"people who are actively going for their dreams and giving their best to the world, instead of settling for what society told them to do" i love that line ❤
I'm in my 3rd year college and I still don't even know where I'm going in life. Sometimes I think I don't have any talents or gifts, but I hope I'll be able to find my purpose soon.
bakEdskittLes14 hey girl!!! it doesn't even have to be the talents that are shown limelight only... like singing .... it could be... being an encourager.... being keen.... a listener..... or baking.... cooking..... whatever makes you HAPPY
I think the best way to find out is trying. Try as many things as possible, whether it be arts, or sports, or activities, just keep an open mind and there will be a moment when you'll feel confident and shining from within (my drama classes were a life-changing game for me, as at first I started doing this to fight my shyness and social phobia, but when you're on the stage, knowing exactly what to do, what to say, where to go, it was the first time for me to like being watched by many people. So don't be afraid of trying new things out ; Who knows? Maybe you'll get a nice surprise!
Im 20 and I still don't know what to do with my life. But I have to got to college, and since Ive "wasted" 2 years of my life already Im not allowed to change careers after I choose (moslty because college is expensive). So I have one chance to choose a carrer, and while I know that you don't need to live your dream through you work, I still have to choose a major... And I have no idea...

I use the same pens! I'm also obsessed with them and notebooks. I recently found you on UA-cam and at the age of 40 after a decade of heartache, divorce, toxic relationships and having kids I realized I didn't know who I was. For the the first time in my life had no one telling me who I was supposed to be or what to do and I had no idea where to start. Thank you you will continue to be a huge help in this for me!
I caught myself shining when we were designing characters on our class. I'm studying product design right now, but on one of our classes we had to draw an animal with distinct character, gestures etc, I happily draw mine (turtle) in a record time, I couldn't even keep myself from doodling other animals. When I searched concept design further, I realised how it is a mix of things I love or interesting to me. I'm still going to do this exercise. I need to see all those things on a paper and organise my life.
While I've been in the army I went into a severe depression, to the point that I was thinking about taking my own life. The only thing that could touch me or move me, and get me back to reality - was Music. I'm not a musican nor a singer but Mariah Carey and her self-help songs literally saved my life. Along side with other artists as well... I just can't imagine where I would be without Music. If at all. You said that music is not the best way to touch or influence people... and for me, and I believe for many others as well - music is everything. Ofcourse I respect your opinion! I just wanted to share my point of view about the topic. Besides that, everything else that you said is completely resonating with me! I've been watching you videos for quite a while now, and I have to say I really like most (if not all) of them. So please - keep it up! You are inspiring so many people, including my self. Thank you for that.
Aw that's beautiful to hear. Music has definitely helped me in tough times too. I don't doubt that music can be inspiring & empowering, I just personally had ideas that would be better communicated through words (videos, podcasts, books) than song! Imagine me trying to teach the concept of "Ikigai" and how to find your life purpose in a song... I would sound tacky because music isn't the right medium to teach those details haha. Thank you for the love!! 💕
I dont think u get what she meant: itz in her case tht she thinks music is not the best way to convey her feelings/thoughts to influence ppl etc not that music itself is not influencial at all...
Yes! Music was one of the biggest factors in keeping me alive a few years ago. On top of that, music has always been a way of getting away from the world in a sense. All my life whenever I was down a song would be the answer. Daily, songs help me communicate even with myself, and music is my strongpoint in school by far. Playing two instruments by ear and starting on a third one, I think I can fairly say music has changed my life much for the better. I want to respect Lavendair, but I also respect music.
You are what we need in t his millenial generation. And it's so true, alot of self help or personal growth leaders are from different eras and can be hard to relate to. You understand what we need in a way that is relatable, fun, organized and constructive. Thank you for being an inspiration 👍
I have just read the book itself, called Ikigai - the secret of the Japanese people for a long and happy life, by Héctor García and Francesc Miralles. It has become one of my favorite books, definitely a must read! And it explains the Ikigai concept in more depth, and the funny stories of the most old people on earth who live in Japan, aged 100+!
I dont know what to do with my life and it makes me so stressed, I feel like I'm not good ENOUGH at the things I'm actually good at. I feel like I have potential and a mission in life but I have no idea what I should be doing. I want to be remembered but I don't want to be hated or criticized. I'm scared that I might not be able to achieve my true potential or my dreams, and I don't even know what my dreams are! Sure I have some interest in a few things but not enough to have passion for them.
Take a deep breath, relax and bring up a smile on your face no matter how small or stressed out you are. You've got this! You already know you have potential and you're _aware_ That's what matters the most. You will make everything fall in their respective places. I believe that. So keep smiling!
Elizabeth Berg (“Eat Pray Love”) said you don’t have to wait till you find your passion to do something. What are you curious about? Use that as your starting point.
idkwhatmyusernameshouldbe I have the same problem. I’m good at a lot of things and have interest in a lot of things yet I feel as if I don’t have enough passion to pursue them or enough time to do everything I want to do. Quite the paradox isn’t it? You might want to search up a term called “multipotentialite” (there’s a great tedtalk covering this subject)
Great exercise for ANY age. We may start in one direction then realize that we have not been using all of our gifts to the fullest extent. Love the IKIGAI model and wish this was used early on in high school and again in mid-twenties in college to see if those desires have changed. Thanks @Lavendaire !
Often hitting 40 is when you figure out your true groove - that's what Oprah once said! I struggled in my younger years. Now I am 41 I am doing my dream job after trying numerous jobs 25 years before that! !!
I remember watching your video 2 years back as I was so confused as to what I wanna do career wise and scared that I may not find a fulfilling career that I'll love. I feel restless with the idea that I need to do one thing for the rest of my life. I was glad I stumbled upon your video because it really inspired me and made me hopeful. I tried many things and learn what I like and what I don't like. Fast forward to now, I think I found my ikigai!!✨ Thank you Aileen 😌
So, after you figure out your ikigai, what's next? Plan out your next moves, break down your goals, and create a life that matches your vision with the Artist of Life Workbook: a guided journal to create your best year yet! ✨ lavendaire.com/workbook ✨
for some reason one of your videos just appeared in my feed and I'm so thankful! I'm 23, almost finishing my degree and I have no idea what to do with my life, but I already feel a little bit closer to finding answers by watching you. So, thank you!
Here I was wondering what I should do with my life and career and there you put up a video on it. No wonder I call you my creative Muse. Thanks for all this wonderful content and keeping us inspired to keep pushing us to do better with our lives and dreams.
I believe that it is not necessary to find your passion now but to rather gain experiences doing whatever you may desire and as many things as possible. Life is about that - doing and being. Doing all those things, your passion will eventually find you, not the other way round. So IMO it is useless to look for it, for it will come to you. So stop planning and wondering what to do and start living! This is how you create a life worth living.
I really love this video and find it really inspiring. I'm a singer, a songwriter and a classically trained guitarist. Somehow I do feel that I can affect people's lives directly. I know that it's not the most practical approach, but I often find that people get in touch with their emotions during a concert. They cry, they let go and are inspired to do the things they love when me and my boyfriend perform. Maybe when it is one's purpose in life, we are able to touch someone's life directly through music, but it does take a lot of work to get to that point. Especially to earn a living with it as well. Wishing you all the best! So glad you found your purpose and through that are helping lots of people find their inner voice! 😘❤️
I never comment on videos but this is so inspiring and i’ve felt so lost in what i want to do with my life lately. I plan on doing this on my wall mirror w dry erase when i get home just to have more room and add to it when I think of more things. You’re a wonderful speaker and i can tell you’re so, so passionate about what you do. LOVE it

This has completely hit the nail on the head.. Ive been so confused about what path to take and have so many different passions and skills that I wanto explore in life. Ikigai is a brilliant concept and one that needs to be shared.. thankyou ☀
I think I will bundle them and include them on my website for free :) I do also have the Artist of Life Workbook that I create yearly - lavendaire.com/workbook
Aileen you look so good in this video! It's not just your makeup/outfit/hair, it's a happy and healthy glow you've got on, like you have things in balance in your life :)
I'm a spanish speaker and I can understand just a couple things, but you make it so much easy to me, you are very clear and I want to thank you so much because you helped me a lot, never change:) sorry for my english and kisses from Uruguay💕
I love your Inspiration. You inspire me so much along with all the other great women on youtube who preach similar content. Thank you for changing my mind set and life.
I definitely feel shining and rising up when i make music, when i make art in a general vision. I feel that i was made to throw reflexion in music to the world. It's not about being popular or not, it's about contributing. And it can be with an another point of view of life, or time. Everyone realizes how the time goes fast, and it is so scary... So the music can help a lot, not for being happier and throw smiles around, but for accepting the life the way it is.
Excellent video. You inspire me so much. I'm currently sitting outside in the sun, drinking tea, completing your worksheet and loving my cat. Your videos make me feel like the impossible is possible. Thanks!
I just wanted to thank you because i'm going through a very hard time right now and i clicked on your video and you're just so supportive, positive, you're like a light into my dark world right now so i'm very thankful for that ♡

Dear Aileen, I have been watching your Videos for some time. I find them so empowering and wonderful. this Video in particular is one of the best and i want to try this exercise today. You inspire me and not many people does. I am 35 my first degree is in Nutrition but I don't practice my profession right now. I am now trying to figure out what I really want to do and how to do it. Any way what I wanted to say basically is Thank you. :) Hila from Israel.
You are, in my opinion and 63 yrs of living, absolutely correct in so much of this video. Finding what makes you glow (you’ll know it when you experience it, as will others when they interact with you) is probably the most important part. It’s your motivation, what helps you get past the not so great parts of your day. Have fun with the journey. Ask questions of those in the field you’re exploring (informational interview), and listen to your gut, observe your reactions during the meeting. Are you still excited when you leave, or feel as though you dodged a bullet? That inner voice is your best friend.
I just found your channel! And girl, THANK YOU!! For making this. I was a little lost in my life too, and this is...this is PHENOMENAL. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :) For helping me, and just...yeah. Inspiring us ALL to be our best selves, and live LIFE TO THE FULLEST! 😭👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🙏🏼❤️👏🏼

new sub here. i think this vid is a sign. Im torn between keeping my job and fo full time with my online shop. ive been keep back and forth whether to resign from my job or not. Life is not easy and i have to pay bills, and i have an insurance i have to pay as well. This video makes me realize i should start doing things i want to do! thanksss 😚❤
This is such an important lesson/tip/advice! so, so crucial for sorting out my thoughts on what I was allready thinking about, but didn't have a way to organize and conclude things in my head... Ikigai!!! Yeeeeey
My motivation has been shot since graduating college. Thank you so much for this video. I've finally been looking at youtubers that can help encourage me and help me better myself. It makes me feel like I can accomplish things. My goals in life: I really want to become someone people can rely on, especially my partner and my family. I want to be happy and tell people what I do. I don't want to keep feeling ashamed because I haven't moved forward to better myself because what forward might look like. I've definitely been avoiding thinking about jobs, etc. I just make excuses and don't put myself out there enough. Waste my time on youtube channels that don't help encourage me. But I am doing it. I was able to graduate from a tough school with a Neuroscience Degree. I can do this.
i just found this video, and it could not have come at a better time. i've been stuck in a rut, and I'm dreading it. i wanted (and needed) to reinvent myself and I think this will definitely help. Thank You!
I can assure you that some singers truly changed my life, the lyrics are so important sometimes, I truly believe that music is the most efficient way to talk directly to the person listening to it.
I love so much of how you giving your example because i heard this before but totally still dont know how to overlap these bubble. Thank you for this video.
Very interesting concept. Instead of the overlap between what I'm good at and what I love, I prefer to explore who I am. Self awareness is ultimately the key. Brutal self awareness. We can mislead ourselves when it comes to what we're good and what we love if we're not first incredibly self aware. I know I have. I was a really good film producer and I loved movies and the process but there were things about it that I hated. As a result, I wasn't happy. It wasn't until I started to really understand who I was that I started down a path that is perfectly me. Keep doing you Aileen ❤️
Your comment is interesting - you note how much you loved film production and movies, yet note "there were things about it that I hated." If you're searching for a career that will have no flaws or aspects about it that you hate, then you're ultimately going to be unhappy. I find it intriguing that in contemporary society we base majority of our life/career decisions on this idea of following your "passion," yet passion is so fleeting. It's human nature to get bored of the novel and exciting, and dislike aspects of something you originally loved; that's life. I don't think the key to a successful career is the intersection between what you're good at and what you're passionate about. To be successful, you can't base your motivation towards a career path off passion, as it's so nebulous and fleeting. Success requires discipline, and deliberate practice, even when it gets hard or you hate it. Throwing away your talents for the sake of boredom isn't called being "self aware" - to be honest, it sounds like you left when the going got tough. I don't mean any offence by this, I'm just a random on the internet and I may have interpreted what you intended, but I'm just being brutally honest with you. You seem like a really cool human being regardless. x
Natalie Elizabeth and I in return don't mean to offend you but you are wrong about me. I did not leave when the going gets tough. I currently work 100 hours a week on what I love to do. The going is definitely tough and here I am every weekend working away toward something that I love and am passionate about. Those things I hate were ethical matters (like how the industry is horribly misogynistic and also that it treats a large majority of the people with a meanness that I can't and will never subscribe to) and also for personal matters (I had horrific migraines everyday because of the kind of work it required). It was a difficult decision but the right one. I didn't have the passion for making films to ignore or put up with these matters. And yes, that absolutely is self awareness to realize that no matter the success I had (I raised over $40k for a documentary that was covered in every major news outlet), I would never be happy. I never said I was looking for a career without flaws. I don't enjoy waking up every morning after 5 hours of sleep but I keep doing it because I believe in what I'm doing and because it makes me feel purposeful and therefore joyous. I stick by my statement that we are lured into thinking that our talents should define our careers. If that were the case, I would have never become a writer. I wasn't born with the ability to write. I was terrible for many many years. But through an intense and rigorous level of practice I developed an ability to write professionally. If you're interested, I suggest you read the book Talent is Overrated. It's a thorough study of something called deliberate practice.
Wishing you all the best on your path! I've just graduated from high school and am thinking about career possibilities. What would you say is most important to become a writer?
Thank you so much! The most important thing you can do is develop a rigorous daily practice. I highly recommend you read about something called "deliberate practice." A really good summary can be found here: www.farnamstreetblog.com/2012/07/what-is-deliberate-practice/ Pay particular note of the exercises Ben Franklin developed to become a better writer. It's similar to things I did when I went from being homeless to published author and Columbia grad. Except even more intense. If you really want to be a great writer, put your head down for the next five years and develop this deliberate practice to your craft. You will see enormous results. You might also want to check out my latest video here on UA-cam in which I explain the 3 most effective writing tips I've developed in the last 6 years. Would love to talk more about writing if you have any more questions. Sending you
I owe you a lot. You inspires me in different ways. I think I'm lost right now and then your video came up I found another hope to start my life and do what I love and of course find my Ikigai. Thank you for inspiring many people all over the world. God Bless you. :) Lovelots from Philippines.
My sweetspot is doing youtube (in the niche self care, mental health, personal development mixed with self expression because sometimes my Creativity explodes) & selling creative products (like shirt designs, Quote cards, ebooks & courses). The combination is perfect right now. Sadly I can't afford all the things(mostly programs) I want to have to get better, but I'm thankful for what I already have.
This is perfect for me. I have been down for years now, almost ending my degree but I can't seem to be able to find a future, something I want to work for. I know I am good at drawing and this is what I want to pursue but I know I love to entertain people, make them laugh. So far my idea to reach my ikigai is to work on the gaming industry (I have a good understanding of games) so I can create amazing worlds that people will love to see but... It's not what I want. I want to interact with people, be my own boss but still make art and make people laugh, have a great time, and spend time playing or making games. It's not easy to find what I can do with all this together, out of ideas or maybe it's right in front of me and I am blind to not see it.
Have you considered working in the wider gaming industry (including pen &paper games , increasingly popular board games and toys). It sounds like you would fulfill many of the aspirations you have by doing so. Illustration and children's book publishing might also interest you or working as a museum or community outreach worker using art (which would also fulfill your aspirations IMO). Teaching art in highschool or even nursery school/primary could also be for you since you like working with people. You could easily turn your love of play ,imagination and art skills to enhance your class teaching and make learning fun and innovative for young people! All the best and I hope it hel ps 🎆
Mole Shaman I'm debating on those popular board games/toys, it's something I don't have much knowledge on. My game knowledge has been mostly digital, so PC/Consoles etc, and even with that I might have to leave my country to learn it for real (no courses on the subject on my country and I have searched everywhere). I can't stand young kids for a long time and I hate how many don't care for what you teach so school is a big no for me unfortunatly, and because school only brings bad memories and I rather have a small class away from school that people go because they want to learn the subject.
Sorkary if you wanted to teach, there are schools that high-schoolers can go to take an elective class on something they want to learn. I think they are called Career Institutes, but they could be different in every country. there are also high schools specifically for artists/ people who are creative in many different ways. I go to a career Institute in the U.S. and they have classes on almost everything, even game design.
Sorkary or if u want to interact with people and make them laugh, u could start a UA-cam channel where u draw and play video games? it's just a suggestion, but you would be able to build an audience and entertain them while doing something you like. sorry if what I'm saying is wordy, I like writing. :)
No problem, is good to see people helping. I actually don't know much about Career Institutes, there are just a few in my country and none has what I like, mostly because here we focus more on product/publicity, overall those areas. It's suprisingly restrictive what we can learn and many face the problem to have to go abroad to learn what we personally want. I know in Europe some universities that have game design and I am trying to go study to one of them, one in particular it's exactly what I wanted and gives a solid fundation to work more solo. Drawing and video games UA-cam? I don't think I have ever seen that mixture, but it surely is a thing that I have been thinking on doing for a while.
hi lavendaire! your video really inspired me. I'm starting to figure out whats my talent and passionate about.. I am pretty good in teaching kids that's why I'm planning to have a small tutorial in my house where i can share my talents and skills to them. I can also use my talents in arts/crafts to make materials for my teaching. 😊
You derived out your ikagai wonderfully! If you see this, I'd love to know whether or not you got success on what you thought because it's been almost a year you wrote this comment. 😄
I really needed this talk, thanks beautiful. You have no idea how I feel, i feel like I'm worthless, lost and such a loser for not find my passion at the age of 23. I'm going to do this exercise and I hope it helps me. Would you make a vid about How to Find Yourself? Thanks i like your channel 💙💙💙😭
I have just discovered your channel as I was looking for tips on personal growth and I’ve already watched at least 3 of your videos. I am a first year university student and am completely lost of what I want from life especially pertaining to my career. I love your outlook on life and your tips are very wise. I wish I heard of you sooner! You have already helped so much!
What if I'm not good at anything?? I mean I know what I love, I know what pays, I know what makes Earth a better place but I'm not good at anything. The video would probably help me if I knew it.
just a fangirl if you know what you love, you can take classes to get better, or practice, read books, get someone to critique you or help you with whatever it is that u love. you can develop skills doing what it is that you love, but it might take time
just a fangirl I think a good idea might be to take a self assessment on multiple intelligences. Search 9 intelligences test, and that will give you an idea of what are you naturally good at, or can become good at easiest than in other areas. As an example if you have high Linguistic intelligence, then you will be naturally good at learning languages or writing. I think is a good start if you really feel lost.
I feel you, it was hard for me to identify this too. There are many reasons why it would feel like you are not sure what you are good at, for me it was that I am good at something I didn't think is a REAL skill. So, broadening your view and including even the small things can be a great start. I know this is an old comment, I wonder how you are doing now :) I help people who are stuck with finding their purpose move from uncertainty to clarity about who they are and what they want to do. I am doing my market research now, so if you have a few minutes, please fill out. You can book a chat with me in the end where I can help you identify what is holding you back and how to overcome it :) I am so happy to help, please book the session if you are interested, would love to hear from you :) forms.gle/LbQ3pMVezswodbsm6
This video was recommended to me basically a week after deciding to quit school (I have already graduated from another, so I'm not hopeless.). Thanks for making such an impact on my life!
I was so excited to try this exercise but found myself getting stuck >< what do you recommend for those who struggle knowing where their talents or even their passions lie?
You might have close ones by your side...your parents or other family members..especially your friends. You can ask them to help you with it but yes at first, you should give yourself a chance at it again.
A late reply - but might help somebody else reading it. If you don't know what your talents or strengths are - try writing down answers to 'What comes easily to me?' 'What can I spend hours doing without getting bored/tired?' 'What am I curious about?' :)
I'm exactly at that kind of point in my life. I am leaving my home country Germany and moving to America. I was so excited the whole time, but now its happening in about three weeks and all of the sudden im anxious and scared now how everything will be and im also so confused. i had that one plan i thought im gonna do career wise and now im not sure at all anymore if i even want to try. im definetly going to print your worksheet out tomoorrow and work on it. i love your content and watch soo many of your videos. youre so positive and just an amzing creator. a real inspiration. Tess
I think she forgot to add something to her list, she can really give a good speech! She wrote down that she loves to get inspired, but she's actually the one inspiring many of us. Best part, you can certainly get payed for giving out speeches! Thanks for this video, you truly inspired me 😁
Thank you Aileen, I am now at the moment of being lost in what to do in life because there are so many things that I still wanna achieve but yet time is limited. Then I watched this video of yours about Ikigai which has inspired me. I love your videos. Keep doing it.
Such high quality material :) Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Helped me understand how I may be focussing on only one circle, and so this sense of emptiness in the pit of my stomach, even though I am pretty good at what I do at present.
So I've done thr excercise from your videos 'finding your purpose'. What I wrote as meaningful sentence is 'to learn new languages to create contents that represent me, insipired by travels around the world in order to contribute to develop my community' I need to understand what this means and how to apply it to my life!
I finished high school two years ago and I’m 23 now, I haven’t applied to University because I don’t know what I want to do in my life because I like so many things and people don’t understand how frustrating it is to be good at many things but not be able to choose the right path, I’ve been having a lot of pressure and I feel so embarrassed for this so I just wanna say THANK YOU for this, I know this will help me a lot. All your videos help a lot, KEEP IT UP! Lots of love 💕
Im so glad I found this video. I’ve been on a low place and doubting myself. I got dropped out of high school because I didnt see how it could take me to my dreams. I felt lost until that itch came in. Ive always wanted to make a living through my arts. And im working hard on doing so :)
We change so much through the course of our lives. What we love today we might not love in a few years. What fills our soul today might leave us wanting a few years from now. The world around us also contributes to the perception we have of our likes and dislikes. Even our talents and skills change with time. So this concept of Ikigai is one that would have to be revisited as we mature.
Okay so my ikigai has made it clear to me that im on the right path, youtube/blogging/social media allow me to share all the things that i love to learn and want to teach. Thank you for this worksheet
I'm still figuring out how i can make the world a better place. I'm thinking of being a teacher, but i hope that i have that "glow" that you mentioned from doing exactly what i'm called to do. This video helped me a lot. Thank you :))
I just recently started my own UA-cam channel about lifestyle design and videos like these inspire me so much! Thank you for the wonderful content it really has encouraged me to dig deeper into wellness and inspired me to start my own channel.
Thank you so much for this video. Coming from a communications background, I found it hard to see others excel. I never felt good enough to show or express my talents. I love that you incorporated the Ikigai guide to help direct reason and intentional calling. Thank you for this post! Keep inspiring :)
I just discovered your channel and oh my goodness, how I wish someone had told me this 10 years ago! I'm happy, don't get me wrong, but I am so wishy-washy about my dreams and goals. Thank you for sharing this! I'm about to binge-watch your channel.....
My friend recently discovered your channel and she suggested to me and my friends to watch your videos. This is my first time seeing your video and I feel inspired. I have huge struggles with what want for my future but I'm going to try this. Thanks Lavendaire 💜

bakEdskittLes14 hey girl!!! it doesn't even have to be the talents that are shown limelight only... like singing .... it could be... being an encourager.... being keen.... a listener..... or baking.... cooking..... whatever makes you HAPPY
Isidora Espinoza don't worry...it all works out better than you even expect it to!!!
No pressure

I love her song Make it Happen
Daniel Ohana u
Sure I have some interest in a few things but not enough to have passion for them.
idkwhatmyusernameshouldbe omg I feel exactly the same. It's like I'm hearing myself.
Take a deep breath, relax and bring up a smile on your face no matter how small or stressed out you are. You've got this! You already know you have potential and you're _aware_ That's what matters the most. You will make everything fall in their respective places. I believe that. So keep smiling!
Mmm, I guess you could just go with the flow and see what surprise will happen ;-))
Thanks for all this wonderful content and keeping us inspired to keep pushing us to do better with our lives and dreams.
ha! what perfect timing 😊✨
.
Watching this video after a long day of work, I look forward to going back to work tomorrow because I think it is my ikigai! Thanks Aileen!
Thank you! I was so stressed with trying to find what I want, it gave me severe anxiety, your words made me feel so much better
You are so self actualized ! Thank you for being your total self ! It’s really a blessing to see someone find this in their life !
LOVE it

So the music can help a lot, not for being happier and throw smiles around, but for accepting the life the way it is.
beautiful 💗💗
Lavendaire
Before i forget, kisses and positive energy from Brazil. :)
Music has helped so many ppl!!! Physically and mentally. It's beautiful

That inner voice is your best friend.
so true
I just found your channel! And girl, THANK YOU!! For making this. I was a little lost in my life too, and this is...this is PHENOMENAL. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :) For helping me, and just...yeah. Inspiring us ALL to be our best selves, and live LIFE TO THE FULLEST! 😭👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🙏🏼❤️👏🏼

Yes, I will do that. I think sometimes we might not feel our best even if we are. Serving is a great way to be our best.
new sub here. i think this vid is a sign. Im torn between keeping my job and fo full time with my online shop. ive been keep back and forth whether to resign from my job or not. Life is not easy and i have to pay bills, and i have an insurance i have to pay as well. This video makes me realize i should start doing things i want to do! thanksss 😚❤
Audriana Webber thank you for the advice. will do that! ❤😉
You will do it!
i just found this video, and it could not have come at a better time. i've been stuck in a rut, and I'm dreading it. i wanted (and needed) to reinvent myself and I think this will definitely help. Thank You!
This is exactly what I need, thank you!
I can assure you that some singers truly changed my life, the lyrics are so important sometimes, I truly believe that music is the most efficient way to talk directly to the person listening to it.
Thank you for always being so honest and genuine in your videos, makes me feel at peace whenever I watch💖
Your loves are exactly like mine; hopefully can find more ppl like you it's comforting
Literally just watched this, and continued to look over your assortment of videos, and I already know you will be one of my favorite youtubers
💕💕
I love so much of how you giving your example because i heard this before but totally still dont know how to overlap these bubble. Thank you for this video.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm only in high school, but it helped me to realize where to focus my life now and later on.
you have a lot of time to decide :) enjoy your journey! 💓
Thank you so much💛! You inspired me and I think you made me open my eyes to some skills and hobbies that I’ve ignored for long time🥺💗
Very interesting concept. Keep doing you Aileen ❤️
that's a great point! self awareness is key. thanks so much & wishing you the best in your journey 💞
Your content has been amazing recently! Keep it up! :)
vremeslova21 agreed!
aww thank you love! so grateful for your feedback. pls let me know if you have other topic suggestions!
I feel the same way!!!!!
Lavendaire GREAT VIDEO! very inspiring! continue to inspire! ☺
I am japanese, you changed my life.I'm very grateful.I'm dreaming of seeing you someday♡
your content is smooth and soothing for some reason:)
Blown away by your videos and how much they are applying to my life right now!
awwwww thanks so much for this video !! I'm struggling with this right now so it helps a lot !!
aww good luck bb!! 💞
I’ve been putting off putting content about self help out into the world for too long now, this has inspired to begin!
hi lavendaire! your video really inspired me.
Just started my own channel on this stuff because of bloggers like you who have inspired me! Thank you for all you do!! Love your channel.
I have a whole playlist on soul searching! ua-cam.com/play/PL37ErCJmMWd26gGcvbUK7nNlBSKBi6T-P.html
I think is a good start if you really feel lost.
just a fangirl i have the same problem...
just a fangirl you probably haven’t found or been exposed and had the chance to find that something you’re good at. World is a big place so go wild :)
You can book a chat with me in the end where I can help you identify what is holding you back and how to overcome it :) I am so happy to help, please book the session if you are interested, would love to hear from you :)

This video was recommended to me basically a week after deciding to quit school (I have already graduated from another, so I'm not hopeless.). Thanks for making such an impact on my life!
I was so excited to try this exercise but found myself getting stuck ><
what do you recommend for those who struggle knowing where their talents or even their passions lie?
I would recommend you to go out and try everything, even things you are not 100% sure about! Join classes, programmes and communities!
Rooftopdreams thank you for your answer! 😊
IKIGAI; the reason for living, something that makes you get out of bed in the morning...
that's so beautiful!!
great video! I really needed this today :)
I think she forgot to add something to her list, she can really give a good speech! She wrote down that she loves to get inspired, but she's actually the one inspiring many of us. Best part, you can certainly get payed for giving out speeches! Thanks for this video, you truly inspired me 😁
I really love your videos it is makes me inspiring and hi from Turkey.
Thank you Aileen, I am now at the moment of being lost in what to do in life because there are so many things that I still wanna achieve but yet time is limited. Then I watched this video of yours about Ikigai which has inspired me. I love your videos. Keep doing it.
What a lovely soul you are, thanks keep up the great work :)
I needed this so much!! Thank you! Love your videos💜💜💜
😍
Such high quality material :)
Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Helped me understand how I may be focussing on only one circle, and so this sense of emptiness in the pit of my stomach, even though I am pretty good at what I do at present.
You are so inspiring! I wish I could meet you in Person. Thank you :)
maybe one day :) love you!
So I've done thr excercise from your videos 'finding your purpose'. What I wrote as meaningful sentence is 'to learn new languages to create contents that represent me, insipired by travels around the world in order to contribute to develop my community' I need to understand what this means and how to apply it to my life!
I love this video!
Lots of love 💕
this is cool but i also think that what someone does for work doesnt have to necessarily be the thing that fulfills them
you're right :) they can get fulfillment from hobbies, relationships, volunteering, etc. this video is just what the japanese ikigai concept is about
Im so glad I found this video. I’ve been on a low place and doubting myself. I got dropped out of high school because I didnt see how it could take me to my dreams. I felt lost until that itch came in. Ive always wanted to make a living through my arts. And im working hard on doing so :)
love you.
love you 💞
We change so much through the course of our lives. What we love today we might not love in a few years. What fills our soul today might leave us wanting a few years from now. The world around us also contributes to the perception we have of our likes and dislikes. Even our talents and skills change with time. So this concept of Ikigai is one that would have to be revisited as we mature.
Thank You
Okay so my ikigai has made it clear to me that im on the right path, youtube/blogging/social media allow me to share all the things that i love to learn and want to teach. Thank you for this worksheet
love youuu
💖💖
Thanks, this is an eye opener
Are you Japanese?
You look so beautiful.
Thank you for pushing us to actually apply this theory on paper. I got to find an Ikigai or two... ☺🙏
Thank you for the wonderful content it really has encouraged me to dig deeper into wellness and inspired me to start my own channel.
wow, thank you so much! such a practical approach to a dauntingly big question!
💕 good luck in your search!
I'm Vietnamese. English is the language i'm learning and I understand most of things you say. This video is very helpful. Thank you so much ❤️😘😘
Thank you so much for this video.
This process sounds amazing. I went through a really similar thought process recently and I love how this worksheet lays it out perfectly.
