literally, look it up) They don't even win anything of minor substance. It's unreasonable to ascertain that any franchise could be this bad at winning.

The fact the Zamboni driver was mentioned in this video is a joke . They lost to the Hurricanes . Not a Zamboni driver . They could have put an orange cone in the net and still one ! The DRIVER had jack shit to do with it . Leafs gave up , and didn't try .

Yes at one point he WAS a zamboni driver for the Marlies. But it was years and years before he played as the emergency back up. Why does everyone act like it was his current job at the time. It had zero relevance.
His was ACTUALLY a fill In goalie for leafs practices when one or both goalies had an optional practice day.
Because they lost to him. And it’s hilarious.
